Chapter 533 Visiting the Sick
"Fourth Imperial Brother?"
As Luo Yuying spoke, she and Lu Yuanbin got out of the car together.
"Fourth Brother, what happened?" Lu Yuanbin stepped forward and greeted Lu Changqing.
Lu Changqing couldn't help but look a little embarrassed when he saw the two of them. "Fifth brother, you don't know this, but this morning I heard about what happened to third brother. I wanted to visit him, but these guards at the gate don't recognize me and won't let me in."
As a prince, it was already embarrassing that he wasn't recognized by the gatekeepers, but was even driven out.
The guards at the gate initially thought Lu Changqing was a fraud. After all, a prince like him had nothing decent about him except for his clothes; he didn't look like a prince at all.

Lu Yuanbin was already used to Lu Changqing being unknown, and normally he would have just laughed it off. But today, Lu Youming had just gotten into trouble, and he had come to humiliate him, so how could he let go of such an opportunity to make fun of him?
Upon hearing Lu Yuanbin's challenge, the gatekeeper was so frightened that he immediately knelt down and kowtowed, saying, "We were blind to your greatness, please forgive us, Fifth Prince."
Lu Yuanbin was quite pleased with himself. He glanced at Lu Changqing, who remained silent to the side, and kicked one of the guards. "You fools, why don't you beg your fourth brother not to hold it against you?"
While establishing his authority, Lu Yuanbin also tried to win over Lu Changqing.
Although Lu Changqing lacks real power, he is still a prince. If he can support him, his path to becoming crown prince will naturally be smoother.
As Lu Changqing watched Lu Yuanbin eagerly trying to intimidate him, he sneered inwardly: Sure enough, without the Crown Prince's backing, Lu Yuanbin became even more arrogant.
"Please, Your Highness, spare us this time." The man who had been kicked down quickly got up and begged for mercy again in the direction of the Fourth Prince.
Seeing this, Lu Changqing quickly had the guards beside him help him up before saying, "It's also my fault for not having visited the Imperial Brother's residence before, so it's understandable that you didn't recognize me. As the guard spoke, he respectfully led everyone through the door, clearly showing more affection towards Lu Changqing than towards Lu Yuanbin.
Seeing this scene, Luo Yuying couldn't help but glance at Lu Changqing again.
On his bed, after taking the medicine prescribed by Physician Hu, Lu Youming finally felt much better.
Just as she was about to drift off to sleep, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Lu Yuanbin and Lu Changqing walked in. As a woman, Luo Yuying felt it inappropriate to go in, so she waited in the outer room.
Upon seeing the newcomer, Lu Youming immediately looked at Lu Yuanbin and even kept giving him meaningful glances, trying to get him to pay attention to Lu Changqing.
Lu Yuanbin couldn't understand at all. He only thought that Lu Youming was unwilling to accept that he had to watch him become the crown prince because of something that had happened to him.
Little did he know that the reason Lu Youming was frantically giving him meaningful glances was actually to tell him to be careful of Lu Changqing standing to the side.
For many years, Lu Youming had regarded Lu Tianhua and Lu Yuanbin as his greatest enemies, but he never imagined that the real enemy was far more powerful than he had thought.
That day, he wondered why Yun Yichen would let him go, but he didn't understand until his tongue was cut out and his tendons were severed. Yun Yichen didn't need to be afraid that he would reveal their secret.
Lu Youming stared at Lu Yuanbin for a long time, but Lu Yuanbin didn't move. So he simply shifted his gaze to Lu Changqing.
Lu Changqing remained as unremarkable as ever, and even when facing Lu Youming now, he showed no sign of contempt.
"Third Brother, are you alright?" As always, he was concerned, but Lu Youming felt a chill run down his spine from fear.
He had personally experienced how terrifying Yun Yichen was, so how could Lu Changqing, who was trained by the same person, be a simple character?
Thinking that all these years, including the emperor, had been kept in the dark by him, Lu Youming began to sweat.
"Third Brother, what's wrong? Why are you sweating so much? Oh, I know, it's because your wound hurts too much, right? Third Brother, you must remember this pain, and never do anything you can't do again."

Lu Changqing was still wondering who was behind Lu Youming's sudden attack by this guy, but Lu Yuanbin's words took all the blame upon himself.
At this moment, Lu Yuanbin was unaware that his very words had completely absolved Yun Yichen of any wrongdoing.
After the two had seen Lu Youming and found that they had nothing to say to each other, they did their due formalities and then left the Third Prince's residence together.
No one noticed that shortly after the two left, a woman who looked like a palace maid secretly left through the back door of the Third Prince's residence.
Consort Liu did not wake up until the early morning of the next day after falling into a coma.
Upon waking, Consort Liu's personality suddenly changed drastically. She was no longer as gentle and soft-spoken as usual, and she would seize anyone to question her son.

Consort Liu was usually kind to everyone, and seeing her in such a mad state, Lu Changqing couldn't bear to leave her behind, so he could only comfort her and send her back to her bedchamber.
