Shi Miao returned to the classroom slowly, just in time.
"Where did my uncle call you? It took you so long to come back." Ji Sinian was looking down at his phone when he saw Shi Miao return and looked up at her curiously.
"Let's eat breakfast." Shi Miao pulled out a chair, sat down, stretched, and started playing on her phone.
Ji Sinian pointed at Shi Miao and accused, "Damn it, you guys have no heart! You didn't even call me for something as important as breakfast."
Shi Miao slapped his hand away, raised an eyebrow slightly, and said, "Tsk, go call your uncle."
"Sister Miao, I'm definitely not your favorite baby anymore. Oh, little cabbage, turning yellow in the field..."
Shi Miao's lips twitched slightly. "Shut up."
"Sigh, Sister Miao, you don't understand my pain."
"I don't really want to understand either."
"......"
With a ding, a message from Qin Xiao popped up on my phone.
Sun Shining Brightly: [Shi Xiaomiao, those pills were all sold at a high price, and the money has just been transferred to your account.]
Meow Meow Meow: [Yes, received.]
The sun is shining brightly: [Your classmate has woken up and wants to see you.]
Meow Meow Meow: [Okay.]
The sun is shining brightly: "Want me to come with you?"
Meow meow meow: [Are you very free?]
The sun is shining brightly: [I'm just afraid you'll get swindled by a pretty boy.]
Meow meow meow: [You're sick.]
The sun shines brightly: [Shi Xiaomiao!]
Shi Miao ignored him, switched the chat interface to the game interface, and started playing Candy Crush.

After school, Shi Miao didn't go home, but went directly to the hospital where Lu Hansheng was.
She glanced at the ward number Qin Xiao had sent her on her phone and arrived at the ward door a few minutes later.
Shi Miao raised her hand and knocked on the door.
"Come in." Lu Hansheng's voice came from inside.
She pushed open the door and walked in, saying lazily, "What do you want?"
When Lu Hansheng saw that it was Shi Miao, his eyes lit up.
"Shi Miao, thank you for saving me." He leaned weakly against the hospital bed, his face pale as he looked at Shi Miao.
Shi Miao leaned against the window, looking somewhat languid, and said indifferently, "It's nothing, I just can't stand seeing someone die in front of me."
Lu Hansheng clenched her fists, pursed her lips, and cautiously asked, "I haven't been able to go to school lately. Could you lend me your laptop to take a look?"
Upon hearing this, Shi Miao slightly raised her eyes and said casually, "Sorry, I don't have a notebook."
A hint of disappointment flashed in Lu Hansheng's eyes. He lowered his gaze and said softly, "Can I ask you if there's anything I don't understand?"
Shi Miao initially wanted to refuse, mainly because she thought it would be too much trouble, but she couldn't very well stifle a young man's thirst for knowledge.
After thinking for a moment, Shi Miao took out her phone. "Let's add each other as friends. If you don't understand anything, just send me a message."
Lu Hansheng looked up in surprise and quickly picked up his phone from the bedside table, despite the pain.
The phone is just a bit old; it takes forever to open a text message.
The boy's ears turned bright red, and he said embarrassedly, "Sorry, my phone is lagging."
"Give it to me." Shi Miao noticed his embarrassment.
"Ah... okay." Lu Hansheng obediently handed her the phone.
Shi Miao took the phone, fiddled with it for a while, then added his own chat account and returned it to him.
"Okay, it won't freeze anymore."
Lu Hansheng took the phone and opened the chat app, finding that he was logged in in less than a second. He tried other apps and the same thing happened.
"What's going on?" he asked in surprise, turning the phone in his hand over and over.
Shi Miao put his hands in his pockets and said casually, "It's nothing, I just optimized some settings for you."
"Thank you." Lu Hansheng gripped his phone tightly.
Shi Miao raised her hand and adjusted her baseball cap. "Okay, I'm leaving now."
Lu Hansheng stared at Shi Miao's departing figure, his gaze gradually deepening.
......
As soon as Shi Miao stepped out of the hospital, she saw Qin Xiao pacing back and forth by the roadside.
She strode forward, patted Qin Xiao on the shoulder, and asked, "What are you doing?"
Qin Xiao was startled by Shi Miao's sudden appearance and exclaimed, "Holy crap! How did you appear out of nowhere? You scared me to death!"
He nervously looked Shi Miao up and down, "What did that pretty boy call you here for? Did you save the damsel in distress and he wants to repay you with his body?"
Shi Miao's lips twitched slightly. "No, what's going on in your head all day?"
"I was just worried about you." Qin Xiao knew from her tone that it wasn't what he thought, and he instantly breathed a sigh of relief.
Qin Xiao touched the bridge of his nose and said awkwardly, "Ahem, are you hungry? Want to go get some skewers?"
Upon hearing this, Shi Miao raised an eyebrow slightly and said lazily, "Tsk, let's go."
"Wait for me, I'll go get the car." Qin Xiao's eyes lit up, and he ran off to get the car.
[Didi] — "Get in, Shi Xiaomiao." The man slowly pulled up to the side of the road in a flashy pink Ferrari.
Shi Miao felt her eyes burning, raised her hand to lower the brim of her hat, and quickly got into the car.
Inside the car, a corny DJ track was playing: "I'd give up all the glory for you, to travel the world hand in hand with you..."
Sitting in the passenger seat, Shi Miao's eyelids twitched as she listened. Helplessly, she asked, "Could you turn it off?"
"You have no taste, Shi Xiaomiao," Qin Xiao retorted, but reached out and turned off the music.
"And is this as ear-piercing as your phone ringtone? Meow meow meow meow..."
Shi Miao's lips twitched slightly. "Get lost."
"You're getting angry when I say that? Just tell me, isn't your taste even more outdated?"
Shi Miao ignored him and opened her phone to see a message from Ji Yanchen.
Ji Yanchen: [What are you doing? Have you eaten?]
Meow meow meow: [On my way to dinner with my friend.]
Meow Meow Meow: [Do you want to come?]
Looking at what she had sent, Shi Miao felt like she had just been possessed by a ghost. Just as she was about to retract it, she saw the message from the man.
Ji Yanchen: [Okay, tell me the location.]
"Where should we eat?" Shi Miao turned her head to look at Qin Xiao, who was driving beside her.
Qin Xiao's thin lips curled slightly, "I already found out where the best barbecue is, the food street behind the university town."
“Oh, a friend of mine is coming too.” Shi Miao nodded and sent her location to Ji Yanchen.
"Shi Xiaomiao! We clearly agreed it would just be the two of us, how could you call someone else!" Qin Xiao was completely flustered upon hearing this.
"Tsk, this was an accident. I'll treat you next time." Shi Miao touched his nose to hide his embarrassment.
"You said it, it's a deal. Pinky promise!" Qin Xiao stretched out his right hand in front of her.
Shi Miao slapped his hand away and said casually, "It's true, I'd be a dog if I lied to you."
Haven't you lied to me enough?
