Ocean Park
Ocean Park, also known as Hong Kong Ocean Park, is currently the largest theme park in Hong Kong.
Its original form was actually a marine research institute established by the Hong Kong government in the 1970s to protect the marine ecology.
It has been growing and developing since its establishment. Its original intention was to attract Hong Kong citizens to participate in some marine research projects and promote awareness of protecting the ocean. As more and more people come here, it is becoming more and more popular.
Therefore, the Hong Kong government took advantage of the situation and gradually developed Ocean Park from a simple research institution into a comprehensive theme park.
"...There are several pavilions in Ocean Park, all with different themes. We can go in and take a look during our free time."
"Also, this Ocean Theater says you can watch performances featuring various marine animals. I'm also curious about what kind of animal performances you can see."
"Ocean Park Tower sounds interesting, don't you think? It's said that standing on this 70-meter-high tower, you can see beautiful views of Hong Kong. I must go up and take a good look!"
On the bus way to Hong Kong Park, Jian Jianan and Cai Chengyu sat together. From the moment they got on the bus, Jian Jianan chattered non-stop to Cai Chengyu about the information about Hong Kong Park.
Cai Chengyu laughed out loud. "Nannan, you didn't memorize the whole book, did you? You seem so familiar with every scenic spot. Did you stay up late last night to memorize it?"
Jian Jianan waved her hand and denied it: "No, no, isn't this something you will remember after looking at it for a while? Why do you need to spend so much effort to memorize it?" She was still studying late into the night. She was not that stupid brother!
Cai Chengyu: “…”
She had nothing to say.
Jian Jianan is showing off his memory, right?
Jian Jianan likes to make a complete plan in advance, and Ocean Park is her top priority on her itinerary!
A comprehensive ocean-themed park sounds like fun.
She must make a perfect plan and have a great time!
Cai Chengyu also benefited from Jian Jianan's help. As soon as they got in the car, they sat together and listened to Jian Jianan tell her about the past and present of the Ocean Park and its most interesting places.
Cai Chengyu was moved as he listened, and couldn't help but ask Jian Jianan, "A tall tower? Do you know if there are any other small buildings in the park that are less visited? The kind that aren't so eye-catching?"
After hearing this, Jian Jianan restrained his originally cheerful expression, took a good look at Cai Chengyu, and asked for confirmation: "Sister Xiaoyu, are you going on a date with that person?" That's why she asked him if there were any other quiet places in the Ocean Park suitable for a date.
She asked this question in a low voice. If Cai Chengyu's ear hadn't been right next to hers, she might not have been able to hear it.
Cai Chengyu felt quite embarrassed when she realized that Jian Jianan had exposed her thoughts. "I haven't confirmed it yet. I just said that as a thought, that's all!"
They had been out together for so many days and were in the same tour group. They saw each other everywhere. They were obviously a couple, but for special reasons, they were wary of others like thieves, always worried that they would be discovered by accident.
There will definitely be a day when repression will explode.
Cai Chengyu thought that the Ocean Park was such a big place, and the two of them could definitely find a place, preferably a corner where no one would notice them, to talk to each other about their true feelings.
She really wanted to share such a beautiful scenery with Gao Liuqi!
After Jian Jianan found out, he looked embarrassed and said disapprovingly, "That's not good. Aren't you afraid of being discovered by others? Although Ocean Park is sparsely populated and not many people go there on weekdays, there are plenty of secluded places. But if you're not careful, you might be discovered in any corner. If someone finds out what's going on between you and Gao Liuqi, wouldn't it be like triggering a war between the two families?"
Cai Chengyu sighed anxiously, "That's exactly what I'm worried about, but Gao Liuqi and I haven't spoken to each other in ages. If we don't see each other again, I'm afraid I'll suffocate to death!"
They didn't dare to be too obvious in school, but they would still exchange letters during breaks. In short, there was still some contact. However, after traveling to Hong Kong, they were under the watchful eyes of their two mothers after all, so they really didn't dare to do anything out of the ordinary, and even had very little eye contact.
