Chapter 227 If you don't tell her, she won't ask.

As Ji Xiaoxiao walked towards the Ministry of Justice prison, the cold air became increasingly bone-chilling.

She breathed hot air onto her hands, rubbed them together, and pushed the door open with one hand.

With a creak, the door to the Ministry of Justice prison opened.

Ji Xiaoxiao opened her eyes and looked inside, but it was pitch black and she couldn't see anything.

Suddenly, a bone-chilling coldness came from my palm.

Ji Xiaoxiao looked down and saw that her hand, which had just touched the door, was frozen solid.

"A gloomy, chilling aura of corpses, is that it?" Ji Xiaoxiao murmured to herself.

The gloomy, chilling aura of the corpse ghost is formed from the resentment of extremely wicked people who suffered endless torment before their death and died at the same time. Its power is comparable to the Samadhi True Fire in flames.

Ji Xiaoxiao stepped over the gate, swung her hand back, and used her strength to slam the gate shut.

The gates were tightly shut, and the Ministry of Justice prison was pitch black. Ji Xiaoxiao pulled out a talisman of light, held it between her fingers, and shook it slightly; the talisman spontaneously combusted.

The dim firelight dispelled the darkness and cold. Ji Xiaoxiao peered out by the light of the fire and saw that the Ministry of Justice prison was filled with dark, shiny blood, but there was no one or a corpse in sight.

"It seems they've all turned into zombies. I'd better be cautious and take precautions."

Ji Xiaoxiao tossed the burning talisman into the air. The flames flickered briefly in the sky before growing stronger and brighter, steadily burning themselves to illuminate others.

As the firelight rose higher, Ji Xiaoxiao could see further and more clearly. Deep inside the Ministry of Justice prison, she could see several staggering black figures wandering aimlessly.

"Crunch, crunch, crunch..." It sounds like someone is gnawing on a bone.

Ji Xiaoxiao felt a chill run down her spine. Her nose was filled with the stench of blood and rotting corpses. She felt as if Mount Tai was pressing down on her, making it hard to breathe. She felt dizzy and her chest felt tight.

Wow, this is amazing! It's practically the Soul Society, even if it's just on the outskirts.

The situation did not allow Ji Xiaoxiao to slow down. She first used talismans and simple magical artifacts to temporarily seal the door to prevent a few ghosts from running out and causing trouble for the people.

Hang the Bagua mirror and peach wood sword at the top and bottom of the main gate. The Bagua mirror reaches the blue sky, and the peach wood sword descends to the earth. With the righteous energy of heaven and earth, and the clear and bright universe, along with thirty-six extremely yang and strong exorcising thunder talismans, seal off all directions and cut off the escape route of ghosts and monsters.

Everything is divided into Yin and Yang, mutually generating and restraining each other. Ghosts and monsters are yin and dark creatures, and they fear the righteous energy of heaven and earth and the evil-dispelling thunder the most. The simplified version of the formation set up by Ji Xiaoxiao—the Haotian Thick Earth Evil-Dispelling and Demon-Suppressing Formation—is both offensive and defensive, and is enough to suppress and repel weak ghosts and monsters.

Having resolved her worries, Ji Xiaoxiao took out a second peach wood sword from behind her and cautiously headed towards the Dark Abyss, with the burning talisman above her head automatically following behind.

The deeper Ji Xiaoxiao went into the Dark Abyss, the more intense the cold became. With each step, she could hear the ice cracking beneath her shoes. To maintain her body temperature and prevent it from dropping too quickly, Ji Xiaoxiao had to use her spiritual power to protect herself as she continued on her way.

Two minutes later, Ji Xiaoxiao saw the first zombie in the Ministry of Justice prison.

This zombie is the weakest purple zombie in the zombie family. Its body is stiff, its ten fingers have nails that are tinged with an eerie green light, and its two large, exposed fangs are stained with blood.

The sudden arrival of a living person in the Ministry of Justice's prison, which was full of inanimate objects, was like a harmless little white rabbit entering a wolf's den. The wandering zombie hopped and skipped towards Ji Xiaoxiao.

Instead of retreating, Ji Xiaoxiao advanced, her peach wood sword piercing straight into the heart of an oncoming zombie. Ji Xiaoxiao pulled out the sword; the zombie's taut body collapsed to the ground, uttering a few cries before turning into blood.

One leads to two, two leads to three. One zombie comes, Ji Xiaoxiao kills one; two zombies come, Ji Xiaoxiao kills two. About half an hour later, the zombies, who had been attacking one after another, were frightened and fled in a direction slightly to the south or north.

Since they were all heading to the same place, Ji Xiaoxiao didn't press the issue. After resting and replenishing her energy, she picked up her sword and headed towards the zombie lair—the Dark Abyss.

The journey was smooth and unobstructed, and Ji Xiaoxiao soon arrived at the entrance to the Dark Abyss.

A chilling wind howled, and ghosts, foxes, and wolves howled – truly a stronghold of zombies.

Ji Xiaoxiao glanced inside and saw what looked like colorful lights hanging in the passageway—eyes of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet—flickering, overlapping, and quite frightening.

"Hoo." Slowly closing her eyes, Ji Xiaoxiao exhaled a breath of stale air.

When he opened his eyes again, five beams of purple light, as fast as lightning, entered the passageway.

The crackling of electricity mingled with the howls of corpses and ghosts. A flash of light revealed that the zombies in the passageway had been easily killed by the exorcising lightning talisman. Half a minute later, Ji Xiaoxiao used a palm-wielding fire-extinguishing talisman to incinerate the corpses, leaving only ashes on the ground.

After clearing away the obstacles in the passageway, Ji Xiaoxiao proceeded cautiously.

Liao Kongmin said that the passage leading to the Dark Abyss was full of traps and mechanisms. If one made a wrong step, one would not only die at the hands of zombies, but would also capsize and lose one's life to cold, merciless iron weapons and deadly poisons.

Following the steps given by Liao Kongmin, Ji Xiaoxiao spent nearly half an hour before she emerged from the passage, drenched in sweat, and successfully entered the true Dark Abyss.

"Hehe... you've finally arrived. I've been waiting for you for so long."

"Come on, come on, once I kill you, I can get out of here."

"Get out, get out! I want to drink blood, I want to eat people, I want to get out!"

“Momo, come here quickly, Brother Feiyang misses you.”

Ji Xiaoxiao ignored the demonic tales, clasped her hands together, and four talismans of light automatically flew in the four directions: east, south, west, and north. With a boom, the talismans instantly burst into flames.

Light dispelled the darkness, and Ji Xiaoxiao saw Zhan Feiyang and Hong Fu.
