Chapter 91 The Seventh Martial Arts Master

Within the imperial palace grounds, the exceptional status and supreme nobility of its owners were evident everywhere. Red walls and green tiles, carved beams and jade pillars, majestic palaces, pavilions and towers, people coming and going, adorned with gold and silver. Every detail was exquisitely flawless, inspiring genuine awe and wonder.

Ji Xiaoxiao stood at the center of the formation, completely focused on dealing with the ever-approaching imperial guards. Each guard was burly, with a ferocious expression, and possessed extraordinary martial arts skills. Ji Xiaoxiao parted her lips slightly, softly preparing a devastating attack.

White lotus petals drifted down like a shower of blossoms, dancing and swirling in the air, creating a breathtaking scene that seemed like a celestial being descending to earth, instantly eclipsing the world. A delicate, intoxicating fragrance filled the air, so rich and sweet that a single whiff was enough to make one's life complete.

"A lifetime of love and hate, a lifetime of ups and downs, those we cherish in this life will be strangers in the next—how can we bear to see them all go to waste?" As soon as Ji Xiaoxiao finished speaking, wherever the lotus petals touched, everyone lost their breath and their bodies stiffened, as if they had been dead for a long time.

The imperial guards, maids, and eunuchs who had narrowly escaped death were so shocked that they could not contain themselves, their mouths agape, their pupils reflecting both fear and wonder at the unknown.

Ji Xiaoxiao's lips curled up as she continued, "In this life, I know the events of my past life; my name is etched on the Three Lives Stone. I do not know who she will be in the next life. I will decide the fate for you. The Secret Technique of Reincarnation: Soul Capture and Mind Oblivion."

"Soul-Capturing and Mind-Forgetting" is a unique secret technique cultivated to the seventh cycle of the White Lotus Sacred Art. This technique has the effects of altering memories, obeying commands, and granting unwavering loyalty. Unless the user dies unexpectedly, those deeply afflicted by "Soul-Capturing and Mind-Forgetting" will remain steadfast and resolute until the end of time, their will unchanged and their determination unyielding.

When Ji Xiaoxiao first encountered the concept of "soul-capturing and mind-forgetting," she thought she had misread it. The Heavenly Lotus Holy Sect was a revered and prestigious sect, and its "White Lotus Holy Technique" was considered the foremost martial art by both righteous and demonic martial artists. How could such a perfectly righteous technique be infiltrated by the demonic art of soul-capturing and mind-forgetting? Ji Xiaoxiao was utterly perplexed.

"What comes, comes," Ji Xiaoxiao was a person who took things as they came. The righteous and the demonic paths were irreconcilable, but Ji Xiaoxiao felt nothing about it. If she was a saint, the demonic path would cease to exist. If she was a demoness, the righteous path would decline. She would stand on whichever side she was on.

Shaking her head, Ji Xiaoxiao temporarily set aside her doubts and focused on controlling the imperial guards under the "Soul-Capturing and Mind-Forgetting" spell, issuing orders for them to attack their own people. Swords, spears, and halberds clashed, limbs were severed, and bright red blood flowed incessantly across the two-foot-tall bricks.

With the puppet's generous assistance, Ji Xiaoxiao easily entered the council hall. The hall was resplendent with light and color, featuring obsidian floors, carved dragon and phoenix pillars, and a gleaming golden dragon throne. The assembled officials, subservient to the emperor, were immediately abuzz with excitement upon seeing the young woman slowly approaching on foot.

"Fu Qipan, you're not dead?" After not seeing his biological daughter for a year, Fu Guanjie was neither sad nor worried. He was overjoyed, believing that Ji Xiaoxiao had died and had been eaten by wild beasts, her body incomplete.

Ji Xiaoxiao glanced at him, and Fu Guanjie's court robes immediately caught her eye. She then smiled sneer, "To be an official like you, Fu Guanjie, you truly are a dog!"

The official robes of the Vice Minister of Justice were very conspicuous, and Fu Guanjie's position was quite far back, so it seemed that Fu Guanjie had been demoted. As for adding flowers to brocade, Ji Xiaoxiao knew nothing; but when it came to kicking someone when they were down, Ji Xiaoxiao could come up with many different tricks.

What is honey to one is poison to another; Fu Guanjie’s misfortune is Ji Xiaoxiao’s greatest happiness.

"Look at yourselves, all of you are perfectly decent-looking, so why are you so brainless, trying to kill yourselves by standing next to a dog? If I were your ancestor, I would have crawled out of my coffin long ago and taught you unfilial descendants a lesson. 'One is influenced by one's company,' why don't you understand that?" Ji Xiaoxiao pointed at the assembled civil and military officials on both sides, unleashing a hail of bullets and spears, attacking everyone indiscriminately.

Whether it was because of Ji Xiaoxiao's shocking words or because they deeply sympathized with her unfilial and rebellious nature, everyone present was speechless, hundreds of eyes staring intently at Ji Xiaoxiao. Ji Xiaoxiao exuded an aura of dominance, radiating queenly confidence. She stood tall and proud, neither retreating nor flinching. Her bright and spirited eyes met those of Emperor Li Huiran, who sat high on the dragon throne.

"Are you Fu Aiqing's eldest daughter, Fu Qipan?" Li Huiran was nearly fifty years old. She had worked day and night and her hair was white. At first glance, she looked just like an old man who had lived a farming family for decades.

“I am a human, Fu Guanjie is a dog. Hey, you there, tell me, can a dog give birth to a human?” Ji Xiaoxiao raised an eyebrow, speaking with disdain and sarcasm.

The council hall was unusually large, and Li Huiran was quite a distance from Ji Xiaoxiao. Undeterred, Ji Xiaoxiao approached Li Huiran step by step. Seeing the situation was not going well, the military officers in the court immediately rushed out, intending to stop Ji Xiaoxiao. However, the officers underestimated Ji Xiaoxiao. With just a flick of her sleeve, she struck with the force of her aura, and the nameless officer with the sturdy body crashed into a large pillar.

"Whether you are Fu Guanjie's daughter or not is none of my business, nor do I care. I only ask you, did you massacre innocent civilians on Tongxiang Street a year ago?" Li Huiran's eyes turned cold, and her aura as a superior instantly reverberated throughout the council hall.

Ji Xiaoxiao smiled instead of getting angry. She lightly stomped her foot, her powerful aura overwhelming Li Huiran. "Whether it was my doing or not, justice will prevail. You are the emperor, and this is the capital. What is happening right under your nose that you don't know about?"

"Actually, I have no interest whatsoever in who committed the bloody tragedy on Tongxiang Street. But you shouldn't have tried to pin this mud on me. I, Fu Qipan, am not someone you can just take advantage of." Ji Xiaoxiao continued forward, speaking her heartfelt words as she walked.
