Ji Xiaoxiao asked her teacher for leave and went with Tie Aimei on her travels. Although she was anxious and restless, Ji Xiaoxiao listened to Tie Aimei's explanation of the whole story as they walked.
When Ji Xiaoxiao started school, the twins initially played and joked as usual. But as night fell, the children, who were used to Ji Xiaoxiao's presence, started clamoring for their older sister.
He wouldn't sleep at night and wouldn't eat in the morning; after a few days, his chubby little face had become thinner. Tie Aimei felt sorry for her son and decided to cook him a big meal to make up for it. Unfortunately, they were out of rice and vegetables, so Tie Aimei asked Qian Cai to look after the twins, and Qian Cai readily agreed.
When Tie Aimei returned from grocery shopping, the house was empty. She assumed Qiancai had taken the twins out visiting neighbors. It wasn't until the evening glow painted the sky and the sun set that Qiancai returned alone, grumbling and cursing. Only then did Tie Aimei realize, belatedly, that something terrible had happened.
"Qiancai, it's Qiancai again! Why doesn't this scumbag just die?" Influenced by the lingering feelings of the original owner, Ji Xiaoxiao wished she could personally twist Qiancai's neck to vent her anger.
People have varying degrees of closeness and distance, and matters have varying degrees of importance and urgency. The most important thing right now is to find the twins; the decision of whether the money is safe or not can be put aside for the time being.
Anxious, Ji Xiaoxiao left school and went door-to-door asking around, but by late at night, she hadn't found anything. Exhausted and heartbroken, Ji Xiaoxiao reluctantly followed Tie Aimei, whose eyes were red and swollen, home.
"Tie Aimei, you lazy woman, where have you been? It's so late and you still haven't cooked dinner. Are you trying to starve me to death?" Qian Cai vented his displeasure at Tie Aimei, who had lost money gambling, on her without saying a word.
The twins were missing, and a day's search yielded no results. The culprit not only showed no remorse but also acted arrogantly in front of her. How could Ji Xiaoxiao tolerate this?
Her body moved first; Ji Xiaoxiao took a few steps to Qiancai, spotted his large belly, and viciously kicked him. Several loud crashes echoed as Qiancai's massive body smashed into a number of pieces of furniture.
