Chapter 279 Good and evil are irreconcilable (End)

The Qiankun Pearl appeared out of thin air, shining brightly and enveloping Yue Ran.

Ji Xiaoxiao stared in disbelief, paused for a moment, and hurriedly reached out to grab Yue Ran.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it..."

Watching Yue Ran escape, Ji Xiaoxiao was furious.

"Kill them all, leave no one alive." Ji Xiaoxiao turned to Elder Wanhun of the Hundred Ghosts Sect and said in a sinister tone, "Copper dregs can be used to repair the color of ancient artifacts, and old silk can be used to add a new look. Senior Wanhun, I would like to trouble you to make use of the souls of Haotian disciples and refine them into the Wanhun Banner."

The Haotian Sect was once one of the most prestigious sects in the righteous path, renowned for the quality of its disciples. Elder Wanhun had long coveted it, but at the time, the Haotian Sect's power was at its zenith, leaving him with the desire but not the courage to act, only able to watch helplessly as his eyes watered. Now that Ji Xiaoxiao had made the offer, with benefits offered for free, how could Elder Wanhun refuse?

"This old man thanks the young mountain master." Elder Wanhun bowed, then raised his head, revealing a chilling smile on his withered, wrinkled old face, as dry as tree bark.

Ji Xiaoxiao remained calm and fearless, watching intently as Elder Wanhun collected and refined souls.

Ten thousand ghosts wept, and cries of sorrow filled the land. Resentment soared to the heavens, and the land was a den of demons and ghosts.

Standing outside the white jade hall, the smug Ji Xiaoxiao took one last look before casually destroying one of the iconic buildings of the Haotian Sect with a single palm strike.

"From this day forward, the Haotian Sect will cease to exist in the world, and the Longyou Mountains will belong to my Demonic Sect."

Ji Xiaoxiao's clear, cold voice echoed throughout the surroundings, and the disciples of the Demonic Sect immediately danced with joy.

Good and evil are irreconcilable enemies? Then let them be irreconcilable! Who will live and who will die is still uncertain!

Ji Xiaoxiao spent several days cleaning up the battlefield. After confirming that no one had escaped, Ji Xiaoxiao returned to Yinhun Mountain and personally reported the great victory to Kagura.

"Okay." Kagura exclaimed in surprise and delight.

"The destruction of the Haotian Sect will undoubtedly be a huge blow to the Demon Extermination Alliance. One's momentum will be strong, but it will be weaker and weaker. Everyone, our demonic path has won a great victory, and the disciples' morale is at its peak. If we press on now and continue our momentum, we will surely achieve a resounding victory."

No one objected to Kagura's proposal, from any perspective.

Thus, the Demonic Cult hastily mobilized its troops and quietly marched south.

Meanwhile, within the Demon Extermination Alliance, everyone held their breath, each minding their own business.

Yue Ran glanced around at the people around her and gave a cold laugh.

"Ha, this is the righteous chivalrous person who takes the affairs of the world as his own responsibility!"

The irony was palpable, and the upright, righteous people sitting there frowned slightly.

They're all a bunch of opportunistic, good-for-nothing scoundrels.

Yue Ran raised an eyebrow, and a few scabs fell from her frost-covered, graying brows.

With her gaze fixed on Lie Yun in the main seat, Yue Ran spoke up, "Fellow Daoist Lie Yun, now that my Haotian Sect has suffered a great calamity, shouldn't the Demon Extermination Alliance, which claims to be the righteous path, seek justice for the tens of thousands of disciples of my Haotian Sect who died unjustly?"

Upon hearing Yue Ran's words, Lie Yun was shocked and remained stunned for a long time. Although he disliked Yue Ran's refusal to help, he could not stand idly by and turn a blind eye to the lives of tens of thousands of innocent disciples of the Haotian Sect.

"Fellow Daoist Yue Ran, the Demon Extermination Alliance will give you an explanation for this matter..."

Before Lie Yun could finish speaking, he was rudely interrupted by an old man dressed in black, "Alliance Leader, I believe this matter should absolutely not be agreed to!"

The old man paused for a moment, then continued, "Alliance Leader, at the crucial moment of exorcising demons, Sect Leader Yue Ran, out of personal anger, led the Haotian Sect to withdraw from the Demon Exorcising Alliance. As the saying goes, 'He who sows the seeds reaps the harvest.' What cause you sow, you reap the consequences. Yue Ran disregarded the lives of all living beings, and the Haotian Sect deserves this calamity."

"Fuck your mother, you old bastard from the Immortal Slaying Sword Sect, you're waiting for a chance to get revenge on me." Yue Ran was truly furious. As the head of a sect, he actually cursed in public.

He knew his own body best. After repeated battles, his already weakened body was riddled with wounds and injuries; Yue Ran barely had a few years left to live. He was born and raised in the Haotian Sect; the Haotian Sect was his home, his destiny. The millennia-old foundation of his ancestors had been destroyed in his hands. If he couldn't rebuild its glory, then he would make his enemies go to hell with his Haotian Sect!

The demonic path is now rampant, and Yue Ran, all alone, is no match for this behemoth. The only option now is to form an anti-demon alliance.

No matter who stands in his way of revenge, he will kill anyone who gets in his way.

Yue Ran glanced coldly at Jian Ying, the leader of the Zhanxian Sword Sect, and said disdainfully, "Narrow-minded, petty, arrogant, and conceited. No wonder the Zhanxian Sword Sect, which once stood above all the righteous sects, has declined drastically since falling into your hands, Jian Ying. A sect leader should be broad-minded and magnanimous, but look at you, all talk and no action. Apart from being fat, you are nothing like that."

Sword Shadow, his beard trembling, pointed at Yue Ran, but was speechless.

The Immortal Slaying Sword Sect once stood above all other prestigious and righteous sects.

The Immortal Slaying Sword Sect only declined from its former glory after it came into his hands.

Seeing that Yue Ran and Jian Ying were on the verge of exchanging blows, Lie Yun stepped in to quell the tension.

"The righteous spirit does not depend on form, but relies on strength; it does not depend on life to exist, nor does it perish with death. Therefore, in the heavens it is the stars, on the earth it is the rivers and mountains; in the shadows it is the spirits, and in the light it is the human. Senior Sword Shadow, we are righteous people, and it is our duty to uphold justice, eliminate evil, and protect the righteous path. The righteous spirit of our predecessors who upheld justice throughout the ages has endured, and today it is our turn to carry on their legacy. The Demonic Sect is utterly inhuman, slaughtering the entire Haotian Sect. How can we stand idly by in the face of such evil deeds? Know that being a good person brings peace of mind and tranquility; doing good deeds brings the knowledge of heaven and earth and the admiration of spirits."
