Chapter 206 Miao Shen, flirted and ran away?

The weekend flew by.

Shi Miao learned about Qin Mingyue's affair with Qin Chu and their secret trip to Independent Continent from Xie Sizhou's big mouth.

She wasn't too surprised, since she wasn't interested in Qin Mingyue's affairs at all. What did concern her was why Qin Chu had gotten involved. He wasn't the kind of person who would do something pointless, but what his purpose was remained a mystery.

"Sister Miao, let's go, it's almost time for class." Jiang Ning glanced at the time on her phone and turned to look at the room next door.

The girl's beautiful eyes were half-closed, her posture was quite languid, she was twirling a pen in her hand, and there was a half-finished piece of music on the table, as if she was deep in thought about something.

"Hmm?" Shi Miao snapped out of her reverie, put down her pen, stood up, and pulled out the textbook she would need for class from the bookshelf. "Okay, I got it."

She glanced down at the half-written piece of music on the table, picked up the paper, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it into the trash can.

Jiang Ning naturally noticed her actions and asked curiously, "Sister Miao, you've already written half of it, why did you throw it away again?"

Shi Miao stretched and said casually, "There are a few parts that aren't written well. I'll rewrite them later."

Jiang Ning nodded, understanding. After all, she had heard Shi Miao mention that the song was written for the sports meet, so it couldn't be done carelessly.

Shi Miao casually slung his backpack over his shoulder with one hand, his dark eyes gleaming, and said in a calm voice, "Let's go."

...

Not long after the two left, Xu Shiran returned to her dormitory, indicating that she had just arrived at the school.

She walked to her bed, glanced at the messy desk, and then looked down at the pile of unopened packaging boxes at her feet.

She frowned, hung up the bag she was carrying, pulled out a chair, and then squatted down to start unpacking things one by one.

After finally finishing dismantling the equipment, she stood up and suddenly felt a numbness in her legs. Being in high heels, she stumbled backward and knocked over the chair behind her.

The dormitory was already a tiny place, and her bed was facing Shi Miao's. By sheer coincidence, the chair knocked over her trash can.

Xu Shiran's eyelids twitched. She felt that nothing good had happened to her since the day she attended the show. She even suspected that Bai Xinxin had passed on her bad luck.

She took a deep breath, changed into slippers, and then bent down to pick up her chair.

I glanced at the overturned trash can and was about to pick it up when I saw a crumpled piece of white paper lying quietly on the ground next to it.

Driven by curiosity, I picked up the crumpled paper.

She slowly opened it, and saw a half-written melody on the crumpled paper.

Xu Shiran's eyes flickered slightly. This piece of paper had rolled out of Shi Miao's trash can, so it was obvious that she had written it. She had to admit that Shi Miao was indeed capable.

After looking at it several times, she crumpled it into a ball, bent down to put the overturned trash can back in its original position, threw the crumpled paper into it, and then turned around to start cleaning up the pile of waste paper boxes on the ground.

...

night.

After drying her hair, Shi Miao got up and tossed her phone onto the bed.

Then he took out the piece he had rewritten in the public class from his bag; now it was just a matter of finishing touches.

Jiang Ning had just finished showering when she saw the girl making a move to climb the ladder. She smiled and said, "Sister Miao, you're up there so early today."

"Hmm." Shi Miao lifted one leg onto the ladder, then suddenly remembered that she hadn't taken the pen yet. She clicked her tongue, let go of the ladder with her left hand, took out a pen from her backpack, and then climbed onto the bed.

She had just sat cross-legged on the bed when her phone rang.

She picked up her phone, opened WeChat, and saw a message from Ji Yanchen—just two short words.

[Downstairs.]

Shi Miao raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised, reached out and pulled back the bed curtains, then climbed off the bed.

"Sister Miao, what do you need? I'll hand it to you." Jiang Ning was drying her hair when she heard the noise and looked up at the girl who had just gone up and come down.

"It's nothing, I'm just going out for a bit." Shi Miao got out of bed in a few steps, picked up the coat hanging on the wall, and put it on.

"Ah, okay." Jiang Ning was used to this; she knew without guessing that her boyfriend had arrived.

Shi Miao zipped up her coat, closed the dormitory door behind her, and walked downstairs at a leisurely pace.

As soon as I stepped out of the girls' dormitory building, I saw a tall figure standing under a tree diagonally opposite.

With her hands in her pockets, she walked over, her delicate eyebrows slightly raised, her cool, slightly husky voice seemingly carrying a burning, alluring heat, and she curled her lips into a smile, "Teacher Ji, what brings you here?"

A faint smile appeared in the man's eyes. He gently ruffled her hair with his large hand and said in a deep, magnetic voice, "I came to bring you some late-night snacks."

Shi Miao then noticed that the man was carrying two beautifully packaged bags in his other hand, and casually asked, "Do you have any soda?"

"Huh?" Ji Yanchen was slightly taken aback, then realized what she was talking about. A hint of helplessness flashed in his deep eyes. He looked at her with a doting expression and said with a smile, "No, you should drink less."

Shi Miao raised an eyebrow, her clear black and white eyes were quite pure and beautiful, and she said with a hint of regret in her voice, "Ah, okay then."

Ji Yanchen handed her the bag, a low laugh escaping his throat, the last syllable seemingly hooked, "Go on up, it's chilly at night."

Shi Miao reached out and took the bag. After a few seconds, seeing that the man was just looking at her, his dark eyelashes slightly lowered, she asked, "Um, shall I go?"

Ji Yanchen gazed at her, his deep eyes filled with her reflection. "Yes, go."

Shi Miao didn't move, staring at the man's captivating face before her. Suddenly, she tilted her head back and kissed his thin lips, then quickly pulled away.

She coughed lightly, looked away, and said softly, "I'm leaving."

As soon as she turned around, the man grabbed her arm and pulled her into his arms.

Ji Yanchen's eyes darkened, his voice hoarse and deep, carrying a seductive undertone: "Miao Shen, are you going to flirt and then run away?"

The next second, before Shi Miao could react, he lowered his head and kissed her red lips as she was about to speak.

...

Meanwhile, on the other side...

As soon as Xu Shiran reached the dormitory building, she caught a glimpse of a couple standing under a tree not far ahead, but because they were in the shadows, her faces were not clearly visible.

She hadn't paid any attention at first, assuming they were just a couple from school. Just as she was about to look away, she suddenly realized something was wrong and looked up again in that direction.

She finally recognized him, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes, and murmured to herself, "Shi Miao?"

She then looked at the man holding the girl; even though it was just a blurry profile, she could tell he was very handsome.

Xu Shiran frowned. The man didn't look like someone from the school. Could he be the person behind Shi Miao?

But surely Tianzhi Group doesn't have any executives that young?

After thinking for a few seconds, Xu Shiran took out her phone from her bag, opened the camera, turned off the flash, and secretly took a few photos.

She swiped her phone screen, looked at the photos she had just taken, glanced up at the two people not far away, and then turned and walked into the apartment building.
