Chapter 349 The Heiress's Revenge, Part Twenty-Two

The basement was completely sealed off, with poor air circulation, and the stench was nauseating.

General Liu, with a handkerchief covering his nose, walked into the interrogation room without changing his expression.

"Bring the person up."

In the blink of an eye, Andrei was taken from the torture chamber to the interrogation room.

General Liu glanced at the half-dead Andrei, and he knew roughly what kind of torture the executioner had used last night.

Andrei was barely clothed, his body covered in the teeth marks of hunting dogs. The marks were not scattered, but rather sharp teeth were deeply embedded in his flesh, like the wounds left by vampires from ancient novels who feed on human blood to survive.

"You may all leave."

"Yes." Everyone withdrew.

The two people inside are worlds apart, one in the heavens and the other on the earth, with vastly different advantages and disadvantages.

"I heard you're Major General Sacramento?" General Liu leaned back in his chair, his left leg crossed over his right, his hands clasped on his stomach, looking rather relaxed.

Andrei coughed, and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

“Yes, I am Major General Andrei of Sacramento,” Andrei said weakly.

General Liu curled his lips into a smile. "Words are meaningless. Why should I believe you?"

"Bargaining?" Andrei sneered inwardly.

How could a dying man like him not be able to defy an old man who has something to ask of him?

Andrei's voice was hoarse. "If you don't believe me, you can leave."

General Liu frowned slightly, feeling a little annoyed.

"You ungrateful wretch, if you want to relive last night's nightmare again, I can keep you alive for a hundred years or so, making you suffer day and night."

Upon hearing this, Andrei trembled.

“I have no reason to lie to you. Just bring anyone from Star City and let them correct me. Although I, Andrei, am not as famous as the five generals, I am well-known in Star City. Everyone knows me.”

Everyone knows him? General Liu scoffs at this. Famous? Then why didn't they get his basic information as a public figure immediately?

“I don’t want to suffer that night again. I can tell you everything you want to know, as long as I know it, even Elizabeth, the Lord of Sacramenton, and the hiding places of General Musen and General Shuimiao, two of the five generals.”

General Liu thought for a moment and said, "Betraying your military oath and abandoning your lord to join the enemy, what do you want by doing this? What you want is not just to leave here, is it?"

Andrei glared angrily at a sleazy figure behind the large iron gate.

"I want countless riches, and you must take me to a safe place and ensure my safety. I don't want to be hunted down by the remnants of Sacramento for the rest of my life." Andrei lay prostrate on the ground, showing no trace of a soldier.

"Okay," Liu agreed immediately.

It's nothing, no problem agreeing.

"Also, I want him."

General Liu understood perfectly what Andrei meant by him.

"Sure." He's just a nobody, so I'll give it to him.

"Alright, give him to me now. After I get my revenge, I'll take you to Elizabeth." Andrei rubbed his hands together, eager to avenge his humiliation.

Other matters can wait, but capturing Elizabeth is of utmost urgency. General Liu will not agree to Andrei's childish request.

"No? Then forget about the deal."

Those who have nothing to lose are not afraid of those who have something to lose; Andrei had accurately identified General Liu's weakness.

General Liu still needs Andrei's intelligence; a day or two later is fine.

"Someone come here."

The iron gate opened, and a group of people filed in.

"General Liu, what are your orders?" The speaker was none other than the executioner who had tortured Andrei.

"From this day forward, you belong to Andrei."

"Owned by Andrei? What does that mean?" The executioner was dumbfounded.

"Arrest him." Andrei's words had no effect, so General Liu repeated himself.

"Let me go, let me go, General, General! It was I who made him speak. I may not have done anything great, but I have worked hard. General, I beg you, please let me go."

The executioner dared not imagine what would happen to him if he fell into Andrei's hands.

General Liu remained unmoved and ordered his men to quickly take the prisoners to the torture chamber. Time was of the essence, and General Liu wished he could lend a hand and help Andrei finish off the torturer so they could begin their mission as soon as possible.

Andrei was helped to his feet and limped into the torture chamber. The executioner was tied up, and then waved for him to leave; the roles of executioner and victim had been reversed.

"Please, spare me."

If we spare him, then who will spare him?

Despite his injuries, Andrei devoted himself to treating the executioner to a full day and night.

"Dead?" Andrei put down the saw, still savoring the moment. "No fun. Someone, bring me the medical equipment. I'm not well, how can I guide your general?"

Andrei accepted the service from the Star Empire with a clear conscience.

Meanwhile, General Liu had been busy all night, gathering a large number of elites, preparing to lead them to capture Elizabeth Agnes.

General Liu had barely sat down to take a sip of water and hadn't even caught his breath when a report about Andrei arrived.

"Is he ready and has decided to set off now?"

General Liu cursed Andrei under his breath, calling him a troublesome little devil, and hurriedly left with his men.

At the starship port, spaceships take off and land, a dazzling spectacle.

Andrei and Liu walked side by side.

"Don't take the airships or starships. Do you think that where Elizabeth is hiding will give you the opportunity to use these convenient tools?"

Andrei shook his head and gave these country bumpkins a proper explanation of the eeriness of the Abyss Valley. The Abyss Valley was formed millions of years ago, and it contains strange electromagnetic waves and energy that can interfere with spaceship systems. If one is not careful, the ship can easily be destroyed and everyone on board can perish.
