After leaving the coffee shop, Gu Yanxin went straight back to Yun Rujin's place.
She stood at the door, banging on it and shouting, "Mom! Open the door and let me in! I know I was wrong!"
Seeing no response from inside, she continued, "All my things are inside. I'm penniless and starving. Mom! Can you hear me?"
Footsteps came from inside the house. Yun Rujin opened the door, glanced at her, and said indifferently, "Come in, and leave once you're done packing."
Gu Yanxin's eyes flickered slightly. She bit her lip and slowly walked in, her voice soft: "Mom, I've thought about it all night. I really know I was wrong. Please forgive me."
Yun Rujin snorted coldly, glanced at her sideways, and said coldly, "You have no credibility with me anymore."
Gu Yanxin lowered her eyes, concealing the darkness within them, and said softly, "Then may I stay here for one last night?"
After a few seconds of silence, Yun Rujin turned around and said, "I'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."
"Okay, I'll go back to my room and pack my things."

Back in her room, Gu Yanxin picked up her phone from the table to call Gu Wanqing, but after a moment's thought, she put it down.
Qin Chu had said that only Gu Wanqing could come.
If we call now, Gu Wanqing might tell Shi Miao, and given Shi Miao's vigilance, she'll definitely follow her.

Gu Wanqing was packing Shi Miao's schoolbag when she turned to look at the girl sitting and drinking milk. "Miao Miao, you have an exam today. Mom got up early to make you a bento box. Remember to eat it after you finish the exam."
After finishing the last sip, Shi Miao took a tissue to wipe her mouth and lazily said, "Okay, Mom."
"Oh, right. I also made you some juice, I'll go and put it in your bag."

"How about it?"
"Gu Wanqing has agreed to meet with me."
"Hmm, well done."
Gu Yanxin's eyes flickered, and she cautiously asked, "Then can you let me go...?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the phone went dead with a "beep beep beep" sound, clearly indicating that Qin Chu had hung up.
