Chapter 118 The Troublesome Little Demon Seven

Shui Wuhen pinched the bleeding Ji Xiaoxiao, a smile on his handsome face, a smile that was as beautiful as a hundred flowers blooming, as warm as the bright sunshine, and as terrifying as a hundred ghosts walking at night.

"Little Bai, do you want to know why I was able to take you away from right under the nose of the Heavenly Dao?" Shui Wuhen looked up at the sky. "The Great Dao is fifty, the Heavenly Dao is forty-nine, and man escapes one. All things in the world are unpredictable. This 'one' is both a glimmer of hope and the only loophole in the Heavenly Dao."

Such treasonous words incited the wrath of heaven and earth. At that moment, the wind rose, clouds surged, and lightning flashed and thunder roared.

Shui Wuhen laughed wildly, looking up at the sky, "Having grasped this loophole, what can Heaven do to me?"

A rumble of thunder echoed. Provoked by Shui Wuhen, the sky gradually darkened once more.

The wrath of a commoner can leave two corpses and splatter blood five steps away. The wrath of an emperor can leave a million corpses and rivers of blood. When Heaven is angered, this world may have to be rebuilt.

Those who cultivate immortality are surely aware of this principle, yet Shui Wuhen can so brazenly defy the Heavenly Dao. Either he holds a trump card, or he's simply tired of living.

"Little White, you are just a tiny rabbit without spiritual roots or intelligence. You are nothing more than an insignificant ant among all things. Heaven protects you. Have you ever thought about the deeper meaning behind it?"

These words were like a wake-up call, and Ji Xiaoxiao trembled. The original owner of this body was just an ordinary rabbit, so why did Heaven favor her? Was it simply because the original owner was fair-skinned, round, and cute?

No, absolutely not. Heaven is merciless; everything he does must have a reason.

"All things in this world follow the same principle—cause and effect, retribution. Heaven knew of my talent and wanted to kill me. I would not let myself be slaughtered and escaped each time. After failing three times, Heaven finally found you." Shui Wuhen said gently.

"Talent?" Ji Xiaoxiao secretly memorized these two words.

As Shui Wuhen reminisced about the past, he unintentionally revealed his information. Ji Xiaoxiao's mind raced, and she tightly grabbed Shui Wuhen's little tail with one hand.

"Little Bai, you don't know, do you? We have a three-lifetime bond. In three lifetimes, I severed all ties of love and vows to attain immortality. In every life, you died by my sword. My killing you was the cause. My repayment to you is the effect. With you making the move, I was doomed. Ha, old ginger is spicier! Heaven's move was truly brilliant." Shui Wuhen said with admiration.

Praise? Praise my foot! Shouldn't you two be wanting to strangle each other? Shui Wuhen, what's with that "friends despite age difference" expression on your face? Is this what they call "no fight, no friendship"? Is this the legendary "fighting is a sign of affection, scolding is a sign of love"?

The more you look at someone you dislike, the more you dislike them. As for Shui Wuhen's stroke of genius, Ji Xiaoxiao made no comment, only simply uttering a curse, "What the hell, are you kidding me!"

After silently grumbling for a while, Ji Xiaoxiao hurriedly reached out, desperately trying to pry Shui Wuhen's hand off her neck. However, an egg can't break a rock, and an arm can't twist a thigh. Ji Xiaoxiao was full of ambition every time, but every time she returned defeated.

They gained nothing but ended up like a candle flickering in the wind!

Alas, like a mayfly trying to shake a giant tree, how laughable and presumptuous!

Shui Wuhen suppressed Ji Xiaoxiao and then chattered on about the original owner of the body and his past. Ji Xiaoxiao wasn't interested; her thoughts wandered far, far away.

An hour later, Shui Wuhen was still holding Ji Xiaoxiao by the neck, lifting her high into the air. The unnatural position and blocked blood vessels and trachea made it increasingly difficult for Ji Xiaoxiao to breathe. Her bloodless face gradually turned pale and then purple, and her strength was draining away at a rate comparable to a rocket ascending into the sky.

Am I going to die?

Ji Xiaoxiao was very indignant. If she had been given more time instead of having to work hard to cultivate after starting out, she would not have had to struggle to survive under Shui Wuhen.

Gradually, the scenery before her eyes blurred, overlapping with each other, and her mind went blank. At this moment, Ji Xiaoxiao could no longer breathe, and only a few breaths remained.

Shui Wuhen watched quietly as Ji Xiaoxiao slowly lost her life, her heart calm and undisturbed, devoid of sorrow, bitterness, pain, or joy.

"Your Excellency, hurry! We need to be faster, or Little White will be killed."

Xiaoqing's voice was like the breaking of dawn, a warm light that dispelled the darkness and cold, shining directly on Ji Xiaoxiao's chilly body.

Even with her ears ringing, Ji Xiaoxiao could still hear Xiaoqing's urgent voice, and Shui Wuhen, with his keen senses, was equally aware of it.

"Xiaoqing, I'm here," Ji Xiaoxiao called out hoarsely.

Just then, he grabbed Ji Xiaoxiao's hand and twisted it violently to one side.

Shui Wuhen looked up at the sky, his eyes dark and cold, colder than ice.

"I love you, Xiaobai. So, you must die."

As soon as he finished speaking, Shui Wuhen turned his hand to the left, and a "crack" sound rang out. By the time Xiao Qing and the monsters from the Forest of Demons rushed over, Ji Xiaoxiao's neck was already broken, and Shui Wuhen had vanished without a trace.

Ji Xiaoxiao, now a little floating creature, watched as Xiaoqing lay prostrate on the original owner's body, wailing and crying. Suddenly, she felt like crying too.

"The mission failed just like that?"

Thinking about the adults who might be unfriendly or distant when relatives come to visit recently, Ji Xiaoxiao shuddered.

Before Ji Xiaoxiao could even make any final arrangements, the world spun around her, and she woke up groggily in a small, bright red room.

When Ji Xiaoxiao opened her eyes, what she saw was a large red "double happiness" character pasted on the window frames all around. Directly in front of her was a table with two thick red candles on it. The dim candlelight flickered, causing countless dark shadows to slowly turn around.

Looking at herself, Ji Xiaoxiao was wearing a bright red wedding dress, with exquisite and heavy hair ornaments on her head.

Even if she'd never eaten pork, she'd seen pigs run. Ji Xiaoxiao guessed that she must have time-traveled again, and just happened to have transmigrated into the body of a bride.
