Chapter 169 Transmigration with a Golden Finger

The host created suspense on stage, constantly asking the audience for answers.

Before the audience could give a clear answer, the host raised his voice and answered himself, "The last nominee for Best Supporting Actress at the 88th Global Film Festival is... Liu Tinghui from 'Chasing the Sky'."

Ji Xiaoxiao felt a tiny bit of guilt towards Liu Tinghui, but it was only a fleeting feeling, far from being truly ashamed or losing her composure. Now, with Liu Tinghui nominated for Best Supporting Actress at a global film festival, Ji Xiaoxiao was overjoyed.

"Alright, now I'm holding the winner of the Best Supporting Actress award at the 88th Global Film Festival." The host suddenly stopped speaking, his face filled with sorrow. "I really liked every single one of the previous nominees, but there can only be one Best Supporting Actress award, and I really can't bear it."

To determine whether something is true or false, one must look at its outward appearance and inner character, and whether it is a case of saying one thing and meaning another.

The host paused for a moment, then said, "The winner of the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 88th Global Film Festival is...." Her voice rose, full of energy, "Liu Tinghui."

The name "Liu Tinghui" resounded throughout the sky. Whether it was genuine joy or feigned laughter, the applause and cheers were deafening.

Watching Liu Tinghui go on stage to receive the award, Ji Xiaoxiao felt no jealousy or envy. Her eyes were glazed over, and she was absent-minded, her mind completely focused on the future.

They say that man proposes, God disposes; our ancestors were right.

If Ji Xiaoxiao wins the Best Supporting Actress award at this global film festival, her popularity will absolutely skyrocket. Spring brings life, summer brings growth, autumn brings harvest, and winter brings rest. With increased popularity and fame, many fans who abandoned the original owner will more or less come back. And when they shamelessly return, won't they be at Ji Xiaoxiao's mercy, subjected to her denunciation and criticism?

"In the end, we were just one step behind," Ji Xiaoxiao guessed.

A faint, cold smile played on her lips as Ji Xiaoxiao openly glanced at the man holding Liu Tinghui. The man's senses were exceptionally sharp; as soon as Ji Xiaoxiao's gaze fell upon him, their eyes instantly locked.

“I’ve got it,” Ji Xiaoxiao said silently.

The man saw everything clearly but didn't take it to heart. He cupped Liu Tinghui's pretty face and gave her a loud kiss.

Ji Xiaoxiao glanced at him coldly, as if the memory was etched into her heart, then turned away and never made eye contact with the man again.

Three hours later, the 88th World Film Festival came to a perfect close.

Tonight, the sky is cloudless, the stars twinkle, and the enormous moon, like a jade disc, casts a silvery glow. The roads are bustling with traffic, illuminated by artificial lights that create a dazzling, multicolored spectacle. The excited crowds are buzzing with excitement, discussing the recently concluded film festival.

The wind is biting, the frost is biting, and the cold wind blows in all directions. Some people win awards and are surrounded by admirers, feeling warm all over. Others miss out on awards and return home dejected, their bodies freezing and their hearts feeling as desolate as a frozen wasteland.

This night was destined to be a sleepless one.

Ji Xiaoxiao walked out of the venue, opened her car door, and saw the man hugging and biting Liu Tinghui.

"Hey, this is my car. If you want to get intimate, please move it." Ji Xiaoxiao straightened her back, crossed her arms in front of her chest, and watched the shameless man and woman with amusement.

Their lips met, the sounds of kissing filling the air, lost in the moment, their passion running deep. Only when Liu Tinghui was breathless from the kiss did the man reluctantly release her.

"Hello, Xiao Anran!" The man stroked Liu Tinghui's hair gently, as if he were soothing a wildcat with its fur standing on end.

"Hello," Ji Xiaoxiao replied politely. "May I ask if you can get off now? It's getting late, and staying up late is the enemy of a woman's beauty. I need to go back and get some beauty sleep."

The man ignored Ji Xiaoxiao's words. His long legs were curled up on the car seat, forming a beautiful arc that made anyone who saw them want to forcefully pull down his pants.

Ji Xiaoxiao really wanted to pull down the man's pants, and ideally kick him a few more times, sending him flying to the ends of the earth. However, with so many people around, and countless gossip magazine reporters, if she made too much of a commotion, Ji Xiaoxiao wouldn't be able to handle the situation.

Stay calm and don't act impulsively.

Ji Xiaoxiao took a deep breath and stared intently at the man.

"I'm not getting off the bus." Faced with Ji Xiaoxiao's outwardly strong but inwardly weak and pitiful gaze, the man softened and gave in, saying defiantly.

"We haven't seen each other for three months, Xiao Anran, don't you miss your master at all?" the man said, feeling wronged.

"No, I want you to die sooner." The longer Ji Xiaoxiao spent with the man, the more her heart pounded wildly, a surge of heat rushing to her head, almost destroying her reason.

"Little Anran doesn't want her master. Her master is lonely and has found a new pet. Little Anran, please don't be angry. Her master still loves Little Anran the most!" The man was carefree and pushed Liu Tinghui in front of Ji Xiaoxiao, beaming with joy.

"Oh, go ahead and find as many new pets as you want, that's none of my business. Sir, I'm very tired today, so please get out of my car right now, or don't blame me for getting physical with you." Ji Xiaoxiao secretly stretched her body.

The man lay half-reclined in the car, while Liu Tinghui nestled against his chest. Ji Xiaoxiao's words ignited the man's anger, and he grabbed Liu Tinghui's head, slamming it against the upper seat. Once, twice, with dull thuds, until her skin tore open. Liu Tinghui didn't dare scream, biting her lips tightly as blood instantly flowed into her eyes.

"Little Anran, look how well-behaved Master's new pet is. Master can't bear to hurt her." The man stopped his violence and gently wiped away Liu Tinghui's bloodstains with a handkerchief.
