The Leng family has been a powerful underworld family since the Republican era, controlling 80% of the country's criminal activities. At its peak, even the president of the country had to bow and scrape before the Leng family.
Nearly a century has passed, and under the strong suppression of the state apparatus, the Leng family's power has shrunk repeatedly. But as the saying goes, even a lean camel is bigger than a horse. The Leng family, though no longer as glorious as before, is still feared and avoided by everyone.
Perhaps due to their numerous misdeeds, incurring the wrath of heaven and the resentment of men, and being burdened with heinous crimes, the Leng family has always had few descendants, passing down its lineage only once. To this day, in Leng Hanxuan's generation, the Leng family only has Leng Hanxuan as its sole heir.
With few children in the family, the vast family fortune depended on just one child to carry on. Even though the adults in the Leng family loved Leng Hanxuan dearly, they still had to be ruthless. After growing up carefree until the age of five, Leng Hanxuan was abandoned by the adults in the deep mountains and forests to fend for himself.
On the brink of life and death, back and forth, the environment shapes a person, and his values begin to take shape. Leng Hanxuan unsurprisingly grew up to be a bit eccentric. So what if he's eccentric? He just likes to discipline and teach people, and killing a few people is nothing in the eyes of the Leng family elders.
No matter how incompetent Leng Hanxuan was, he was still a chosen one, and had no connection whatsoever with the commoner Xu Li'anran. However, fate played a cruel trick on them. Xu Li'anran's move to the entertainment industry for Song Weiwei was the root of all their suffering. The entertainment industry always offers an incredibly high level of media exposure, and the moment Xu Li'anran appeared on television or the internet, Leng Hanxuan took a liking to her.
Actions speak louder than words. When Leng Hanxuan approached Xu Li'anran, she initially refused to comply. However, Leng Hanxuan was powerful and influential, and his family had a business that specialized in murder. Under Leng Hanxuan's threat, Xu Li'anran reluctantly agreed to become his mistress.
Leng Hanxuan was handsome, but his heart was twisted and ugly; his hobby was whipping, disciplining, and indoctrinating women. When they first met, Xu Li'an stubbornly refused to admit her injuries and was beaten black and blue by Leng Hanxuan, nearly dying. Afterwards, Xu Li'an never forgot her wounds and always acted servilely towards Leng Hanxuan.
Two years later, Xu Lianran realized that Leng Hanxuan had become an addiction she couldn't break.
There's a seven-year itch in many marriages. After two years, Leng Hanxuan had become indifferent to Xu Li'anran and directly ordered her to become Qiao Heyun's girlfriend no matter what. Xu Li'anran obeyed without question and went to great lengths to seduce Qiao Heyun.
Five years passed in the blink of an eye. When Xu Li'an saw Song Weiwei and Qiao Heyun's tumultuous relationship, she felt joyful because she finally had a reason to return to Leng Hanxuan's side.
But things didn't go as planned. Before Xu Li'an could return to Leng Hanxuan's side, Qiao Heyun and Song Weiwei caused her career to fail miserably and her family to be destroyed. Before Song Weiwei killed her, Xu Li'an discovered that the person Song Weiwei had summoned was actually Leng Hanxuan's close confidant.
Seeing this, Xu Li'an understood perfectly well. Leng Hanxuan had used her to get close to Qiao Heyun and obtain many secret documents from the Qiao family. Now that she was a useless piece of trash, it was only natural for him to kick her aside and kill her to silence her.
Having finally received all the memories, the original owner's wishes changed accordingly.
The original owner's initial desire to live authentically and protect her parents remained unchanged; only the choice of those to be punished changed slightly—Song Weiwei and Qiao Heyun were replaced by Song Weiwei and Leng Hanxuan. As for the fans' condemnation and criticism, the original owner believed that wasting time and energy on irrelevant people was like taking off one's pants to fart—a pointless and pathetic act.
"Is that so?" Without the desire to denounce Beatles fans, Ji Xiaoxiao's plan became much simpler and smoother.
After sitting by the door for a while, the pain gradually subsided, and Ji Xiaoxiao prepared to go back.
Having seen countless storms, Leng Hanxuan had no interest in being a monkey on display. He had already summoned men to carry the dumbfounded Liu Tinghui and sped out of the city.
Upon arriving at their destination, Leng Hanxuan threw Liu Tinghui on the ground, casually tossed aside his expensive suit jacket, and irritably tugged at his tie, his resolute and handsome face filled with impatience and hatred.
"Damn it, I've made such a fool of myself today. I'll never let this go unpunished. I'm going to kill that bitch Xu Li'anran!" Leng Hanxuan thought bitterly.
Thinking of what Ji Xiaoxiao had done, Leng Hanxuan flew into a rage and smashed all the pots and pans around him to pieces. Even Liu Tinghui, who lived quietly in a secluded corner, could not escape Leng Hanxuan's vicious hand.
Ten minutes later, Leng Hanxuan calmly said, "Drag her out and feed her to the fish." The fish food was the lifeless Liu Tinghui.
Venturing his anger at Liu Tinghui, Leng Hanxuan reverted to his gentlemanly demeanor and calmly ordered, "Find someone to bring Xu Li'anran's parents here. Remember, they must be unharmed."
"Yes, young master."
In just one sentence, the lives of two innocent people are no longer determined by fate.
The messenger left, and Leng Hanxuan gazed at the chaotic scene, utterly bored. His large, star-like eyes lingered on the stiff-looking man in black, their red light flashing incessantly. For every second his gaze remained, the black man trembled, his fear growing. Outsiders might not understand Leng Hanxuan's brutality, but those who served and protected him intimately certainly did.
"Never mind." Leng Hanxuan waved his hand and said, "Go and ask Song Weiwei to bring Qiao Heyun over. I haven't played with them in a long time, and I miss them."
As if granted a pardon, the men in black all breathed a sigh of relief. "Yes, young master," they said respectfully, then dialed a number, and the car was already on its way.
The world is only so big, and there are only so many people. Ji Xiaoxiao was riding slowly along the road when she turned her head and saw a car speeding by like lightning. Through the car window, Ji Xiaoxiao saw Qiao Heyun struggling.
Although she didn't intend to retaliate against Qiao Heyun, the original owner also didn't explicitly offer him compensation. Ji Xiaoxiao simply turned a blind eye and gently turned the page.
