"What kind of attitude is this? Is this how you talk to your mother?" Jiang Moyu stood up abruptly, pointed at Ji Xiaoxiao's nose and cursed her, calling Ji Xiaoxiao heartless, ungrateful, and a complete ingrate.
Ji Xiaoxiao silently endured Jiang Moyu's barrage of attacks. Three minutes later, Jiang Moyu, feeling parched, sat down and drank some water to moisten his throat.
"Baoqing, your mother is only doing this for your own good," Xie Yirun said, acting as a peacemaker.
Ji Xiaoxiao frowned, puzzled. "For my own good? Dad, you and Mom are both teachers, you know the principles without me having to explain them. Your husband cheated on you and had an illegitimate child, and you made the victim endure it again and again. Isn't that encouraging bad behavior? I've taken your classes before, and you said that we should stand up for what's wrong and promote truth, goodness, and beauty. But now, I really doubt whether you're qualified to be teachers."

"You've disappointed your mother so much." Jiang Moyu said angrily, slapping Ji Xiaoxiao across the face.
