H City No.1 Middle School
"Sister Miao, breaking news! I heard from people in Class One that Gu Yanxin is going to take Tsinghua University's independent admission exam." Hu Tiantian placed a bottle of soda on Shi Miao's desk.
Upon hearing this, Shi Miao raised an eyebrow. "Hmm, that's interesting."
"Although it's an arts-related major, it's not as easy to get in as you might imagine."
"Who knows?" Shi Miao twirled her pen, looking at the composition book in her hand.
"Oh my god, Sister Miao, why are you reading a composition book? I must be looking at it wrong," Hu Tiantian exclaimed.
“Ah, your essay is terrible, you need to work on it.” Shi Miao looked up and said seriously.
"You could just write this essay casually, stay on topic, and get a basic score of 40 that would be enough to get you into Tsinghua University," Ji Sinian suddenly said while playing a game.
"Tsk, is there any possibility that I should take Tsinghua University's independent admissions exam?" Shi Miao said casually.
"Pfft." Ji Sinian spat out the water he had just taken a sip of.
"Aren't you disgusting?" Shi Miao asked with a look of disgust, pulling out a tissue to wipe the table.
"No, you're already a sure thing for Tsinghua University, why would you take the independent admissions exam?"
“If I get accepted, I won’t need to come to school regularly,” Shi Miao said, raising an eyebrow and resting her chin on her hand.
"Holy crap, are you going to leave me alone to face my uncle's torment?" Ji Sinian said in disbelief.
“It’s not impossible.” Shi Miao glanced at the little dog with its fur standing on end beside him.
Ji Sinian: "..."

Beijing No.1 High School
Gu Yanxin was assigned to the best class - Class A.
The homeroom teacher led her into the classroom, clapped her hands, and said, "Classmates, this is a new student who transferred from H City."
"Hello everyone, my name is Gu Yanxin, and my hobby is playing the piano..." Gu Yanchen, dressed in a white dress, introduced herself in a sweet voice.
The students below didn't react; they were all writing on their exam papers without even looking up.
Seeing this, Gu Yanxin's palms were almost bleeding from pinching, but she forced herself to finish speaking.
"Well, Gu Yanxin, why don't you sit in the empty seat near the back door?" the homeroom teacher said, trying to smooth things over.
"Yes, teacher." Gu Yanxin lowered her head, held the hem of her skirt, walked to the empty seat, and pulled out a chair to sit down.
"Hey, isn't that so-and-so?" A familiar female voice suddenly came from behind.
Gu Yanxin turned her head and saw the person entering through the back door. Her face paled instantly, and her eyes flickered. "Lu Wenyuan, what are you doing here?"
“I go to school here.” Lu Wenyuan crossed her arms and looked amused.
Gu Yanxin never expected that even after leaving H City, she still couldn't shake off these people, especially Lu Wenyuan, whom she didn't get along with. What if Lu Wenyuan revealed her secrets? Would she still be able to maintain her position at Beijing No. 1 High School...?
Gu Yanxin's heart pounded with anxiety. She bit her lip, forcing herself to calm down, and said with a smile, "What a coincidence! We'll be classmates from now on."
"Ugh, I'm not copying..."
"Lu Wenyuan!" Gu Yanxin interrupted her in surprise. After glancing around and seeing that no one seemed to be paying attention, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's boring." Lu Wenyuan glanced at her with a half-smile before returning to her seat.
Gu Yanxin slumped into her seat, unconsciously biting her fingers, trying to figure out how to shut Lu Wenyuan up.
Why did Shi Miao leave, and then Lu Wenyuan came along? She's going crazy.
Gu Yanxin spent the whole day feeling restless, afraid that Lu Wenyuan might casually reveal her secrets.

After school, Gu Yanxin returned to Lanwan Mansion looking exhausted.
"How was class today?" Gu Wan's cold voice came as soon as I entered the room.
Gu Yanxin's eyes flickered slightly, and she hesitated before speaking, "Auntie, can I skip school and just have tutoring at home?"
"If you don't want to go, then go back." Gu Wanqing frowned slightly.
"I understand, I'll pay attention in class." Gu Yanxin lowered her eyelids, a hint of malice flashing in her eyes. She didn't understand why her aunt was so strict with her, as if she were an insignificant stranger.
"Okay, don't say things like that again." Gu Wanqing slowly got up, patted her shoulder, and went upstairs. Although she was her own niece, she just couldn't bring herself to like her.
"Yes, Aunt." Gu Yanxin's hands, hanging at her sides, clenched into fists. It seemed she could no longer rely on Gu Wanqing; no matter how she tried to please her, she wouldn't appreciate it. She had to fight for everything herself. If she could replace her... Gu Yanxin blushed, and couldn't help but think of her uncle, Qin Chu.
