Chapter 106 Interstellar Child-Raising Guide (Part 6)

Today, the weather is fine and sunny, with a gentle breeze.

The weather was neither too hot nor too cold, making it the perfect day for a family outing.

Just as she took a step, Ji Xiaoxiao's hand was firmly grasped. Ji Xiaoxiao turned around indifferently and saw Ou Nanbaili with a look of fear and unease on his face, as if he had endless things to say to Ji Xiaoxiao.

Ji Xiaoxiao tried to tug at the large claw gripping her wrist, but it remained unmoved. She tried a few more times, but to no avail, and Ji Xiaoxiao frowned.

"Ou Nanbaili, let go of my hand," Ji Xiaoxiao said coldly.

"You have to tell me first what you want to do by calling us to the Civil Affairs Bureau. Otherwise, I will never let go." The extent of O'Nam Baili's threat varies from person to person.

The Civil Affairs Bureau is bustling with people, some happy, some sad, each with their own unique circumstances.

Ji Xiaoxiao remained expressionless and sneered, "Ou Nanbaili, you don't need to play dumb. What else could I have called you to the Civil Affairs Bureau for? Of course, it's to sever our adoptive mother-son relationship. I'm a very busy person. Would I invite you out if it weren't for something important? Do you really think I want to see the three of you with your ugly faces?"

Each word, each utterance, was like a sword or spear, leaving Ou Nan Baili covered in wounds. Like a candle flickering in the wind, Ou Nan Baili swayed, his breath coming in heavy gasps.

"You're lying to me, Zheng Youyou, you must be lying to me." Ou Nanbaili was shocked. His usual wicked and arrogant demeanor was just an act. "I am your son. This relationship is not something you can sever just because you want to. Besides... I won't agree to it."

After finishing his sentence, Ou Nan Baili turned and left. Ou Xi Baili, who was standing to the side, looked at Ji Xiaoxiao, then at his silent elder brother Ou Dong Baili, and then ran away after Ou Nan Baili.

"What are you thinking?" Ji Xiaoxiao didn't stop Ou Nanbaili and Ou Xibaili's actions, but instead asked Ou Dongbaili, who stood proudly and unmoved.

Ou Dongbai moved his lips and said, "Mother, we are family."

"A family...?" Ji Xiaoxiao's voice was thick with a nasal tone.

"I have firmly believed in this idea for the past twenty years, and it has never changed." Ou Dongbai turned his head slightly away, not daring to look directly into Ji Xiaoxiao's clear eyes.

Ji Xiaoxiao didn't question Ou Dongbaili about whether he was lying to her. She waited aimlessly for a while, when an impatient female voice entered Ji Xiaoxiao's ears, breaking the silence between the two.

"If I hadn't secretly come to check on you after learning that Zheng Youyou was going to cut ties with you, you would have run away today. Sigh, you're still young and don't understand. It's easy to draw a tiger's skin but hard to draw its bones, easy to know a person's face but hard to know their heart. That woman Zheng Youyou is a bloodsucking demon. Cutting ties with her is the best thing for you. Listen to your mother, I won't hurt you." Elena's face was flushed, her left arm linked with Osibari's, and her right arm around Ounan's, as she excitedly chattered on and on.

Elena kept saying "It's for your own good" and "Zheng Youyou is shameless," which made Ouxi Baili and Ounan Baili even more indignant.

Although they were far apart, the sound still resounded through the sky. Ji Xiaoxiao exhaled heavily through her nose, the curve of her lips seeming to mock Ou Dongbaili's self-deception.

Ji Xiaoxiao's expression was clearly visible to Ou Dongbaili. Despite his best efforts, including pleading and cajoling, to no avail, Ou Dongbaili felt utterly exhausted. How could such a beautiful family be destroyed so easily?

“Mother, you have no worries about food and clothing, and you have us by your side, but what about Mom? She was bullied and sold, suffered for many years, and is all alone. Why can’t you give in to Mom? If you had agreed to my suggestion before, none of this would have happened. I genuinely care about this family, but why won’t you agree? These are things you can’t take with you when you die, can’t you let your own family play with them?” Ou Dongbaili believed he was in the right.

Indeed, although Ou Dongbaili was tall and imposing, he would always be a child in front of Ji Xiaoxiao. And children always resent their mothers. Regardless of whether the mother is right or wrong, if she doesn't do what he wants, then she deserves to be torn to pieces and executed by slow slicing.

Ji Xiaoxiao was speechless, she really didn't know what to say.

“Ou Dongbaili, it’s a big no-no to hide your illness and avoid seeking medical treatment. I suggest you see a neurologist to prevent the situation from getting worse,” Ji Xiaoxiao kindly advised.

Ou Dongbai took a step back, crossed his hands behind his back, and seemed to be doing something.

“Sigh.” Ou Dongbai sighed. “We’re severing ties. A woman like you, who is only interested in profit and sees money as her life, is not fit to be the mother of our Ou family.”

Ji Xiaoxiao stopped talking. Two minutes later, Elena, along with Osipari and Onanbali, left and then returned. Ji Xiaoxiao didn't even glance at Elena, walking straight into the Civil Affairs Bureau, which made Elena scream in anger.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The usual sweet and indifferent synthesized voices echoed throughout the hall.

"I want to sever my relationship with my adoptive mother," Ji Xiaoxiao replied.

"Please go to the left passage; someone will guide you there."

The group, having received help, continued along the passageway they had traversed. As they walked, a capable-looking woman emerged to lead the way. Ten minutes later, they arrived at a place that resembled a courtroom.

"Bring up the documents and evidence," an old man said.

Ji Xiaoxiao dutifully handed over everything the old man wanted. The old man took it, looked at it, and then passed it on to the people around him. Half an hour later, the old man asked Ji Xiaoxiao and the three Ou brothers some questions, and Wei Chanchan stamped the severance certificate.

"Alright, from today onwards you are no longer mother and son," the old man said solemnly.
