Chapter 201 Shi Miao: How much? I'll compensate you for it.

Saturday, at the Moon Fashion Show.

This fashion show was only open to the elite circles of the capital city. All the attendees were socialites and wealthy ladies. It was harder than climbing to heaven for outsiders to get a ticket. Even celebrities in the entertainment industry didn't get tickets, let alone ordinary people.

When Shi Miao and Ji Rou arrived, there were already quite a few people seated inside. Their seats were in the first row on the right.

Ji Rou had just sat down when her phone rang. She took it out, glanced at the caller ID, and turned to the girl wearing a baseball cap next to her, saying, "Miao Miao, I'm going out to take this call. The signal isn't very good here."

Upon hearing this, Shi Miao nodded obediently and whispered, "Okay."

After watching Ji Rou leave, she slowly withdrew her gaze, her beautiful eyes half-closed, and unhurriedly took out her phone from her pocket.

Seeing that there was only one bar of signal in the upper right corner of my phone screen, I decided to play a single-player game.

After playing for a few minutes, Ji Rou still hadn't returned. She glanced at her phone and saw that there were still about twenty minutes until the game started.

Shi Miao suddenly felt a bit stuffy, so she picked up her phone, got up, and walked out of the show. As soon as she stepped into the corridor outside, her phone signal instantly became full.

She first sent a message to Ji Rou, then walked towards the restroom.

After leaving the restroom, I passed a vending machine on my way back and decided to buy a can of Coke.

Shi Miao opened the can with one hand, leaned against the wall, and took a sip.

Because her right hand was still in a cast and she couldn't hold anything, she tucked the Coke can between her left arm and chest, held her phone in her left hand, and walked while looking down at other people's messages on WeChat.

As I turned the corner, I accidentally bumped into a woman who was walking by in a hurry.

The woman's black dress was instantly stained with a light spill of cola.

"What's wrong with you? Don't you have eyes?" Bai Xinxin looked down at the small wet patch on her chest, her face darkening, her tone urgent and sharp.

Shi Miao frowned imperceptibly, looked up at her, his dark eyes clear and bright, and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "I'm sorry."

Bai Xinxin then saw the face under the baseball cap clearly, and was momentarily stunned, almost not reacting.

She looked at the girl's face, which was so beautiful that even in the entertainment industry she would be considered overly beautiful, and a hint of jealousy flashed in her eyes. Then she glanced at the girl's clothes and secretly breathed a sigh of relief, guessing that she was probably some kind of odd-job worker.

Now his arrogance had only grown. He crossed his arms, raised his chin slightly, and said impatiently, "Do you know how expensive this dress is? The fashion show is about to start, and now you've ruined it like this. What are you going to do about it?"

Bai Xinxin wasn't exactly part of the elite socialite circle in Beijing; she was just a female celebrity in the entertainment industry. But she was lucky; not long after her debut, she managed to get a sugar daddy through her company's connections.

She was only able to attend the Moon Fashion Show because she worked hard to please the wealthy backer behind her, which is how she got a ticket.

Shi Miao frowned, his dark eyes cold and irritable, but he still patiently said, "How much? I'll compensate you for one."

Bai Xinxin scoffed, a mocking smile curving her lips, quite disdainful, "You? You think it's a piece of clothing that costs a few hundred yuan?"

Shi Miao raised an eyebrow, looking rather lazy, yet his sharp gaze swept over her. "How much?"

Bai Xinxin brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, a hint of arrogance flashing in her eyes. As if certain that Ding Miao couldn't afford to pay, she casually said, "Two hundred thousand."

Shi Miao nodded, her delicate and striking face expressionless, her tone quite calm, "I'll transfer the money to you now, bank account."

Bai Xinxin was stunned for a moment upon hearing this. When she came to her senses, her expression showed a hint of surprise, and she blurted out subconsciously, "What did you say?"

Shi Miao's brows furrowed with annoyance, as if she couldn't understand human speech. She had no desire to argue with her any longer and said in a slightly cold voice, "Tell me your bank account number."

Just as she finished speaking, her phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Ji Rou calling. She must have noticed that she hadn't returned yet and was calling to check on her.

Shi Miao glanced at the Coke can still tucked in her arms. It was really inconvenient to answer the phone in this position. She caught a glimpse of the trash can in the corner of the wall and started to walk towards it.

Seeing this, Bai Xinxin thought she was going to run away and reached out to grab her, "Where are you going? You're not leaving until this is resolved today!"

Shi Miao avoided her hand, "Throw away the trash."

Bai Xinxin blocked her way, persisting, "I think you're just trying to take this opportunity to run away!"

Shi Miao's brow twitched, a cold glint flashed in her eyes, and a low-pressure aura enveloped her. "I asked for your bank account number twice. Can you stop dawdling? I have other things to do."

When Bai Xinxin met her dark eyes, her heart pounded in her throat. For some reason, she felt a little scared. She swallowed hard and gave her bank account number.

The call from Ji Rou had already ended, but Shi Miao ignored it. She unlocked her phone, her fair fingers quickly tapping the screen, and transferred 200,000 yuan to Bai Xinxin.

She turned the phone screen towards her, her delicate brows furrowed with annoyance. "Is it ready?"

Bai Xinxin glanced at the transfer record, her expression quite surprised. She hadn't expected that she could actually take out 200,000 yuan without batting an eye.

But he didn't take Shi Miao seriously either, and curled his lip in disdain, "Hmph, fine."

Shi Miao was too lazy to waste any more words with this idiot. She walked past her to the trash can in the corner, threw the Coke can in, and then left with her back straight.

Bai Xinxin turned around and glanced in the direction she left, frowned, and decided not to go to the restroom this time, instead following behind her.

Seeing the girl not far away walk directly into the show, she was shocked, but then she thought that she was probably a staff member inside.

After all, who would show up in a hoodie and jeans for an occasion like this?

......

Ji Rou looked at the girl who had just returned, her brows furrowed with undisguised worry. She took the girl's hand and asked with concern, "Miao Miao, why were you gone for so long? I called you but you didn't answer. I was just about to go out and look for you."

Shi Miao gently patted her hand. Her clear, bright eyes were quite pure and strikingly beautiful. She said softly, "It's nothing. I was just walking around outside. My phone was on silent, so I didn't hear it."

The reason she didn't tell Ji Rou the truth was that she felt it wasn't necessary to talk about such a trivial matter that had just happened outside, and besides, it had already been resolved.

Ji Rou nodded and said with a smile, "I thought something had happened to you."

Shi Miao suppressed the warmth in her eyes and responded softly, "Mm."

Meanwhile, on the other side, Bai Xinxin walked into the show and subconsciously looked for Shi Miao's figure. The next second, she saw her in the first row.

A flicker of disbelief crossed her face; she was utterly dumbfounded, momentarily doubting her own eyes, and muttered to herself, "How could this be?"

Bai Xinxin gripped her bag tightly and slowly walked towards her seat, her gaze fixed on Shi Miao in the first row.
