"Let's begin!"
Without any hesitation, Mo Yunkuang stood up...
Some things will be rewarded if you put in the effort.
Three days later, Mo's Group's stock price showed signs of recovery.
Mo Yun was overjoyed but also worried, while Yu Liang's mother, Bai Feng, was furious.
A few days ago, the stock price of the Mo Group plummeted, teetering on the brink of collapse. But in the blink of an eye, like parched land receiving timely rain, and like flowers and grasses blooming anew in the spring breeze, the Mo Group has been revitalized.
"Someone is working against me."
Bai Feng ordered his men to investigate, and they followed the clues to uncover Yu Hai's misdeeds.
Is Yu Hai plotting a rebellion?
Unable to uncover the mastermind behind it all, Bai Feng was angry because someone was blocking her path. She, Bai Feng, had always gotten whatever she wanted, and there were only a few people she was powerless against. For a mere nobody to obstruct her efforts to save her son was truly courting death. However, upon learning that the nobody was Yu Hai, her husband's younger brother, Bai Feng calmed down.
The Yu family wielded immense power, and few could resist their temptations.
If Yu Hai's actions this time have a deeper meaning, Bai Feng has no choice but to take them seriously.
The Yu family ancestral home.
The matriarch's face was solemn, and the servants trembled with fear.
"Madam, the Second Master is back."
Bai Feng nodded and looked towards the doorway. A tall figure slowly approached, his face smiling and his aura gentle, giving people a comfortable feeling like a spring breeze.
"Sister-in-law," Yu Hai said respectfully.
Bai Feng nodded and invited them to sit down.
"Sister-in-law, what brings you back to the ancestral home today?" Beating around the bush wasn't Yu Hai's style; if there was anything unclear, just ask directly.
Bai Feng had a servant bring over a cup of tea and asked, "What has Second Uncle been busy with these days?"
"Nothing much, just found a new toy, it's really fun and interesting."
Yu Hai revealed a hint of genuine emotion, and the tea tasted slightly sweeter.
Bai Feng asked, "The Mo family?"
Yu Hai understood immediately, realizing that "the new toy belongs to the Mo family," which was why he offered his help.
Bai Feng's doubts were resolved, but the unease lingered in her heart. She didn't trust Yu Hai; Yu Hai was always cautious, and it was unlikely that he hadn't investigated who was secretly sabotaging the Mo family before taking action.
There's a conspiracy.
Whether it was just her wild speculation or something real, Bai Feng had no intention of letting Yu Hai off the hook. She would eliminate any dangerous element that threatened her son's rule over the family.
"Second Uncle, it was I who caused the Mo family to go bankrupt," Bai Feng said bluntly.
Yu Hai was slightly taken aback, and some tea spilled from the teacup in his hand. The tea was scalding hot, and Yu Hai gasped, his hand instantly turning red and swollen.
"Sister-in-law, why are you making things difficult for a small family for no reason?" Yu Hai's face was unfriendly, and his tone was sharp and accusatory, as he accused Bai Feng of bullying the weak.
Bai Feng retorted, "I have no idea when my Yu family became a charity." The amount of money Yu Hai invested to rescue the crisis-ridden Mo Group was astronomical.
"Sow good seeds and reap good fruit; good people live long lives." Yu Hai said, "Sister-in-law, you have caused tens of thousands of people to lose their jobs to support their families just because of your own selfishness. This sin and this crime should perhaps be shared by Yu Liang."
Good people live long lives, but she did evil deeds, and Yu Liang is supposed to share half of the blame for her? Isn't that indirectly cursing her son to die a horrible death?
Yu Liang is Bai Feng's Achilles' heel, an Achilles' heel that no one can touch.
"Get out." Bai Feng pointed to the door.
Yu Hai smiled slightly, "Sister-in-law, I'll come back sooner or later."
Since things have come to this point, there's no need to tear things apart anymore.
“This is my son’s Yu family home. You, Yu Hai, should not covet what does not belong to you.”
"I am also a member of the Yu family, and the things in the Yu family should be occupied by the capable."
Bai Feng jumped to her feet, "Daydreaming."
"I wonder if you've ever heard the phrase 'dreams come true' before, sister-in-law?"
Yu Hai didn't dwell on it any longer. This time he left the main house, but the next time he came, it would belong to him, Yu Hai.
Having prepared for over a decade, Yu Hai was confident of complete victory.
People are in high spirits when they have a happy occasion, so Yu Hai called Mo Yunkuang over to celebrate together.
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, a brand new day begins.
"Dress nicely today, I'm taking you to a banquet tonight," Yu Hai said suddenly, straightening his tie in front of the mirror.
Mo Yun gripped the bedsheets tightly, her eyes slightly red. "A banquet?"
"It will be very beneficial for you, as you will be able to meet more people," Yu Hai said with a smile. "They are all important figures, people at a level you would never normally have the opportunity to meet."
Having more friends means having more options – that's a good thing!
That evening, Mo Yunkuang attended the event in full regalia.
The banquet was held in a mysterious manor. Mo Yunkuang and Yu Hai entered side by side. Inside the hall, glasses clinked and laughter filled the air.
"Yu Hai, who is this?" someone came over to greet him.
Yu Hai was familiar with that person and whispered Mo Yunkuang's identity in his ear.
"Is that so? That's pretty good." The man commented on Mo Yunkuang. "How about ten million?"
Yu Hai smiled and refused, "Do you think I'm short of that little bit of money?"
The man wasn't angry; he simply remembered Mo Yunkuang.
What you can't have always seems more alluring.
Mo Yunkuang smiled stiffly as he accompanied Yu Haizhou among the important figures.
Wow!
The crowd suddenly became agitated.
"Young Master Yu Liang has arrived," someone said with envy.
