On the other side.
"Lu Hansheng, why are you only arriving now? Have you registered yet?" Ji Sinian called out to the boy walking ahead as he jogged over.
Lu Hansheng turned around upon hearing the voice. He was surprised to run into Ji Sinian as soon as he entered the school. He paused for a moment and said in a low voice, "Not yet, I'm just about to go."
Ji Sinian patted him on the shoulder and said with a smile, "I'll take you! I know the school very well."
Lu Hansheng nodded, "Okay."
Ji Sinian glanced at the suitcase beside his legs and placed his hand on the handle. "Let me help you with your luggage."
Lu Hansheng: "No need."
"Oh dear, let's go, let's go." With that, she pulled her suitcase and walked forward.
Seeing this, Lu Hansheng had no choice but to follow.
After registering at the Finance Department's freshman reception desk, Ji Sinian took Lu Hansheng directly to the dormitory apartment building.
Lu Hansheng's dormitory is in the building next to Ji Sinian's.
Ji Sinian carried his suitcase up the stairs and said with some regret, "I thought we'd at least be on the same floor."
If you don't make a special effort to find someone in university, even if you live in the same dormitory building, you're unlikely to bump into them.
Lu Hansheng stared at his suitcase, pursed his lips, and said, "How about I carry it? It's a bit heavy."
Upon hearing this, Ji Sinian raised an eyebrow. "Damn, you underestimate me. I could carry you on my shoulder even if I had you on my back."
Before Lu Hansheng could even speak, he quickly carried the suitcase up one floor without breaking a sweat.
Lu Hansheng: "..."

After dinner, Ji Yanchen took Shi Miao to buy some daily necessities and also bought two large bags of snacks.
The two walked down to the dormitory building.
"You really don't need to buy so many. I can't eat that much by myself." Shi Miao glanced at the three large bags the man was carrying.
Ji Yanchen's clear, sharp eyes were softened by a gentle light, and his tone was tinged with amusement: "Don't you still have roommates? Otherwise, you can give it to Si Nian too."
Shi Miao thought about it and agreed. She lifted her eyes, which were clear and bright. "Give it to me. I'm going up."
"Nothing to say?" The man's tone was soothing and low, like the tinkling of a clear spring.
Shi Miao's eyes flickered slightly. She tilted her head back and quickly kissed the man's lips, her voice slightly hoarse as she asked, "Is that enough?"
Ji Yanchen let out a low laugh, the last syllable of which seemed to have a hook.
He handed her the bag he was carrying. "Go ahead."
Back in the dormitory, Shi Miao pushed open the door, and her other two roommates were already back.
The two girls seemed to have just become acquainted. When they heard the door open, they both stopped talking and turned to look at Shi Miao who had come in.
They were probably stunned by Shi Miao's looks and didn't come to their senses for a long time.
Shi Miao walked to her bed, took off her baseball cap, and put the three bags she was carrying on the table.
One of the girls, who was sweet-looking and rather plump, was the first to react. She stood up and walked to Shi Miao's side, her brows furrowed with excitement. "Night God, I'm your fan! My name is Jiang Ning, and I'm from Yuncheng."
Shi Miao took a bottle of water out of the bag, nodded, and said politely, "Shi Miao is from H City."
"My name is Su Wenxue." The girl who spoke was quite pretty, with a delicate and refined appearance. She had long, jet-black hair draped behind her head, but the light blue cotton dress she was wearing seemed a bit faded from washing.
Jiang Ning pointed to the bed opposite Shi Miao and said with a smile, "There is another roommate named Xia Zhixu. She went out to eat and hasn't come back yet. She is a local from Beijing."
After greeting everyone, Shi Miao turned around, picked up one of the bags full of snacks on the table, and handed it to Jiang Ning next to her, saying, "You guys can share this."
Jiang Ning didn't take it immediately, and said somewhat embarrassedly, "Night God, aren't you going to eat it? This is too much."
"I have another bag, take it." Shi Miao handed it to her again.
She paused for a moment and then said, "Just call me by my name."
"Ah, okay, thank you!" Jiang Ning didn't refuse and reached out to take it.
She walked over to Su Wenxue with the bag in her hand. "Wenxue, see what you like to eat. You pick first."
Su Wenxue hesitated for a few seconds, then casually took some and said in a low voice, "Shi Miao, thank you."
Shi Miao gave a faint "hmm," opened the wardrobe, took out her pajamas, and walked towards the bathroom.
After taking a shower, Xia Zhixu returned to her dorm and brought small desserts for her two roommates.
When she saw Shi Miao come out, she was slightly stunned. Although she had seen Shi Miao's photos online, she did not expect that she would be even more beautiful in person than in the photos.
Xia Zhixu stood up, took the beautifully packaged box and placed it on Shi Miao's table, smiling as she said, "These are some little desserts I brought back."
"Thank you." Shi Miao dried her hair with one hand, walked to the table, pulled out a chair and sat down. Her cheeks were slightly pink because she had just taken a shower.
Xia Zhixu: "Oh, and thank you for the snacks too."
Shi Miao hummed in agreement, her delicate eyebrows lowered, and continued drying her hair.
Just then, the cell phone on the table rang.
Shi Miao put down the towel, picked up her phone, and saw it was a video call from Ji Yanchen.
She put on her headphones, pressed the answer button, and then stood up and went to the balcony.
Looking at the girl's wet hair, Ji Yanchen's eyes were filled with tenderness as he smiled and said, "Just finished showering?"
“Yes.” Shi Miao lazily bent her legs and leaned against the balcony railing, turning her head to look at the students coming and going downstairs.
How are your roommates?
"Not bad." At least that's how it seems for now.
"Go dry your hair first. The hairdryer is in the drawer on the left side of your desk."
Shi Miao narrowed his dark eyes. "Okay, I understand."
...
After hanging up the video call, Shi Miao took her phone and returned to her dorm room.
Xia Zhixu's eyes flickered slightly, and she couldn't help but ask, "Boyfriend?"
Shi Miao paused as she picked up the towel, her brow furrowing almost imperceptibly, before giving a rather indifferent "hmm."
Jiang Ning took a bite of the pastry Xia Zhixu brought back and asked with interest, "Is it from our school?"
"No." Shi Miao wiped her hair and sat back down in her chair.
"Is that... Peking University across the street?" Xia Zhixu continued to ask.
"No, he graduated a long time ago." Shi Miao wiped the hair a few times casually, then opened the drawer and took out a hair dryer.
“I see.” Xia Zhixu nodded.
Graduated a long time ago? How old must you be?
She glanced at the hair dryer Shi Miao had taken out, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes. She walked closer and examined it more closely, asking incredulously, "Your hair dryer isn't that one of those new limited edition models from D brand that costs six figures, is it?"
Shi Miao's brow twitched, her hand pausing as she plugged in the electricity paused, and she casually said, "No, it's fake."
"Oh." Xia Zhixu breathed a sigh of relief for some reason, and then subtly glanced at Shi Miao's black backpack hanging to the side. It was very ordinary and not a brand name.
Even the pajamas she was wearing and the simple red string on her wrist were just ordinary clothes.
But then she thought about it and felt something was off. Wasn't Shi Miao supposed to be Ye Yu? Why didn't she even have a decent brand-name item on her?
Suddenly, a bold guess popped into my head: Could it be that Ye Yu's identity is fake...?
