Chapter 457 The Silly Brother's Sister Part 8 (Mutual Ridicule, Please Add to Favorites) - Second Update

The spatula stopped stirring, and the vegetables and meat continued to heat on one side, sizzling and producing thick smoke, with a pungent smell of burning.

Ji Xiaoxiao took a few steps back; the smell of cooking oil made her feel nauseous.

Covering her nose, Ji Xiaoxiao said, "Impossible! Are you kidding me?"

Ji Xiaoxiao was deeply troubled. She tried her best to recall every detail of her life after she transmigrated to this world, but she found no trace of herself engaging in any ghostly activities.

She is completely innocent!

“Impossible, this child is yours,” Ji Xiaoxiao said firmly.

The security guard turned off the gas and turned the range hood on to its highest setting. After a few buzzing sounds, the misty, enchanting atmosphere in the kitchen cleared up, revealing a bright and peaceful space.

"It really is yours, I swear, I didn't cheat on you."

"Heaven sees all," Ji Xiaoxiao swore to the heavens that she would remain faithful.

The security guard put down his spatula, ladled a bowl of water into the iron pot, and with a loud splash, Ji Xiaoxiao realized that she wouldn't be able to have a proper meal today.

"It's not mine." The security guard walked past Ji Xiaoxiao, paused, and said softly.

Ji Xiaoxiao turned around and grabbed the security guard's hand, saying, "I didn't do anything wrong to you."

"If that's the case, then you're not pregnant." Only if Ji Xiaoxiao's pregnancy is a joke or a farce can it prove that Ji Xiaoxiao is faithful to their marriage.

The security guard's gaze fell on Ji Xiaoxiao's stomach, his expression a mixture of conflict, pain, and anger.

Ji Xiaoxiao took out a pregnancy test and shoved it right in front of the security guard's eyes. "Two lines, it's true, I'm pregnant."

The security guard pursed his lips and strode away from the house.

Ji Xiaoxiao smashed the pregnancy test and sat in the living room, fuming and lost in thought.

Time flew by, and the security guard didn't return home all night.

The next morning, Ji Xiaoxiao touched her belly and went downstairs for breakfast.

Ding-dong.

The elevator doors opened, and the security guard happened to be standing at the elevator entrance, holding a plastic bag containing some breakfast items such as steamed buns.

At this moment, there were only the two of them on the first floor.

"I bought breakfast." The security guard stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for [12].

The elevator doors slowly closed, and the sudden upward feeling of weightlessness made Ji Xiaoxiao stagger. The security guard didn't support her as usual; he kept his head down, lost in thought.

Ji Xiaoxiao held her breath, and in the cramped elevator, the pungent smell of alcohol made her feel nauseous. Her face turned deathly pale.

"Ugh." Ji Xiaoxiao clutched her chest and dry heaved.

I didn't eat dinner or breakfast, thankfully I didn't eat anything.

Four or five seconds later, the elevator stopped.

The two went outside, and Ji Xiaoxiao took out her key to open the door.

The security guard placed the plastic bag on the restaurant table and turned to go into the bedroom.

Splash!

Judging from the sound of water, they must be taking a bath.

Ji Xiaoxiao opened the bag, inside was a bowl of lean meat porridge and two custard buns.

"Hmph, I'll forgive you this time."

Ji Xiaoxiao angrily drank the hot porridge, her stomach felt warm and cozy, and after a hard night's work, sleepiness instantly washed over her.

After yawning, Ji Xiaoxiao went into the bedroom.

Before she knew it, the security guard had finished showering and was lying on the bed in his pajamas. Ji Xiaoxiao nudged him, and he moved aside. Ji Xiaoxiao then drifted off to sleep.

"The child is truly yours."

The security guard probably heard Ji Xiaoxiao's mutterings.

She slept soundly and for a long time. When Ji Xiaoxiao woke up, it was already dusk. She turned her head to look beside her, but the bed was empty. She reached out and touched it; it was cold.

"Where did he go?" Ji Xiaoxiao washed her face and searched the house inside and out, but still couldn't find any trace of the security guard.

After waiting for nearly an hour, Ji Xiaoxiao grew impatient and went downstairs to the security booth to check. She asked the security guard's only colleague, who said that the security guard had gone out two hours earlier and he didn't know where he had gone.

"Sis, brother seems very unhappy. Did you two have a fight?"

Ji Xiaoxiao thought about it and realized that they must have had a fight, a silent fight.

"Sister, I've been with my brother for over a year. He's not a talkative person and isn't romantic, but he's a really good guy. Last time, my grandma was seriously ill and needed a lot of money, which our family couldn't afford right away. It was my brother who gave me the money without hesitation, and that's how my grandma got through."

The child went on and on, praising the security guard for a long time, making Ji Xiaoxiao too embarrassed to continue blaming the security guard for being unreasonable.

"I understand, sister."

Ji Xiaoxiao waved her hand, and her slightly disheveled figure quickly disappeared into the distance.

The security guard didn't return that night either.

The next morning, the security guard, carrying a bag of breakfast, turned around and went into his bedroom to shower and sleep without saying a word. Ji Xiaoxiao didn't even have a chance to have a heart-to-heart talk with him.

Half a month passed, and the two grew increasingly distant from each other.

Unable to bear it any longer, Ji Xiaoxiao exploded.

Ji Xiaoxiao rushed into the room and smashed open the bathroom door.

"Let's talk."

Ignoring the security guard's bewildered expression, Ji Xiaoxiao floated away.

On the bed, Ji Xiaoxiao clutched her clothes, her mind in turmoil.

The security guard came out dressed, with a towel over his head, and gently wiped himself.

"What do you want to say?" the security guard asked.

Ji Xiaoxiao said, "How long are you going to keep arguing with me?"

"I'm not arguing with you."

"You didn't cause me any trouble? You didn't come home at night, and you went out early in the morning, completely drunk and reeking of alcohol. You're telling me you didn't cause me any trouble?"

Ji Xiaoxiao recounted the security guard's incompetent actions over the past two weeks.
