Chapter 11: Detoxification

Although the Queen wished Rong Chengxuan would die quickly, she still knew what to do.

Therefore, she looked at Yun Wanwan with an icy tone, "Yun Wanwan, are you crazy? Murdering the current prince will result in the punishment of all nine generations of your clan."

Yun Wanwan pinched her brows with a headache. "Empress, Your Highness has been poisoned by a mother-child Gu. If the intruder wants Your Highness dead, then Your Highness must die. If this Gu is not quickly removed, Your Highness's life will be in danger."

What Yun Wanwan didn't expect was that the Queen didn't look nervous at all after hearing her words. Instead, she raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is it really that serious? How did you know?"

When Concubine Yun saw that the Empress had actually started to ask, she was naturally furious and said directly, "Your Majesty, you don't know that she is not the eldest daughter of the General's Mansion at all. Originally, this matter should not have been hidden from Your Majesty. In fact, she has always been a wild girl from the countryside, and was only recognized by the General's Mansion a few days ago!"

This was indeed the truth. Yun Wanwan had no way of refuting it, so she could only say, "But Your Highness has been poisoned by the Gu. If I don't remove it quickly, Your Highness's life will be in danger."

"You are just a country girl. How would you know anything about medieval times? That must be nonsense. Why don't you leave quickly?" Concubine Yun snorted coldly, not giving Yun Wanwan a chance to explain.

Yun Wanwan remained silent, and Concubine Yun became even more aggressive. "Your Majesty, she's already starting to feel guilty. In my opinion, you should kick her out, so she won't cause any harm to Prince An..."

With a "bang", the dagger suddenly stabbed on the table, making a buzzing sound.

Concubine Yun was so scared that she shut her mouth.

The world finally quieted down a bit. Yun Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief. "Noble Concubine Yun, you keep saying I don't understand what it means to be poisoned by a Gu. Do you understand it yourself?"

Concubine Yun naturally didn't understand, she didn't even know what Gu was.

He just said these words because he couldn't stand Yun Wanwan.

"No matter whether I know about Gu or not, it is a fact that you wanted to assassinate Prince An while he was unconscious. Don't try to make excuses anymore." Concubine Yun said arrogantly.

"I've already said that the prince has been poisoned."

The Queen pinched her brows in a headache. "No matter what, I believe what Concubine Yun said. Since you know nothing and are just a country girl, then don't stay here."

She said that it was because she believed in Concubine Yun, but why exactly was it, probably only she knew.

Yun Wanwan was pinned down by the guards and was about to be dragged out of the room when the person on the bed moved.

"Empress, His Royal Highness Prince An has woken up!" the palace maid exclaimed in surprise.

The queen's expression immediately turned cold. He was so lucky that he woke up so quickly after suffering such a serious injury.

Rong Chengxuan opened his eyes and saw Yun Wanwan being grabbed by the guards. He immediately frowned and said, "Let go."

Although he was seriously injured, his voice was not weak, and the guard subconsciously let go of his hand.

Yun Wanwan rubbed her wrist, which had been scratched red. "Your Highness, you're finally awake. Are you feeling any discomfort?"

Rong Chengxuan shook his head. "Except for my chest, there's nothing wrong. I feel uncomfortable in other places."

Yun Wanwan helped Rong Chengxuan sit up a little and leaned him against a pillow.

Rong Chengxuan coughed and looked at the Queen and Concubine Yun. "I wonder what the Queen and Concubine Yun are doing here?"

The queen looked unhappy and said nothing.

Concubine Yun said, "Prince An, you don't know. I heard today that Prince An was seriously injured, so I wanted to come and see him. But the moment I entered, I saw Yun Wanwan pointing a dagger at you. If I had tried to stop him, who knows what would have happened next!"

Rong Chengxuan sneered, "I see. Then I would like to thank the Imperial Concubine for saving my life."

Concubine Yun, not knowing whether she was truly stupid or pretending to be, simply ignored the irony in his words and said with a smile, "Chengwen, you're joking. It was just a simple sentence. Why do you need to thank me?"

"However..." Concubine Yun looked at Yun Wanwan with a smug look on her face. "Although I am also a member of the Yun family, Yun Wanwan's words and actions are really too extreme. She kept threatening me when His Highness Prince An was still unconscious. His Highness Prince An should indeed punish her."

"Really?" Rong Chengxuan raised an eyebrow. "I've been thinking about it, but I don't know what punishment to give her. So how about punishing her by having Miss Yun cure me of the poison?"

Concubine Yun never expected that things would unfold like this. Rong Chengxuan had been agreeing with her before, so why did he suddenly change his attitude now?

She actually thought Rong Chengxuan could punish Yun Wanwan, but she didn't expect that Rong Chengxuan was just playing tricks on her!

"What do you mean, Your Highness Prince An? Don't you believe what I say?" Concubine Yun was shaking with anger, and the smile on her beautiful face completely disappeared.

Yun Wanwan looked puzzled. "What are you talking about, Concubine Yun? Didn't His Highness already order me to treat him? What else do you want?"

After she finished speaking, she couldn't help but smile at Rong Chengxuan and said softly, "Thank you, Your Highness."

Concubine Yun angrily said, "What kind of punishment is this? Your Highness Prince An, do you really want to trust this person? She's just a country girl who was brought back to the general's mansion a few days ago."

"I think Concubine Yun calls the blind people "fragrant girl" all the time because she looks down on them. But which of the food Concubine Yun eats and the things she uses is not made by them?" Rong Chengxuan frowned, looking a little unhappy.

Yun Wanwan was stunned. She didn't expect Rong Chengxuan to say such a thing, but now was not the time to discuss this matter.

"Your Highness, I have found a way to remove the poison, but I need your cooperation. Would you like to listen to it?" Yun Wanwan asked tentatively.

Her method was really hard to accept.

Rong Chengxuan nodded, "Just tell me what you want to do."

"Your Highness, don't worry," Yun Wanwan explained with a smile. "I noticed a thin line on each of your limbs. That's where the poisonous creature is traveling. If we cut them all at once, the poison will surely flow downstream."

This is indeed a good method, but no one knows whether it will succeed. If you crawl out after bleeding all your blood, it will be meaningless.

However, seeing the confidence on Yun Wanwan's face, Rong Chengxuan nodded and said, "Okay, I believe you."

Those four simple words were like a thousand-pound stone. Yun Wanwan calmed herself down, reheated the dagger, and then cut Rong Chengxuan's wrists and ankles.
