To welcome Gu Jing's arrival, the Gu family's servants busied themselves, cleaning the house spotlessly until the white marble gleamed.
Ji Xiaoxiao glanced sideways. The woman holding Gu Jing's arm had an ethereal air about her. Her long, black hair, reaching her waist, was smooth and shiny. Her bright eyes sparkled with the nervousness and unease of an ugly daughter-in-law meeting her in-laws.
This woman seems familiar!
"Hello, Grandpa."
An unforgettable, haunting sound, a nightmare that has haunted me for most of my life!
Boom! Ji Xiaoxiao's brain exploded.
You search high and low without finding it, only to have it come to you effortlessly.
Jin Yahui, you chose the path to heaven but refused to take it, and barged into the gates of hell when there were none.
Good! Good! Good!
Ignoring everything, Ji Xiaoxiao rushed forward, her Wind-Breaking Eagle Claw aimed straight for Jin Yahui's neck.
Clang, like the clash of weapons.
Gu Jing stood in front of Jin Ya Hui, moving swiftly to block Ji Xiao Xiao's attack with his elbow.
"Who are you? Why do you know ancient martial arts? Why did you attack Ya Ya?" Gu Jing asked a series of questions without taking a breath.
Ji Xiaoxiao snorted, bypassed Gu Jing, and set her sights on Jin Ya Hui. Gu Jing, a grown man, could not allow Ji Xiaoxiao to hurt his lover. He swept through the crowd, forcing Ji Xiaoxiao to retreat.
"Get out of the way," Ji Xiaoxiao said coldly.
In the spring breeze of March, the indoor temperature was as cold as winter.
Gu Jing remained unmoved and said, "This is the Gu family's territory. I advise you to stop."
Ji Xiaoxiao turned around and looked at Gu Guo, "Grandpa, do you still stand by your word?"
“A promise is a promise, and it cannot be taken back,” Gu Guo replied.
Ji Xiaoxiao pointed to Jin Yahui behind Gu Jing and said, "This is Jin Yahui, the only daughter of Jin Daoba, the enemy who killed my brother."
"It's her?" How could that be? Wasn't she his grandson's future wife? How did she become Kim Ah-hye, the daughter of the ruthless killer Scarface?
Gu Guo said in a gentle voice, "Xiao Wen, are you sure you're not mistaken?"
“It’s impossible for me to be wrong,” Ji Xiaoxiao denied loudly. “How could I be wrong? Even if that beastly father and daughter turned to ashes, I would still recognize them.”
Gu Guo's eyes flickered as he carefully considered his words.
Before Gu Guo could reply, Gu Jing spoke first, "Ya Ya is not named Jin Ya Hui. Her surname is Zhong, and her given name is Ya Ya. Her full name is Zhong Ya Ya. She has nothing to do with the Jin Ya Hui you mentioned."
Ji Xiaoxiao remained silent, her sharp gaze fixed on the so-called "Zhong Yaya." Looking left and right, she saw that "Zhong Yaya" was identical to Jin Yahui; how could they not be related?
"Jin Ya Hui is a slut, and Jin Dao Ba deserves to die a horrible death..."
Ji Xiaoxiao's soft voice echoed in the spacious hall.
A disagreement escalates into a full-blown verbal battle?
The woman was shrewish, using foul language and displaying a complete lack of manners.
The woman, shielded by Gu Jing, grew increasingly grim. When Ji Xiaoxiao began to berate Jin Ya Hui's mother, whom she had never met, the woman made her move.
"Fuck your mother! I'm Jin Ya Hui, I never change my name or surname!" the woman shouted angrily, pointing at Ji Xiaoxiao's nose.
"Hehehe... a fake is a fake, and a real is a real. You can pretend for a while, but you can't pretend forever. You've finally shown your true colors."
Ji Xiaoxiao felt a sudden chill, and visible frost and ice spread around her like crawling insects.
Gu Guoli was closer to Ji Xiaoxiao and clearly sensed her change. He involuntarily shuddered and exhaled a puff of white breath.
"Why is it so cold?" The servants rubbed their arms.
Gu Jing kept a close eye on Ji Xiaoxiao. Her inner strength was manifesting, capable of creating ice and cold; this woman's martial arts were undoubtedly extraordinary. However, those who cultivated ancient martial arts rarely emerged into the world; most buried themselves in diligent study and practice. This woman's cultivation was remarkable, her martial arts highly skilled, and her inner strength profound. Was she a direct disciple of a reclusive, powerful sect?
"Who are you?" Gu Jing was completely unaware of the purpose of the martial arts master who had come from an unknown background and why he had approached his grandfather. He became wary.
Ji Xiaoxiao curled her lips and concealed her leaking inner strength. "Why don't you ask the woman beside you? I think she should remember me well. After all, her first time as a woman was with my younger brother."
Gu Jing frowned, then relaxed. Ya Ya was pregnant with his child. Whether she was a priceless original or a worthless secondhand, he knew perfectly well, despite his tireless supervision.
"You're talking nonsense. My man has only ever been Ah Jing." Jin Ya Hui grabbed Gu Jing's hand, lifted her chin, and looked at Gu Jing pitifully with tears in her eyes. "Ah Jing, believe me. I'm not the kind of woman who does whatever she wants. You're the only man I've ever been with. Don't listen to the nonsense of outsiders."
"I know." Gu Jing patted Jin Ya Hui's head, his face gentle and tender.
Ji Xiaoxiao suddenly raised her voice, "Nonsense? Who's spouting nonsense and spewing filth? Jin Yahui, it's been seven years, and you've certainly learned the art of silver tongue, turning black into white, distorting facts, and confusing right and wrong. Impressive, huh!"
Jin Yahui is right in front of us; this is an opportunity that cannot be missed. We cannot give up easily. If we capture Jin Yahui, we can follow the clues and eventually uncover Jin Daoba's hiding place.
Ji Xiaoxiao's breath hitched, and her surging internal energy suddenly exploded. Her extreme speed allowed her to successfully evade Gu Jing's pursuit and interception, and she gripped Jin Yahui's neck like an eagle's five fingers.
"Let go of Ya Ya!" Gu Jing roared in anger.
That hateful woman deserves to die.
Ji Xiaoxiao ignored her completely, her face as cold as ice, and asked Jin Ya Hui, "Jin Ya Hui, if you don't want to suffer endless torment, you'd better tell me the truth: where is your father, Jin Dao Ba, hiding in that tortoise shell?"
Jin Yahui had difficulty breathing, coughed, and spat, "Dream on."
