The Lu family mansion was blocked from the outside world by the evil house-protecting blood talisman of Ji Xiao Town. Over time, the accumulation of yin energy and corpse energy inside was unimaginably strong.
Ji Xiaoxiao looked up and around. The trees were withered, the flowers were faded, and there was no sound of insects or birds. It was a scene of decay and desolation, with nothing alive.
"How could this happen?" Ji Xiaoxiao's heart was filled with shock and disbelief.
That intelligent corpse was only an early stage product, with little strength and easily defeated.
Ji Xiaoxiao flicked out a talisman to purify the filth in the surrounding area. In no time, the dark, oppressive yin energy and corpse energy filled the space once more.
"They're that amazing."
A person's aura reveals their capabilities; similarly, the density of yin energy and corpse energy on a wise corpse reflects its strength.
Dark clouds loomed over the Lu residence, threatening to bring a downpour.
A scholar should be viewed with new eyes after three days' absence. The intelligent corpse in the Lu mansion is no longer the same as before. It was a young boy back then, not worth worrying about, but today it is a grown man who can easily smash Ji Xiaoxiao flat with a large iron hammer.
Ji Xiaoxiao was full of doubts. She had clearly sealed off the Lu family mansion with the Evil House Protection Blood Talisman, so could that intelligent corpse be photosynthesizing and growing longer and thicker on its own?
Swallowing hard, Ji Xiaoxiao cautiously took small steps forward.
Like a day shrouded in smog, the Lu residence was filled with a dark aura, making it difficult for Ji Xiaoxiao to see clearly.
Suddenly, a dark figure sneaked out from behind Ji Xiaoxiao.
It has fangs, a ferocious and terrifying face, a bluish-black body, and no shoes. With each step it takes, it leaves a dark footprint on the ground.
Ji Xiaoxiao investigated cautiously as always, but ignored everything behind her.
That ghostly thing followed Ji Xiaoxiao all the way, as if it was looking for an opportunity to strike.
Humans are human after all; their spirit and body will always falter. Seeing Ji Xiaoxiao open an opening, the ghostly thing viciously clawed at her heart with its long purple fingernails.
With a roar.
Just as the claws were about to touch Ji Xiaoxiao's clothes, a purple lightning bolt shot out from within, fiercely descending from the sky, causing the ghostly creature to cry out in pain.
Ji Xiaoxiao slowly turned around, her small mouth slightly parted, "I've finally found you."
"Dao Tian" is a story that encompasses both good and evil, but Ji Xiaoxiao is a great hero with impeccable morals. How could she possibly be a heretic that everyone hates?
Ji Xiaoxiao's body contains pure and innocent spiritual energy, making her a natural enemy of evil energies such as yin energy. Although the Lu residence is shrouded in evil energy, there is a moving "pathogen" following behind. If Ji Xiaoxiao hadn't wanted to avoid alerting the enemy, she would have taken action long ago.
Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will win every battle. Ji Xiaoxiao had never fought that intelligent corpse before. Although she had previously deduced that it was weak, upon entering the Lu residence, Ji Xiaoxiao completely rejected that notion—if it didn't have some skill, would the Lu residence be in such a ghostly state!
Since she couldn't defeat that intelligent corpse, Ji Xiaoxiao suppressed her anxiety and remained inactive.
If the enemy doesn't move, I won't move; if the enemy moves, I'll move first.
"Intelligent Corpse, Intelligent Corpse, just an inanimate object. Lacking patience, it's best to strike first."
Ji Xiaoxiao seized the opportunity and unleashed all her evil-dispelling thunder talismans, which instead injured it.
The combined power of the Three-in-One Evil-Dispelling Thunder Talisman was immense, easily blasting off one of the intelligent corpse's arms. Black, foul-smelling blood gushed from the wound, and the intelligent corpse covered the bowl-sized wound with one hand, its completely black eyes fixed on Ji Xiaoxiao.
"I...want to eat...you."
The intelligent corpse didn't speak fluently, but if you listened carefully, you could still understand it.
Ji Xiaoxiao expressionlessly took out a peach wood sword from her back and slashed viciously at the intelligent corpse.
Villains die from talking too much; the key to invincibility lies in doing more and saying less.
Caught off guard, the intelligent corpse was slashed from its upper right shoulder to its left rib by Ji Xiaoxiao's sword.
"Roar!" Another earth-shattering roar.
Having been injured one after another by a mere mortal woman, the intelligent corpse's face fell. It suddenly took a few steps back and opened its mouth to inhale the billowing black smoke and mist into its belly.
Releasing a tiger back into the mountains will surely bring trouble later. Leaving behind a seed of disaster will only invite trouble. Ji Xiaoxiao doesn't know what it intends to do, but she will never let it do as it pleases.
Ji Xiaoxiao's body was as light as a bird, and she shot towards the intelligent corpse as soon as her feet left the ground.
The peach wood sword led the way, breaking through all obstacles in its path.
The intelligent corpse was constantly watching Ji Xiaoxiao. When it saw Ji Xiaoxiao recklessly attacking it, it panicked and, without bothering to absorb the black smoke and mist, jumped away.
Ji Xiaoxiao was a step too slow; the peach wood sword plunged into the ground, instantly creating a large crater.
Undeterred by victory or defeat, Ji Xiaoxiao drew her sword, determined to eliminate the intelligent corpse.
The intelligent corpse was severely injured. After absorbing the black smoke and mist, although it had not yet recovered to its peak, it managed to grow an arm.
Ji Xiaoxiao frowned slightly, "It can regenerate quickly?"
Looking around, I could vaguely see the bright sun overhead.
Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head, denying her previous conclusion.
"No, it should be thanks to the black smoke and fog."
Why does the black smoke and fog have such a significant impact on the intelligent corpses?
Ji Xiaoxiao took out all the Evil-Burning Fire Talismans she had on her and scattered them into the sky, unleashing a devastating "Heavenly Fire Burns the City." A raging inferno spread outwards from Ji Xiaoxiao, and black smoke and mist vanished instantly upon contact with it.
Seeing this, the intelligent corpse was both furious that Ji Xiaoxiao hadn't recognized its worth and heartbroken that these treasures were gone. The black smoke and mist were formed from souls, a great tonic for ghosts and monsters. If it hadn't been unable to absorb so much energy at once, Ji Xiaoxiao wouldn't have been so reckless as to waste this "food."
