Chapter 410 From Underachiever to Top Student

Xia Muran died with extreme resentment. She had done nothing wrong; she had only done poorly on an exam. Why did they beat and verbally abuse her, mocking and ridiculing her? They treated her like a filthy pathogen spreading a fever, wishing they could burn her alive.

Xia Muran harbored deep resentment, especially towards Wei Hongfang, the school's dean of students. Her tragedy stemmed from Wei Hongfang's baseless speculation. Xia Muran hated her to the core, wishing she could skin her alive, tear her bones to dust. But what she truly wanted was to repay Wei Hongfang in kind; she wanted Wei Hongfang to suffer every hardship Xia Muran had endured.

"OK, got it."

Ji Xiaoxiao suddenly stood up, looked up and shouted, "Wei Hongfang, you son of a bitch!"

Ji Xiaoxiao's shout was full of energy, which surprised the onlookers downstairs.

"Is she insane?"

"He's gone mad." His tone was so certain, as if he were a miracle doctor with miraculous healing abilities.

Ji Xiaoxiao looked down at the seven-story teaching building; she really looked tiny.

Ji Xiaoxiao was quite surprised that this was the first time someone had attempted suicide by jumping off a building.

A student jumping off a building is a major incident, and teachers and school leaders rushed to the scene.

The original owner's homeroom teacher, Ms. Zhao, looked up and reached out to adjust her glasses. "Xia Muran."

This child, this child!

Teacher Zhao was so anxious that she didn't know what to do.

"Ms. Zhao, she's a student in your class?" the school leader asked, displeased. "How do you manage your class? How could a perfectly healthy student go and jump off a building?"

A student's suicide could affect this year's college entrance examination pass rate.

The school leaders angrily rebuked Teacher Zhao, saying that if he didn't handle this matter well, he wouldn't need to come to the school anymore.

Teacher Zhao complained bitterly, claiming he was innocent and that the culprit was Director Wei Hongfang. Teacher Zhao spoke frankly, stating directly that the child upstairs was named Xia Muran.

Xia Muran!

The school leaders turned to look behind them and saw a middle-aged woman around fifty years old with a pale face, bulging eyes, and trembling legs, clearly frightened.

"Director Wei, if something goes wrong, you will have to take full responsibility."

The Xia Muran incident is big news at the school recently, and even the school leaders have heard about it. Xia Muran is an uneducated, unambitious, and troublesome student who is obsessed with dating and pursuing beautiful women. His exam results are abysmal.

I heard that her parents were furious and disappointed in her, so they came to the school to pick Xia Muran up. Before leaving the school, they beat Xia Muran in public, slapping her face and kicking her in the stomach, to teach her a lesson in blood and make sure that she would be a good student in the future, attend classes properly, listen attentively, and stop doing those messy things.

Xia Muran had just returned a few days ago, and now such a big thing has happened. The school leaders who have risen to this level have honed their skills to a high degree of fabrication, far surpassing the upright and incorruptible Wei Hongfang.

"Vice Principal, this is a matter of life and death, how could you say such a thing?" Wei Hongfang hurriedly took out her phone and frantically dialed xxx's number.

The vice principal, embarrassed by Wei Hongfang's words, snorted and continued to look at Ji Xiaoxiao.

After making the call, Wei Hongfang volunteered to go upstairs to "guide people towards goodness."

"Director Wei, you'd better not go," Teacher Zhao said hurriedly. "I think the last person Xia Muran wants to see right now is you. Going upstairs won't save Xia Muran; it will only provoke her and push her further."

Xia Muran attempted suicide because of Wei Hongfang.

Teacher Zhao spoke eloquently and her analysis was logical and well-founded, so Wei Hongfang stopped in her tracks.

"I can't go. You're Xia Muran's homeroom teacher. Go up there quickly and persuade that child to come down. It's such a small thing, why is she threatening to kill herself?"

Wei Hongfang did not hold a grudge or feel indignant because of Teacher Zhao's words. She was only concerned about Ji Xiaoxiao's safety. She would do anything, even kneel down, as long as Ji Xiaoxiao could come down.

Teacher Zhao exclaimed "Oh!" and ran upstairs.

Wei Hongfang kept staring at Ji Xiaoxiao. Ji Xiaoxiao was sitting leisurely on the edge of the rooftop. If she leaned forward even slightly, she would fall and shatter into pieces with a bang, blood and flesh flying everywhere... Oh, maybe not.

"Don't jump, don't jump, please don't jump." Wei Hongfang kept praying, her hair, which used to be neatly styled and pinned up, was now disheveled.

The rooftop of the teaching building.

Ji Xiaoxiao swung her legs erratically, looking relaxed; she clearly had no intention of jumping.

"It's about time."

The rooftop door was gently pushed open; the person who entered was very quiet, as if afraid of disturbing her. Ji Xiaoxiao smiled slightly, thinking, "I was afraid you wouldn't come."

“Teacher Zhao.” Ji Xiaoxiao turned around, her eyes brimming with tears.

Teacher Zhao paused, "Muran, come down quickly."

Ji Xiaoxiao bit her lip and cried, "Teacher Zhao, why should I go down? Why should I go down and continue to be framed? ostracized by my classmates? Disliked by my teachers? Beaten and scolded by my parents? Teacher Zhao, I am a person too, I feel pain too."

Ji Xiaoxiao suddenly stood up, startling Teacher Zhao, who quickly reached out her hand.

"Muran, don't get agitated, don't get agitated," Teacher Zhao said. "Teacher knows, teacher knows everything."

Ji Xiaoxiao was slightly taken aback. "You know? Since you know, why don't you help me clarify? I didn't compete with my classmates in terms of clothing and appearance. I didn't date. My grades were bad that time because there was a lot of teaching content and the teaching speed was fast. I didn't have time to absorb and make it my own. I only remembered most of the knowledge points in a general way."

"You're bad, you're just as bad as everyone else."

"Waaah..." Ji Xiaoxiao sobbed uncontrollably. "You know, you know, why didn't you help me? Teacher Zhao, do you know how much pain and suffering I've endured? Just because of one sentence from Director Wei, my parents almost beat me to death. I had no dignity as a human being; they dragged me away from the school in front of everyone. Do you still remember the looks in their eyes—the contempt, the mockery, the gloating, the indifference, the bystander's indifference? Teacher, look at me, look at these wounds. If I don't die, am I supposed to stay here and suffer?"
