Chapter 90 Where are my things?

Blue Bay Mansion, Beijing

Qin Chu had just returned from the Qin family's old residence.

"Sir, you're back." The maid stepped forward and took the coat from his hand.

Qin Chu loosened his tie, walked to the living room sofa, sat down, and asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "Where is Madam?"

The maid bowed her head respectfully and said, "Madam has not returned yet."

Upon hearing this, Qin Chu's eyes flashed with surprise. He loosened his tie, unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, and waved his hand, "I know, you can leave now."

"yes."

He rubbed his temples, feeling a bit of a headache. Old Master Qin had suddenly called him back today, even though it was just for a meal, but he felt something was off.

Just then, his phone, which was on the table, rang, interrupting his thoughts.

Qin Chu frowned slightly, reached for the phone, and pressed the answer button.

"Madam is still in H City and doesn't seem to have any intention of coming back."

Qin Chu's expression was solemn as he said in a deep voice, "Understood. Keep an eye on it."

After hanging up the phone, Qin Chu immediately called Gu Wanqing.

"Hello, what's wrong?" Gu Wanqing's voice came from the other end of the phone.

"I miss you. When are you coming back?" Qin Chu leaned back slightly against the sofa, one hand casually resting on her arm.

"I went to see my dad and will be staying in H City for the time being."

Qin Chu looked up at the crystal chandelier above her head, her gaze deepening, and said gently, "I'll go to H City to see you tomorrow. We've been married for so long and I've never met your family. I still remember when you took me back home, your father refused to see me."

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the phone. "My relationship with my dad has only recently improved. He still has some reservations about you. Let's wait a bit longer."

"It's nothing. I'll just go see you. After all, this is the first time you've been away from me for so long." Qin Chu chuckled softly, her eyes lowered, concealing the darkness within them.

"Okay, see you tomorrow."

After school, Shi Miao and Ji Sinian went to Gu Yanxin's residence.

The two stood at the door, and Ji Sinian stepped forward and pressed the doorbell.

"Coming!" Gu Yanxin opened the door and poked half her body out.

When she saw the faces of the two people at the door, her pupils suddenly contracted, her eyes filled with fear, and she frantically tried to close the door.

Ji Sinian reached out and grabbed the door, looking at her with a half-smile, "What are you afraid of?"

Gu Yanxin's temples throbbed slightly, and she opened her eyes wide in terror. "What are you going to do? How did you find this place!"

Shi Miao clicked her tongue, glanced at her with her eyes slightly, and lazily asked, "Where are my things?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." Gu Yanxin lowered her eyes, her slightly trembling hand gripping the doorknob tightly, her knuckles turning white.

"You really won't shed a tear until you see the coffin." A hint of impatience flashed in Ji Sinian's eyes as he shoved her aside and swaggered inside.

Shi Miao followed him inside and closed the door behind her.

"Ah! What are you doing?" Gu Yanxin was caught off guard and stumbled to the ground after being bumped by him.

Hearing the commotion at the door, Yun Rujin came out of the kitchen and exclaimed in surprise when she saw Gu Yanxin lying on the ground, "Xinxin!"

"Shi Miao, what are you doing, bringing people to my house like this?" She squatted down to help Gu Yanxin up, then turned to look at Shi Miao, her eyes blazing with anger.

Ji Sinian: "You should ask your good daughter what she has done."

Upon hearing this, Yun Rujin's heart skipped a beat. Her brows furrowed, and she looked at Gu Yanxin beside her with suspicion. "What did you do?"

Gu Yanxin bit her lip tightly, her eyes misting over, her tone urgent and sharp: "Mom, I didn't do anything! Shi Miao inexplicably brought people to our door saying I took her things, but I didn't take anything at all!"

Yun Rujin's face tightened. She pointed to the door and said in a deep voice, "Did you hear what she said? If you don't get out, I'll call the police. You're trespassing!"

"She said it's gone, and that's it?" Shi Miao raised her chin slightly, showing little emotion, yet giving off an invisible sense of pressure.

"Tsk, let's search her room and we'll find out." Ji Sinian crossed his arms, his expression suddenly turning cold.

"Why should I let you search me!" Gu Yanxin's eyes darted around violently, her watery eyes filled with disbelief.

Shi Miao was too lazy to waste words with them and walked towards the bedroom.

Yun Rujin's face turned ashen, and she shrieked, "You dare!"

Ji Sinian stepped forward and blocked their way, a smirk playing on his lips. "I advise you to stay here."

"Mom, let's call the police!" Gu Yanxin was extremely panicked, gripping Yun Rujin's arm tightly, looking like she was about to collapse.

"You guys are crazy!" Yun Rujin quickly took out her phone and called 110.
