The canopy of trees blocked out the sky and the moon, dark clouds filled the sky, and it was so dark on the ground that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Thump thump thump, thump thump thump, thump thump thump...
The rhythmic drumming is breathtaking, each beat resonating in the soul, making one unconsciously sway their arms and legs, dance gracefully, and sing at the top of their lungs.
Mu Sen was knowledgeable and experienced, yet cautious. His eyes widened in surprise for a moment before returning to their usual cold and stern expression.
"Something's not right with this drumbeat."
"Cover your ears and focus your mind!" Mu Sen shouted.
With Yu Musen's intervention, everyone gradually came to their senses.
"General, well... I actually wanted to dance just now." The man was a little embarrassed. What kind of grown man would dance so late at night, to show off to a bunch of stinky men like them?
"Me too." Sharing happiness is worse than enjoying it alone.
"Me too, I want to sing another song."
"General, this drumbeat has the power to bewitch people."
The group, their hearts trembling, danced and sang wildly in the Abyss Valley Forest, utterly courting death. The dark and windy night was the perfect opportunity for wild beasts to hunt; they were simply tired of living, hence their dancing and singing, which only served to lure the beasts to them.
Musen waved to the crowd, and they gathered around him.
"General."
“I think that drumming sound is unusual; it might be hiding a secret. Maybe Shui Miao and White are there,” Mu Sen said confidently.
Whether Shui Miao and White were there voluntarily or were forced to remain stationary remains to be investigated.
Mu Sen gave everyone two minutes to pack their luggage. Two minutes later, everyone lined up with their backpacks taut and ready to burst, waiting for Mu Sen to give them orders.
"Let's go." Mu Sen strode forward. "Be careful, and remember to watch out for the drumbeats."
The sound of drums can bewitch people, and it is unknown what those who fall into illusions will do.
Mu Sen and his group cautiously explored the source of the drumming sound. The ground was littered with withered leaves and broken branches, and the cracking and snapping sounds were unavoidable.
Everyone tried to walk quietly and breathe softly. After about ten minutes, they passed through the grass and trees, and a large clearing suddenly appeared in front of them.
The clearing was barren, covered in yellow earth, with a bonfire burning brightly in the center, billowing thick smoke. Beside the fire was a large drum, and a strong, powerful man gripped the drumsticks, his muscles bulging with each beat. Dozens of humanoid creatures, clad in tattered black cloaks, danced and gesticulated around the fire, their voices rising and falling with the drumbeats.
"General, that's White."
Following the man's finger, Mu Sen saw a large, solid, black iron rod standing on the fire, with a short brown-haired man tied to it.
"What are they doing? Could it be that they're going to...?"
A jinx is someone who says bad things but never good; the less you say, the less likely you are to make a mistake.
White was completely naked, his back pressed against the metal sheet, his mouth stuffed with ingredients and seasonings such as chili peppers and ginger, and his whole body was covered in a reddish-brown substance. In the firelight, White shone brightly, as if a layer of oil was reflecting the firelight.
"Sizzle sizzle..."
Musen sniffed; he smelled the aroma of roasted meat.
"Human flesh barbecue," Mu Sen said coldly.
They've got some nerve, daring to lay a hand on his people.
Mu Sen made a few hand gestures, and the soldiers understood immediately, silently dispersing. With perfect teamwork and high-tech weapons at their disposal, Mu Sen and his men quickly subdued the cannibals who roasted and ate human flesh, surrendering and kneeling in obeisance.
"Keep an eye on them." Human-eating creatures are the natural enemies of humankind.
Musen and the others extinguished the fire and, with trembling hearts, rescued White, only to find that White was already burnt to a crisp, cooked through.
"General, I want to kill them!" someone shouted angrily, brandishing a gun.
"Don't be impulsive, they..."
"Bang bang bang... Ahhh..."
Gunshots and screams suddenly erupted behind me, startling the birds clinging to the trees.
Whoosh! A flock of black-feathered birds soared into the sky.
The remaining five people, along with Mu Sen, suddenly turned around. The "cannibals" who had previously knelt and bowed in submission launched a desperate counterattack, their tails piercing through human bodies, leaving pools of bright red blood on the ground.
"Dark Alien".
That tail, without a doubt, is the tail of the Dark Alien.
The cloaked humanoid creatures lifted the hood of their cloaks to reveal faces that were almost indistinguishable from humans, but looking at their flying tails, those monstrous things were clearly Dark Star people from the Dark Star.
Why are there Dark Aliens in the Abyss Valley of Sacramento?
"Beep beep beep... beep beep beep..."
Accompanied by a piercing noise, a river of milk flows from the forest.
"Snakes!" someone cried out in alarm. "General, it's those snakes!"
Long worms that feed on humans, dark aliens from the abyss valley, and all sorts of unpredictable and unfathomable conspiracies are coming one after another, as if they are about to break free from the shackles of Mu Sen's mind.
The serpent was extremely fast and stopped at everyone's feet in an instant.
"General."
"Is Heaven going to destroy me? Is Heaven going to destroy Sacryton?" Musen thought sadly.
The smoke from the fire behind us grew thicker and thicker, seemingly enough to choke a person to death.
...
The timeframe is three months after Long Aotian expressed his sincerity to the Dark Emperor.
The Imperial Star is the central hall of the imperial palace, also known as the Celestial Palace.
Inside the Celestial Palace, Long Aotian was completely naked, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
"Have all the people been sent?"
Kneeling on the smooth, mirror-like ground, the envoys who had sent people to the Dark Star bowed their heads in worship.
"Your Majesty, all the personnel have been delivered. The Dark Emperor is overjoyed and has stated his willingness to send an additional ten percent of soldiers to assist Your Majesty in capturing Sacriton," the envoy said respectfully.
