Chapter 314 The Desiccated System Eight

They carefully escorted the person into the house and handed them over to the maids of the main house for their care.

In the end, life is the most important thing.

To die beneath a peony blossom, even as a ghost, is to be romantic.

"Go away, don't talk nonsense. This is Brother Biao's prey. If you touch Brother Biao's stuff, do you want to be dragged to feed the zombies like those other people?"

"It's really awesome. If I could taste it, I would have no regrets."

Along the way, her body grew increasingly hot, and Min Qiu couldn't help but groan.

"Mmm...mmm...ahhh..."

The group huffed and puffed as they climbed the small hill, where a magnificent mansion stood deep within. Nestled against the mountain and beside the water, the mansion was heavily guarded and utterly opulent.

The car sped away, and half an hour later, it stopped at the foot of a small hill.

Before she could even think straight, two men burst into the small, dilapidated building two minutes later. They asked Min's parents if she was Min Qiu. After Min's parents answered tremblingly, the two men wrapped her in a blanket, hoisted her onto their shoulders, and strode away.

Min Qiu's mind raced through the legends surrounding "Brother Biao," and the deeper she pondered, the more terrified she became. How could such a powerful figure as Brother Biao have taken a liking to her?

Brother Biao? The gang leader of the Changlin base? A pervert who enjoys playing with young, handsome bodies? A man with a ruthless history of bathing and loving zombies for ten years?

Min Qiu, who was lying on the ground panting, vaguely heard the words "Brother Biao". His eyes widened in horror, his bones felt cold and his hair stood on end, and his restless body trembled violently.

Thinking about what kind of person Brother Biao was, Min's father's heaving chest gradually calmed down.

"Don't be angry, don't be angry." Mother Min gently patted Father Min's chest, coaxing him softly, "When Brother Biao comes, this brat will definitely be in even worse shape."

Min's mother spat at Min Qiu and forcefully pulled Min's father to stop.

"Old man, alright, Brother Biao has his eye on this brat now."

Min Qiu lay on the ground, still being punched and kicked by her father and mother.

"You slut, you slut."

Min's father slapped Min Qiu with white powder. Min Qiu accidentally breathed in a tiny bit of it and immediately felt hot all over, unable to exert any strength, and even his superpowers failed.

"Xiao Qiu, I beg you... Go to hell, you wretched woman."

Min's father crawled to Min Qiu's feet, his rough hands tightly clutching Min Qiu's trousers, large tears falling onto the dusty floor.

"Don't waste my time, just say it," Min Qiu shouted.

In reality, Min Qiu coldly watched as her father knelt down and kowtowed to her.

Ji Xiaoxiao muttered to herself in a daze, then glanced at Min Qiu before calming down and resuming her cultivation.

"Kongmin, when are you coming?"

Ji Xiaoxiao hung her head, lowered her eyes, and was surrounded by an aura of sadness.

What seems like a misfortune may actually be a blessing in disguise. With such a family, being an orphan is actually quite good.

Ji Xiaoxiao patted her chest and sighed, "Luckily, I don't have parents."

Parents scheme against their daughter, and the daughter hates her parents to the core—what kind of family is this?

The thing in Min's father's hand was far more terrifying than the Spring Energy Pill.

Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head, her eyes filled with a hint of sympathy as she looked at Min Qiu.

"What is this?"

While staying in Min Qiu's consciousness space, Ji Xiaoxiao inadvertently noticed Min's father's subtle actions.

With a thud, Min's father knelt down and slowly moved towards Min Qiu, his knees twitching.

"I'll talk, I'll talk..." Min's father had personally witnessed the horrific scene of zombies devouring living people. He had been pampered for many years and could not bear the pain of flesh being torn apart.

Min Qiu wasn't just joking; an overwhelming killing intent and aura poured down, making the old and restless Min's parents tremble.

Min Qiu grabbed Min's mother by the neck and said to Min's trembling father, "Speak! If you dare to lie to me even a single word, you'd better prepare to be zombie food!"

They were spared, but they refused to repent and even tried to harm her. This time, Min Qiu would not be soft-hearted; she would nip it in the bud and eliminate them completely.

"What are you hiding from me?" Min Qiu's eyes revealed a terrifying killing intent.

Min Qiu stamped her feet, but even with all the strength her parents exerted, they could not budge her an inch.

"Xiao Qiu, time is of the essence, hurry up!" Min's mother said urgently, grabbing Min Qiu's hand and rushing forward.

The small building was stained with blood, some black and foul-smelling, others fresh and raw, a testament to the constant fighting and carnage that had taken place here. In this chaotic place where a single misstep could lead to certain death, did these two scoundrels truly wish to live in such a place?

"Wait a minute," Min Qiu suddenly called out to his parents, who were leading the way.

Inside the dilapidated building, pools of dark blood were visible everywhere. Min Qiu covered her nose; the stench of rotting corpses mixed with the musty smell of year-round lack of ventilation and sunlight, creating a level of nausea so intense it could literally kill someone.

Mr. and Mrs. Min laughed heartily and led Min Qiu into the small, dilapidated building.

Min Qiu nodded, indicating that she understood.

Min's father's words, though crude, were not without merit; hunger was indeed unbearable.

"Xiao Qiu, we're just two old bones. We can barely make ends meet by killing a few low-level zombies." Even getting enough to eat is a problem, let alone worrying about living conditions.

Mr. and Mrs. Min swallowed hard, a look of panic flashing across their faces.

So, what made them act out of character?

Min Qiu glanced indifferently at the dilapidated building. Although it could barely keep out the wind and rain, it was truly a place where one had to live under the open sky. Min Qiu knew her parents well; they would rather starve, work themselves to death, or suffer in misery than live in a pigsty.

"You live here?"

The small, dilapidated building was three stories high, with shattered glass on every floor, giving it a desolate appearance. The exterior walls were covered in ivy and other plants, adding a touch of menacing vitality. The place felt strange inside and out, and Min Qiu instinctively became wary.
