Chapter 157 Shi Miao: It's Your Fault for Being Too Tempting

"Boss, where are we going?" Zhong Li fastened his seatbelt and turned to look at the girl in the back seat.

Shi Miao lowered her eyelids, tapped her phone screen with her fingers, and said without looking up, "Shi Family Manor."

Zhong Li was slightly taken aback. When she came to her senses, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes. "Damn, you're not talking about the reclusive Shi family, are you?"

Upon hearing this, Shi Miao slightly raised her eyes, her delicate eyebrows arching slightly, and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "Otherwise what?"

"Wait, when did you infiltrate a reclusive family?"

Shi Miao then realized that she hadn't told him. She yawned, looking a little tired, and said succinctly, "Shi Jing is my dad."

Zhong Li's lips twitched slightly, and he said with a complicated expression, "Boss, you're getting more and more outrageous with your boasting. You can't just take advantage of the fact that you two share the same surname to randomly claim someone as your father."

Shi Miao's brow twitched, feeling rather speechless. She tossed him two passes and said, "Stop talking nonsense and drive."

Zhong Li took it and glanced at it, her jaw nearly dropping in shock. "Holy crap, don't tell me this is a pass for a reclusive family?"

Shi Miao glanced at him with her beautiful dark eyes and said in a rather indifferent tone, "Well, so can we leave now?"

"Let's go now." Zhong Li coughed, put down the pass in her hand, and quickly started the car.

Two hours later, the car slowly drove into the Shi family manor.

A few minutes later, they stopped in front of the villa.

Zhong Li glanced at the girl resting with her eyes closed in the back seat through the rearview mirror. "Boss, we've arrived."

Shi Miao lifted her eyelids, her beautiful eyes misty and moist.

She yawned, picked up her schoolbag, and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "I'm leaving."

Zhong Li glanced at the large villa in front of her and couldn't help but ask again, "Boss, is the head of the Shi family really your father?"

"If he's not my dad, then who is he?" Shi Miao opened the car door, got out briskly, and then slammed the door shut.

Zhong Li touched the tip of her nose, watching the girl's departing figure, and muttered, "Damn, that's fierce. Is she on her period?"

...

Just as Shi Miao stepped into the living room carrying her schoolbag, the butler greeted her with a smile, "Miss, congratulations on getting a perfect score again."

"Mm." Shi Miao nodded and lazily walked to the sofa and sat down.

She unzipped her backpack, took out the trophy, and casually placed it on the coffee table.

"Miaomiao, you're back." Gu Wanqing came down the stairs, followed by Shi Jing.

Shi Miao raised her clear eyes and looked at the two people walking over. "Dad, Mom."

Gu Wanqing sat down next to the girl and said softly, "Have you told Yan Chen yet?"

Shi Miao leaned back slightly on the sofa and said, "I told you."

Shi Jing asked, completely bewildered, "What did you say?"

Gu Wanqing: "Tell him to come over for dinner tonight."

Shi Jing couldn't help but mutter, "Why would we call him over for a family meal?"

Gu Wanqing frowned slightly, "Yan Chen is Miao Miao's boyfriend, so how come they're not family?"

Shi Jing coughed and said gently, "Yes, you're right."

Shi Miao crossed her arms, her eyes bright yet slightly dark, her voice tinged with laughter, "Dad, you don't like him?"

"It's alright, it's just that she's a bit too old. How about Dad introduces you to someone around the same age?"

Gu Wanqing was displeased upon hearing this and glared at him, "Can you stop worrying about things that don't concern you? Anyway, I only recognize Yan Chen."

Shi Miao raised an eyebrow, rested her chin on her long, slender, pale hand, and said, "I agree."

Shi Jing: "..."

...

At the hotel.

Qin Mingyue frowned, restarting her phone several times but still couldn't turn off the music.

Enraged, she slammed her phone to the ground, shattering the screen and stopping the music abruptly.

Qin Mingyue's chest heaved violently, her eyes revealing a sinister look. She couldn't understand who had played this prank.

I have a feeling that people came here because of the photos she took.

She only sent the photos to Ji Yanchen, but he probably wouldn't do something so pointless.

Who could it be? Could it simply be a virus infection on their phone?

Just then, there were two knocks on the door.

Qin Mingyue took a deep breath, stood up, and walked towards the door.

She opened the door. "Uncle, what's wrong?"

Huo Yudong frowned and said in a somewhat displeased tone, "Mingyue, did you forget that you were supposed to meet downstairs? I sent you messages but you didn't reply, and no one answered my calls. Everyone is waiting for you in the lobby downstairs. Hurry up and take your luggage downstairs; we're going to the airport."

Qin Mingyue lowered her eyes, suppressing the irritation in them, and said softly, "I understand, Uncle."

"Okay, hurry up."

Qin Mingyue nodded and turned to go back to her room.

She walked to the table and stuffed all her things into her suitcase.

After tidying up, she glanced at the broken phone on the ground, thought for a moment, then picked it up and put it in her bag, planning to find someone to check if the data could be recovered when she returned to the capital.

He then picked up the room key, pushed his suitcase, and walked out of the room.

...

The night sky is dotted with stars.

After dinner, Shi Miao and Ji Yanchen took a walk hand in hand in the back garden of the villa.

Ji Yanchen gently squeezed the girl's fingertips, a faint smile appearing on his ink-wash-like eyebrows. He gazed at the girl and slowly said, "It's my sister's birthday next week. Shall we go back together?"

Upon hearing this, Shi Miao looked up. Her clear, bright eyes were pure and strikingly beautiful.

Thinking that Shi Jing's body no longer needed daily acupuncture, she nodded and lazily said, "Okay."

Ji Yanchen's eyes darkened, his voice low and husky, carrying a seductive undertone: "Are you free tomorrow?"

Shi Miao raised an eyebrow, her porcelain-white face exquisite and beautiful, her upturned eyes captivatingly beautiful. "Yes, what's wrong?"

Ji Yanchen chuckled softly, suddenly moving closer, their breaths mingling intimately, his voice rather hoarse, "Let's go on a date."

Shi Miao's eyes flickered slightly as she stared at the man's captivating face, which seemed to bring him trouble. Suddenly, she tilted her head back and kissed his thin lips.

Ji Yanchen was stunned for a moment, not expecting the girl to kiss him first.

Shi Miao regretted it as soon as she kissed him. She turned her head away, coughed a little embarrassedly, and said in a serious tone, "It's your fault for being too tempting."

Ji Yanchen couldn't find his voice for a while, and said mechanically, "Is it because I'm too tempting?"

Shouldn't he be the one to say that?

Shi Miao touched the tip of her nose. "Ah, right, so don't seduce me."

"Heh." Ji Yanchen came back to his senses, and the smile in his eyes rippled outwards like waves. He reached out and pulled the girl into his arms, his warm palm cupping the back of her head.

The next second, a very light kiss landed on the girl's beautiful eyes, then slowly moved down and landed precisely on her red lips.

A few minutes later.

The man finally released her, breathing heavily, his warm breath brushing against her ear.

Shi Miao touched her slightly flushed cheeks, her eyelashes fluttering slightly, and said softly, "Let's go."

Ji Yanchen looked at the girl's luscious, full red lips, his gaze lingering for a second before he couldn't resist lowering his head and kissing her again.

Shi Miao: "..."
