Inside the taxi, Gu Yanxin's phone kept ringing; it was Yun Rujin calling.
A hint of impatience flashed in Gu Yanxin's eyes. She turned off her phone and was about to put it back in her bag.
With a loud bang, the car suddenly shook violently, and Gu Yanxin was caught off guard, her phone slipped under the car, and her head hit the seat in front of her.
She cried out in pain, rubbed her reddened forehead, and said angrily, "How can you drive like that!"
The taxi driver in front was terrified and said with lingering fear, "Damn it, that car in front was driving straight towards us in the wrong direction. Luckily, I reacted quickly and stepped on the brakes."
The driver opened the car door, cursing and swearing, ready to get out and confront the person. Suddenly, a tall man dressed in black got out of the car opposite.
Fu Jin tossed a wad of cash to the driver, then opened the back door of the taxi and yanked Gu Yanxin out.

Gu Yunbai slowly opened his eyes and said in a hoarse voice, "Water..."
"Yunbai, you're awake!" Yun Rujin quickly poured him a glass of water and fed it to him.
"What's wrong with me?" Gu Yunbai raised his hand and rubbed his temples.
"You were perfectly fine when you suddenly fainted and vomited a lot of blood... Thank goodness you're alright! It really scared me to death."

"Mom, save me!" Gu Yanxin's watery eyes trembled violently as she gripped Yun Rujin's arm tightly.
Shi Miao clicked her tongue, slightly raised her chin, her expression indifferent, yet she exuded an invisible sense of pressure.
"She poisoned the tea you drank tonight."
Upon hearing this, a flicker of disbelief crossed Gu Yunbai's eyes. He recalled that Gu Yanxin had suddenly called out to him while he was drinking...
"You bitch!" Gu Yunbai raised his hand and pointed at Gu Yanxin on the ground with trembling hands.
"Yunbai! How could you believe what Shi Miao said!"
"Shut the hell up! Did you two plan this together?!" Gu Yunbai coughed a few times, his eyes sharp as he looked at the two men on the ground.
"Xinxin, tell me, what exactly happened? Did Shi Miao slander you?" Yun Rujin looked at Gu Yanxin, whose hair was disheveled and whose face was covered in tears, in her arms.
Gu Yanxin's eyes darted around, she bit her lip, and said in a trembling voice, "Mom... I... I don't know what Shi Miao is talking about..."
"Alright, I don't care if you admit it or not, I'm taking your hands today." Shi Miao said casually, arms crossed, his gaze carefree and flirtatious.
"Shi Miao, are you crazy? Don't push your luck!" Yun Rujin's delicate eyebrows furrowed, and flames blazed in her eyes.
Gu Yunbai closed his eyes and remained silent, clearly acquiescing to Shi Miao's actions.
Ji Yanchen gave Fu Jin and Ye Chuan a wink.
Ye Chuan understood and stepped forward to pull Yun Rujin aside.
"Mom!" Gu Yanxin's eyes trembled violently, her watery eyes filled with fear.
Fu Jin grabbed a chair from the side and, before Yun Rujin could react, slammed it hard onto Gu Yanxin's hands, instantly destroying the chair and sending fragments flying everywhere.
"Aaaaaaah..." Gu Yanxin's heart-wrenching screams echoed in the ward. Large beads of sweat poured down her face, soaking her forehead. Her eyes rolled back, and she fainted from the pain.
"Xinxin!" Yun Rujin was clearly frightened by the scene; she hadn't expected Shi Miao to actually dare to make a move.
Coming to her senses, she rushed over, her eyes filled with suppressed hatred as she looked at her daughter whose hands were covered in blood.
"Gu Yunbai, how could you be so heartless? She's your daughter whom you've doted on for over a decade!" Yun Rujin glared viciously at the silent man on the bed.
“I don’t have a daughter with such a vicious heart,” Gu Yunbai said coldly, frowning.
"Hahahaha, indeed, she is not your daughter, she is my biological daughter, Yun Rujin's daughter." Yun Rujin said through gritted teeth, her face contorted.
"What did you say?" Gu Yunbai couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Isn't it because your dead mother looked down on me for coming from a humble background? I haven't gotten pregnant in the two years we've been married, and your mother said I'm a barren hen. But it's not that I can't lay eggs, it's clearly you, Gu Yunbai, who has the problem! Hahahaha..." Yun Rujin's bloodshot eyes were filled with madness and resentment.
"You bitch...you bitch! How dare you? Cough cough cough..." Gu Yunbai's eyes blazed with fury, and his originally bloodless face turned bright red from the violent coughing.
A hint of disbelief flashed in Shi Miao's eyes. She never expected that Gu Yanxin was actually Yun Rujin's biological daughter.
"Let's go," Shi Miao said casually as she turned to Ji Yanchen.
With a hint of tenderness in his eyes, Ji Yanchen nodded, took Shi Miao's hand, and walked out.
Seeing this, Fu Jin and Ye Chuan followed closely behind.
Ye Chuan even thoughtfully called a doctor for him.
