"Your mother will not force you. Whether you agree or not, your mother will avenge you."
Ji Xiaoxiao got up and walked towards Taoyuan Town without looking back. Hu Zi didn't say much, silently following beside Ji Xiaoxiao, as if he wanted to support the person who gave him life and raised him.
As dawn broke, two distinct shadows appeared on the ground.
"Smash." Ji Xiaoxiao smashed the large rock in her hand onto the plaque in front of Uncle Chen's mansion.
The plaque cracked instantly, and with a gentle gust of cold wind, it fell to the ground with a thud.
Ji Xiaoxiao made a huge commotion, attracting poor people who were bored at home in the dead of winter and wanted to find something to do to come and watch.
"Who is this guy? How dare he smash the plaque of the Chen residence? Does he have a death wish?"
"Those two are both relatives of Master Chen."
"They are relatives, so why did they smash the plaque at the Chen residence?"
"Oh, you wouldn't believe it, a few days ago..."
A commotion ensued, and those who were unaware of what was happening were then guided by the enthusiastic crowd.
Tiger was still young and couldn't stand the pointing and whispering of the onlookers. A blush gradually crept onto his slightly dark face. Ji Xiaoxiao, who had lived for an unknown amount of time, didn't take this little commotion seriously at all and continued doing what she needed to do.
After waiting for a while, the gates of the Chen residence opened.
"Niece, what strong wind blew you here?" The voice was heard before the person was seen.
Ji Xiaoxiao looked in the direction of the voice and saw a well-to-do old man coming towards her. The old man was none other than the original owner's second uncle, now known as Old Master Chen. Old Master Chen was nearly seventy years old, but the words "senile" did not apply to him at all.
“Niece, come in and sit down. Why are you standing here outside getting cold?”
Master Chen reached out to pull Ji Xiaoxiao into the house, but Ji Xiaoxiao dodged to the side.
"Don't give me that nonsense. You know why I'm here today. I'll give you the time it takes for an incense stick to burn to hand over Chen Tiangui, or I'll go in and search you. If anything is missing or added, please don't blame me, sir." Ji Xiaoxiao glared coldly at Master Chen.
Master Chen opened his mouth, but under the pressure and intimidation of Ji Xiaoxiao, the words stuck in his throat. No matter how he shouted or yelled, he couldn't utter them.
