Did Mother say anything about it?
The Ji family has never liked trouble, so for them to send people to ask several times must mean they are really anxious.
"Madam didn't say what it was about, but it seems to be something important."
As the servant accompanied Gu Shuyan inside, he shared his guess.

Madam Ji nodded and waved to her, "You may all leave now. I have something to say to Miss."
After the maids left, Madam Ji got up and went to the bedside to touch the things, finally taking out a simple little box.
"What is this?" Gu Shuyan asked curiously as she took the box handed to her by Madam Ji. Madam Ji gestured for her to open it, and Gu Shuyan carefully opened the box.
"A phoenix hairpin?" Gu Shuyan covered her mouth in surprise when her eyes fell on the thing inside.
Upon hearing this, Lady Ji nodded, her gaze lingering on the phoenix hairpin with a hint of melancholy. "This phoenix hairpin was a gift from the late Emperor when the Empress Dowager was made Empress. It can be said to be a testament to the love between the Empress Dowager and the late Emperor."
"Then why is this in our house?"

After whispering a few words in Pearl's ear and seeing Pearl nod in agreement, Gu Shuyan then said to Mingyu, "Go and find Xu Feng. There are some things I need him to do for me."
