Chapter 487 The Drunken Father (Part 3)

How to treat an inflamed and suppurating wound?

The first and most important step is to break it open and squeeze out the pus.

Similarly, if Ji Xiaoxiao wants Ji Yang to cheer up, she can only force him to accept the fact that Zhou Lan's wife is dead.

"She's dead, her body was burned to ashes," Ji Xiaoxiao said coldly.

Ji Yang jumped up from the bed with a hiss, completely disregarding his nakedness. His eyes widened, his cloudy pupils filled with stubbornness.

“Lanlan is not dead, Lanlan is not dead…” Ji Yang repeated.

Ji Xiaoxiao didn't even look at me, and scoffed, "So what's that little jar hidden under my bed? Can you tell me?"

Ji Yang's eyes darted away. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"have no idea?"

After a pause, Ji Xiaoxiao turned and walked out the door.

"What are you going to do?" Ji Yang had a bad feeling. If he didn't make a move, the most important person to him would leave him.

Ji Xiaoxiao didn't turn her head, and said as she walked, "Since you don't know that little jar, and don't know what's in it, it's just trash, and trash should be thrown away."

Ji Xiaoxiao spoke with absolute certainty, coldness, and a lack of empathy.

Now that things had come to this, Ji Xiaoxiao could only apologize to the original owner's mother. In order to awaken Ji Yang and help him regain his spirits, Ji Xiaoxiao had no choice but to take drastic measures.

"ah."

Ji Yang suddenly shouted, making Ji Xiaoxiao's ears hurt.

"Don't touch it, don't touch it."

Ji Yang pushed Ji Xiaoxiao away like a madman, barged into the original owner's room, and quickly pulled out a small jar from under the bed, holding it tightly in his arms.

"Lanlan, don't be afraid, I'm here, I'm here. As long as I'm here, no one can separate us." Ji Yang lowered his head and kissed the small jar with lingering fear, his mouth full of dust.

Ji Xiaoxiao slowly walked over, coldly watching a person and a jar showing off their affection.

"Ji Yang, Zhou Lan is dead," Ji Xiaoxiao said.

Ji Yang took a step back, bracing himself with both arms as he nervously held the small jar.

"Ji Yang, Zhou Lan is dead." Ji Xiaoxiao took a step forward.

With nowhere left to retreat, Ji Yang leaned against the wall, large tears falling onto the small jar.

"Shut up, Lanlan is not dead, Lanlan is still by my side."

Helplessness, confusion, fear, and heartache intertwined, pushing Ji Yang to the brink of mental collapse.

“But what you’re holding isn’t Zhou Lan, it’s a jar and the ashes inside.” Ji Xiaoxiao pressed on, calmly stating the facts.

Ji Yang didn't speak, and his body slid down the wall.

"Lanlan is not dead," he choked out, sounding as aggrieved as a child without candy.

Ji Xiaoxiao moved lightly and squatted down in front of Ji Yang.

"Dad, Mom is dead," Ji Xiaoxiao said. "Dad, Mom is dead, she's been dead for seventeen years. I beg you, face reality and stop dwelling on the past."

Ji Yang's shoulders trembled, and Ji Xiaoxiao silently embraced him.

Time passed by, and an unusual atmosphere permeated the quiet room.

"Dad," Ji Xiaoxiao called out.

Ji Yang raised his head, his stubble-covered face contorted in a terrifying grimace.

"I don't have a daughter like you. Lanlan is not dead." Ji Yang suddenly pushed Ji Xiaoxiao down with force, staggered, and ran out the door clutching the small jar.

With a loud, jarring bang, the child in bed was awakened. Ji Xiaoxiao quickly patted the child's bottom and expertly soothed him back to sleep.

"Still can't accept the facts?"

Ji Xiaoxiao was not in a hurry. Ji Yang's chronic illness could not be cured by her words, coercion, or inducement alone.

No rush, no rush, take your time.

Ji Xiaoxiao didn't chase after Ji Yang. She let him wander around outside for two or three days until he was tired, sleepy, and hungry, and then he would come back on his own.

...

Two days later.

The sky was overcast, a light drizzle was falling slowly, and a gentle autumn breeze was blowing, bringing a chill to the air.

Ji Xiaoxiao held the baby in one arm and a baby bottle in the other. The baby was eating heartily, its chubby little hands weakly gripping the bottle.

Bang bang bang...

The series of pounding sounds on the door were weak and feeble.

The child stopped drinking milk, pouted, and looked like he was about to cry.

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, Mom is here."

The child felt warm and safe in Ji Xiaoxiao's presence, and with sweet milk from Grandma at his lips, he opened his little mouth and continued to try his best to fill his stomach.

"Open the door, open the door, you brat, open the door for me."

After Ji Yang left, Ji Xiaoxiao immediately changed the door locks.

"Ji Feng, open the door for me, old... Ah Qiu."

It's cold, he's starving, and he needs a warm haven to ward off the chill.

Ji Xiaoxiao continued breastfeeding with a blank expression.

Looking back now, it seems that Ji Yang ran out completely naked.

Autumn moon, cool wind, and cold rain make it the perfect time for colds to spread.

Ji Yang has been an alcoholic for many years and has poor physical health. He may catch a cold from a little rain or wind, but seeing a doctor and spending money on medicine will definitely be a big deal.

Ji Xiaoxiao opened the door, and someone rushed in.

The room was warm, and Ji Yang shivered comfortably.

"Is there anything to eat?" Ji Yang asked.

Ji Xiaoxiao closed the door to block the cold wind from blowing in. Turning around, she saw that Ji Yang looked a little disheveled, but he was more of a sight to behold. He was wearing a suit that accentuated his tall figure, and his beard was clean-shaven, revealing his handsome face.

"You went to sell them again." Ji Xiaoxiao's tone was 100% certain.

The suit was perfectly tailored, custom-made, and even at a reasonable price, it was still astronomical. Ji Yang went out naked, and Ji Xiaoxiao didn't believe he had any special skills like "hiding a grenade in his crotch."
