A dark, malevolent aura shot straight into the sky, obscuring the sun and chilling the air, even more intense than the dead of winter.
The ghost slowly approached, while the basketball hoop behind Ji Xiaoxiao seemed to be breathing heavily.
Ji Xiaoxiao played hide-and-seek with the ghosts and monsters. She didn't know how much time had passed. All she knew was that her pure and powerful internal energy was almost gone, and she was barely clinging to life like a sheep waiting to be slaughtered.
Sweat soaked his entire body, and his dark cow hair clung to his face, making him look quite disheveled.
Ji Xiaoxiao's lips were pale, clearly a symptom of exhaustion.
Just then, a struggling ghost grabbed Ji Xiaoxiao's foot. Ji Xiaoxiao used her last bit of strength to kick the ghost away, then curled herself up into a ball.
The monsters behind her pressed forward, and Ji Xiaoxiao kept increasing the distance between them, but it was all in vain. They continued to approach Ji Xiaoxiao step by step.
Ji Xiaoxiao's brows remained furrowed. She gritted her teeth, hardened her heart, and used ten years of her lifespan to draw a golden circle, keeping the ghosts and monsters outside and preventing them from advancing an inch.
There was no time to despair. Ji Xiaoxiao sat cross-legged, trying her best to recover to her peak condition.
Time passed second by second, and his internal energy and physical strength had recovered to about 50-60%.
Outside the Vajra Circle were countless ghosts and monsters, their numbers dwindling until they were exhausted. The Vajra Circle couldn't hold them off for long, and Ji Xiaoxiao had to find another way to escape.
The wailing and howling of ghosts continued incessantly, and wisps of cold air rose from the ground. The next moment, Ji Xiaoxiao's entire body was covered in frost, and her slightly rosy face turned pale and almost transparent.
"Are they trying to force me out?"
Ji Xiaoxiao hugged herself tightly, rubbing her palms together incessantly.
Drip, drip, drip, a torrential downpour began.
Ji Xiaoxiao looked up and saw that the rain was blocked by the golden ring.
The command talisman slowly approached, and the color of the rain was surprisingly black with a hint of red.
The black rain was likely caused by the malevolent energy of ghosts, while the red rain was inextricably linked to human blood. Neither malevolent energy nor the blood of a tragically deceased person is inherently ominous.
Raindrops hit the golden ring, and the ring flashed with golden light before coming to a steady stop.
"We can't hold out like this for long; we can't just defend without attacking."
Even so, if she could, Ji Xiaoxiao would like to fight back a few times. However, circumstances were beyond her control; Ji Xiaoxiao had the means to resist, but not the ability to do so.
Ji Xiaoxiao stayed inside the Vajra Circle and drew a talisman to escape into the air. However, the Vajra Circle stopped working when she had only drawn half of the talisman.
The monsters swarmed forward, some biting Ji Xiaoxiao's arm, some eating her thigh meat, and some coveting her powerful soul.
Ji Xiaoxiao clenched her hands behind her back and could only silently recite the Five Thunder Incantation. Because she didn't have time to draw the talisman in her palms, the power was greatly reduced. Ji Xiaoxiao could only try to shake off and drive away the surrounding ghosts and monsters.
Ignoring her injuries, Ji Xiaoxiao leaped onto the basketball hoop and quickly drew a flight talisman with one hand.
With a series of fluttering sounds, countless winged monsters flew down from the sky.
Upon seeing this, Ji Xiaoxiao stopped what she was doing.
With nowhere to go but to heaven and nowhere to go but to hell, Ji Xiaoxiao laughed tragically.
"Ah..." The basketball hoop was shaken by the mountain of ghosts and monsters, and Ji Xiaoxiao almost fell down and became their meal.
The ghosts pushed and shoved each other, piling up on top of each other until they were level with Ji Xiaoxiao. It seemed that the evil ghost had struck first, occupying the high ground and rushing towards Ji Xiaoxiao like lightning. Ji Xiaoxiao was stuck, unable to go up or down, and her inner strength was useless against the ghosts, so she could only sit and wait for death.
With a whoosh, the evil spirit was shot away by a sharp arrow.
Ji Xiaoxiao looked in the direction from which the arrows had come. There stood a person in mid-air, holding a golden bow and carrying a quiver with a dozen or so golden arrows on his back.
A little closer, a little closer, and Ji Xiaoxiao saw clearly who it was: Yun Ming.
Yunming fired several arrows in quick succession, and the number of ghosts and monsters around Ji Xiaoxiao decreased significantly. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Yunming unleashed several powerful attacks, causing the ghosts and monsters to retreat, the clouds to disperse, and the crescent moon to appear.
Ji Xiaoxiao could no longer support herself and collapsed. Yun Ming reacted quickly and caught the battered and bruised Ji Xiaoxiao.
"You still won't admit that you are Yunming, won't admit that you are my Yunming?" Ji Xiaoxiao gently stroked Yunming's handsome profile and said excitedly.
Without saying a word, Yunming frantically carried the person to the school clinic, frantically searching for medicine.
In just ten minutes, Ji Xiaoxiao was wrapped up by Yun Ming like a cicada doll.
"Don't go, answer my question." Seeing Yun Ming about to leave, Ji Xiaoxiao quickly grabbed Yun Ming's collar. "You are Yun Ming, aren't you?"
Yunming was a tight-lipped guy at this moment. No matter how much Ji Xiaoxiao tried to persuade him, he didn't say a word, which made Ji Xiaoxiao very annoyed.
"Are you?" Ji Xiaoxiao shouted.
After the loud bang, you could hear a pin drop in the school clinic.
A moment passed in the blink of an eye, and Yunming turned and walked outside.
"Go away. If you leave, we'll have nothing to do with each other anymore," Ji Xiaoxiao said ruthlessly.
Damn it, who do you think you are? Do you think I have to lower myself to your level for you?
Ji Xiaoxiao had had enough, really had enough. Whether she admitted it or not, if Yunming walked out of this door, they would have no relationship whatsoever, and if they met again, they would be strangers.
"Go ahead and leave! Go ahead and leave!" Ji Xiaoxiao said smugly when Yunming didn't move.
See? He still cares about me!
Just as Ji Xiaoxiao was feeling smug, reality slapped her hard in the face.
Yunming turned and glanced at Ji Xiaoxiao, then said, "I am not Yunming."
After speaking, Yunming performed the series of actions of opening and closing the door with remarkable ease.
Ji Xiaoxiao was stunned. After recovering from her shock, she threw her pillow away in anger.
