Chapter 269 Good and evil are irreconcilable.

"Master, are you taking me as your disciple?"

"Take advantage of the demonic sect's enchantress's affection for you and seize the opportunity to reclaim the Morning Sun Flower." Yue Ran spoke with a firm and resounding voice.

Ming Yuehui paused, seemingly somewhat resistant to Yue Ran's method.

"Master, how is this any different from the actions of the Demonic Sect?"

Yue Ran shook her head, clearly feeling a mix of sadness and joy at the boy's naive thoughts.

"The Demonic Cult has committed numerous evils. You used the Demonic Cult to retrieve the Sunflower and refine the Rejuvenation Pill. When your master reaches the peak and advances to the Mahayana stage, we will annihilate Yin Soul Mountain in one fell swoop. That would be a great thing that benefits all living beings. Hui'er, you are the savior of all the people under heaven. You cannot be compared with the people of the Demonic Cult. Doing so would tarnish your reputation."

Although something felt off, Ming Yuehui, who always obeyed his master's orders, didn't think too much about it and diligently followed Yue Ran's instructions.

Fully equipped, Ming Yuehui secretly infiltrated Yinhun Mountain. After quietly gathering information, he found Ji Xiaoxiao's boudoir.

The Yin Hun Mountain stretches for thousands of miles, the morning sun flower is just a tiny bloom, and the bright moonlight is nowhere to be found. In desperation, Ji Xiaoxiao becomes his lifeline.

"De de de..."

There were several knocks on the door.

Ji Xiaoxiao was sitting cross-legged on the bed in meditation when a rapid knocking on the door interrupted her meditation.

"who?"

"It's me."

"who?"

"It's me."

"Who are you? State your name."

It's me? It's me? Who the hell knows who you are?!

"It is I, Mingyuehui."

Ji Xiaoxiao almost screamed. Could it be... could this be the legendary stroke of luck?

Well, what a pleasant surprise! You've searched high and low, only to find it right under your nose. Why not take the path to heaven, instead of barging into the gates of hell? Did Mingyuehui get her hair caught in a door?

Oh well, who cares? It's roast duck that's practically flying into my mouth, might as well eat it.

With a creak, Ji Xiaoxiao opened the door.

Why are you here?

Ming Yuehui disregarded the difference between men and women and went straight into Ji Xiaoxiao's boudoir. He sat down in a chair with an air of nonchalance, poured himself a cup of tea, and slowly sipped it, feeling the cool, moist comfort in his dry, hot throat.

Ji Xiaoxiao glanced at it coldly and then closed the door behind her.

Why are you here?

Ask me one more time. If I don't tell the truth, I'll kill him.

Ming Yuehui carefully searched the room from top to bottom, but found no eavesdropping devices or spying arrays. He then leisurely returned to his chair, crossed his legs, and sipped his tea.

After a while, Mingyuehui asked, "Shenyin, do you have the Morning Sun Flower?"

Ji Xiaoxiao leaned against a pillar, her arms crossed over her chest, her cherry-like lips slightly upturned.

Ming Yuehui waited and waited, but Ji Xiaoxiao remained unmoved and ugly, her calm demeanor faltering slightly. A demonic witch is a demonic witch; no matter how innocent and harmless she may appear, she is inherently as ugly as a beast.

“Shenyin, I know the Sunflower is in your hands, my master…”

"Since you know the Sunflower is in my hands, are you a reincarnation of a gossipy woman? Why ask so many pointless questions? Can't you just get to the point?"

Ji Xiaoxiao interrupted Ming Yuehui with a loud shout and insulted him mercilessly.

Ming Yuehui's expression darkened slightly, and his hand was already on the hilt of the longsword at his waist.

Ji Xiaoxiao, with her nostrils flared, gave a haughty snort.

"you……."

"What do you mean, 'you'? Ming Yuehui, don't forget, this isn't your Longyou Mountain Range Haotian Sect, but my Shenyin Yinhun Mountain. On my territory, dragons coil up and tigers lie down. You, Ming Yuehui, a mere Haotian Sect disciple, come to my Yinhun Mountain and you have to obediently bow and scrape, grovel and beg, like a dog or a pig. Are you trying to end up like your junior brother Zhao Yu?"

Upon hearing the name "Zhao Yu," the usually gentle and refined gentleman Ming Yuehui glared angrily, his robes billowing loudly and shrilly even though there was no wind.

Ji Xiaoxiao waved her hand, completely neutralizing the incoming energy.

"Do you intend to attack me?" Ji Xiaoxiao suddenly said mournfully, "Back in the Wind God Desert, I was trying to save you and your junior brothers and sisters when a corpse demon took advantage of the situation and forced its corpse energy into my body, causing me to fall into a coma. I was kind and righteous to you, but you repaid kindness with enmity, abandoning me and leaving me in a small cave. Corpse demons can track the scent of living people from thousands of miles away. I was lying in a well-ventilated and dry cave. If I hadn't woken up in time, I would have either been torn apart and eaten by the corpse demons or transformed into one of them. How can I, the young master of Yin Soul Mountain, be classified as a kind of mindless and soulless corpse demon?"

Mingyuehui felt guilty about what happened in the Fengshen Gobi Desert and couldn't sleep all night.

After offering a perfunctory apology, Mingyuehui rallied her forces.

"Shenyin, I really need the Morning Sunflower. Could you please give it to me for the sake of our past relationship?" Mingyuehui's eyes sparkled as he stared intently at her. For a moment, Ji Xiaoxiao was in a daze, thinking that she was Mingyuehui's everything.

Shaking her head, Ji Xiaoxiao felt even more contempt for Ming Yuehui.

A perfectly respectable disciple of the righteous path resorted to the "handsome man trap," a tactic even demonic men would scorn. He was all show and no substance, a mere facade.

"Our past relationship? What relationship could we possibly have? Was it the kindness I showed you by saving your lives, or your ingratitude towards me? You, Ming Yuehui, can say such things, but I, Shenyin, cannot bear to hear it." Ji Xiaoxiao spat several times.

"Shenyin, I'm asking you one last time, will you give me the Morning Sunflower or not?"

"No." Ji Xiaoxiao refused Ming Yuehui decisively.

"Fine, since you're not going to resolve this peacefully, let's see who's stronger!"
