Chapter 133 I want to let Shi Miao know the difference between her and me.

The old Qin family residence in the capital city.

"Mingyue, why are you back again?" Huo Shu paused, her hand holding the cup still, and looked up at her daughter who had returned less than half an hour after leaving home.

Qin Mingyue's eyes flickered slightly. She pursed her lips, picked up her bag, and sat down next to her. "My friend has something to do and can't go."

She turned her head and looked towards the stairwell, whispering, "Where's my brother?"

Huo Shu took a sip of coffee and said softly, "Let's go back to my room."

"By the way, I found out from your brother that it is indeed the Shi Miao we know."

Qin Mingyue's brow twitched, and her eyes revealed undisguised disgust. "It really is her."

Huo Shu put down her cup and slowly voiced her guess: "Shi Miao might be Gu Wanqing's goddaughter."

Qin Mingyue picked up the invitation on the table, a disdainful smile playing on her lips, and scoffed, "Mom, we're not going tomorrow. Isn't she just sending us invitations to get the Qin family to support Shi Miao?"

He then tore the invitation to shreds.

She beckoned to the maid not far away, handed her the scraps of paper, and ordered, "Throw this out."

The maid nodded. "Yes, Miss."

A hint of surprise flashed in Huo Shu's eyes. She hadn't expected her to tear up the invitation. "Why did you tear this up?"

Qin Mingyue shrugged indifferently and said with disdain, "Anyway, we're not going, so what's the point of keeping it?"

Huo Shu suddenly thought of something and said hesitantly, "But your brother will definitely go. Who in the entire capital doesn't know him? If he goes, wouldn't he represent our Qin family?"

After pondering for a moment with her chin propped up, Qin Mingyue's eyes suddenly lit up. She looked up at Huo Shu and said, "Mom, my graduation banquet date hasn't been set yet, right? How about we set it for tomorrow, also at the Venus Hotel! And the banquet hall is right next to theirs. Gu Wanqing is just the president of a piano association, and I guess the people she invited are all people who aren't even considered big names in the capital. I want Shi Miao to know the difference between her and me. Does she think that having a godmother will allow her to enter the upper echelons of the capital?"

"And from what I heard from Grandpa and Dad, they wanted me to host a joint graduation banquet with Lu Wenyuan, didn't they?" she continued.

As soon as he finished speaking, Qin Mo walked in from outside.

"What are you two whispering about? What's wrong with the graduation celebration?"

"Why are you back so early today?" Huo Shu coughed, stood up, and walked over to take the suit jacket he was draped over his arm.

Qin Mo loosened his tie, walked over and sat down next to Qin Mingyue. "There was nothing much going on at the company, so I came back first."

Qin Mingyue's eyes flickered slightly. She affectionately hugged Qin Mo's arm and said in a coquettish tone, "Dad, Mom and I have discussed and want to set the graduation banquet for tomorrow."

Upon hearing this, Qin Mo's eyes flashed with slight surprise. "Tomorrow? Why the rush?"

Qin Mingyue pursed her lips and said in a muffled voice, "I don't want to do it together with Lu Wenyuan."

“Yes, Mingyue is your own daughter. No matter how much you love Wenyuan, you can’t have their graduation banquets combined.” Huo Shu chimed in from the side.

She was initially dissatisfied with Qin Mo and Old Master Qin's suggestion as well.

Seeing that Qin Mo remained silent, Qin Mingyue shook his arm and said sweetly, "Dad, please say yes. Our family isn't short of money for another graduation banquet, so why should we have to share it?"

Qin Mo frowned slightly, "It's not that we have to co-host, but the timing is too rushed."

Seeing that he seemed to be relenting, Qin Mingyue continued, "I just want to get this done as soon as possible. What if you and Grandpa change your minds again in a few days? As long as the money is in place, there's no rush. Besides, you said before that you would grant me any wish as long as I get into Tsinghua University."

Upon hearing this, a hint of helplessness flashed in Qin Mo's eyes, and he affectionately ruffled the top of her head.

He looked up at Huo Shu beside him and said, "Alright, you should get started on it now."

Huo Shu smiled and nodded, "What about Dad?"

"I'll talk to Dad later. He's too old to bother with these things."

Qin Mingyue curled her lips into a smile. The thought of not only slapping Shi Miao in the face this time but also being able to hold separate graduation banquets with Lu Wenyuan filled her with excitement and anticipation.

She stood up. "Dad, I'll make you a cup of tea."

......

Just as Qin Mingyue walked into the living room with her teacup, Qin Xiao came down the stairs with his phone in his hand and one hand in his pocket.

He raised an eyebrow and asked in a rather casual tone, "Dad, why are you back at this hour?"

Qin Mo looked up at him, somewhat surprised, "Nothing's wrong at the company, why are you back?"

Qin Xiao walked over to a single sofa and sat down. "I'm coming back early because I have to attend a friend's college entrance celebration tomorrow."

Qin Mingyue's expression stiffened slightly, her fingers holding the teacup tensed slightly, and she said softly, "Dad, your tea."

Qin Mo paused as he took the teacup, glancing at Qin Mingyue beside him out of the corner of his eye. "Tomorrow? What a coincidence? Your sister's graduation banquet is also tomorrow."

Qin Xiao was taken aback for a moment, then swept his sharp gaze over her and said in a deep voice, "When was this decision made? How come I'm only finding out now?"

Qin Mo: "It was just decided."

Qin Xiao frowned. "Why tomorrow? That's too rushed."

Qin Mo lowered his head and took a sip of tea, saying in a rather helpless tone, "Your sister insists on doing it tomorrow."

Qin Xiao: "Didn't you see the invitation?"

A hint of surprise flashed in Qin Mo's eyes. "What invitation?"

Qin Xiao slightly raised his chin and asked Qin Mingyue, "Where's the invitation?"

Qin Mingyue's eyes flickered slightly. She turned her head away and said coldly, "I don't know."

Qin Xiao's face was cold, exuding an invisible pressure. "Did you hide?"

Qin Mingyue slightly clenched her cool fingertips and raised her voice, "Qin Xiao, are you sick? Why would I hide an invitation?"

Qin Mo was completely bewildered by the two of them. He slammed his hand on the table with a serious expression and asked in a stern voice, "What exactly is going on with Qin Xiao?"

Qin Xiao concealed the coldness in his eyes and said in a deep voice, "My aunt sent someone to deliver an invitation to a graduation banquet."

Qin Mo was stunned for a moment upon hearing this. After regaining his senses, he asked in confusion, "A graduation banquet? Are you sure you're not mistaken? When did your uncle and aunt have a child?"

Qin Xiao rubbed his temples, feeling a bit of a headache. Qin Mo was still unaware that Qin Chu was an imposter; only he and Old Master Qin knew about this.

"This matter is rather complicated and I can't say too much about it, but my aunt does have a daughter named Shi Miao, who is also my friend. I'm attending her college entrance celebration tomorrow."

Qin Mingyue's almond-shaped eyes were filled with disbelief, and she blurted out subconsciously, "What! Shi Miao is really Gu Wanqing's daughter! Not someone she's adopted?"