Especially after Jian Jianan knew about the relationship between the two of them, he had not made any eye contact with them, for fear that they would be discovered by accident.
Jian Jianan sighed. She understood Cai Chengyu's thoughts. Although she had said everything she needed to say, judging from Cai Chengyu's expression, she would not give up this idea.
So Jian Jianan could only tell her which places in his research met the conditions for a secret date, and at the end he kindly advised: "Although these places are hidden enough and you can find a corner without being discovered, who can say for sure about such things? If possible, you'd better endure it. It's best not to have any contact alone in Ocean Park!"
Cai Chengyu absentmindedly nodded repeatedly and hurriedly memorized a few places that Jian Jianan had told her. Seeing her like this, Jian Jianan knew that she definitely didn't take his words to heart, so he could only shake his head helplessly and pray in his heart that their affair would not be accidentally discovered by others.
But what you fear will come to pass. The matter between Cai Chengyu and Gao Liuqi was kept secret for several months thanks to the efforts of the parties involved, but they did not expect that it would be exposed because of this short eight-day journey.
The bus soon arrived at Hong Kong Ocean Park. The tour guide Xiao Zhou stood up and distributed tickets and tour brochures to everyone, and also told everyone some precautions.
"I'll lead everyone through the ticket gate into Ocean Park. Once inside, it's free time for everyone to go wherever they want. You don't have to wait for me to lead you. There are many places to visit here. You can check out the brochure I'll give you. The fun places are all marked. I personally highly recommend the following places."
"The Sky Tower, Ferris Wheel, Ocean Theatre, and Exhibition Hall are all unique features of Ocean Park Hong Kong. A must-see when visiting Ocean Park..."
Jian Jianan and Cai Chengyu were whispering to each other while looking at the guidebook. Cai Chengyu praised Jian Jianan, "Nannan, you were absolutely right to do your homework. Look, many of the places you just mentioned are in this guidebook, and they're even five-star recommended spots!"
Jian Jianan smiled proudly: "Of course I have searched many newspapers and books to collect this information!"
The bus came to a complete stop, and it was time for the group members to get off. Jian Jianan said goodbye to Cai Chengyu. Suddenly, she remembered something and turned back to Cai Chengyu and said seriously, "Sister Xiaoyu, if you still insist on meeting Gao Liuqi secretly somewhere alone, you must be careful. Also, if anything unexpected happens and you need my help, I will definitely come if you call me!"
Cai Chengyu nodded. If there was anything he gained from this trip to Hong Kong, it would definitely be the friendship of Jian Jianan, which would be recorded in his life notebook.
Cai Chengyu said with emotion: "Okay, I will remember your words. Have fun and enjoy yourself!"
When Jian Jianan saw that Cai Chengyu agreed to his request, he got off the car with peace of mind and went to meet up with his parents and brother.
The family quickly followed the tour guide Xiao Zhou and entered the Ocean Park with their tickets. After a few words, the tour guide Xiao Zhou announced that the tour group would be temporarily disbanded and would gather at the gate at 6 pm. They would be taken back to the hotel by bus for dinner, which would be eaten near the hotel.
Everyone cheered and then dispersed to go and play the activities that interested them.
Jian Jianan walked at the front, guidebook in hand, constantly urging his family to hurry up. "Come on, Mom and Dad, hurry up! The next show at the Ocean Theater is in twenty minutes. If we miss this one, we'll have to wait another hour and a half!"
As soon as she entered the park gate, she took a careful look. Many of the exhibitions here are divided into time periods and have reasonable and clear time plans.
The Ocean Park is so big and has so many attractions that one day is not enough for her. She has to plan her itinerary well and arrange her time reasonably so that she can complete all the attractions she is interested in within one day.
Su Qinxuan and Jian Yangping were watching from behind and found it funny to see their son and daughter running fast arm in arm in front of them. However, in order not to ruin their children's good mood, they also quickened their pace.
The family hurried and finally got in when the theater door was closed. Jian Jianan looked around and found that none of the members of the first group had come. They were the only family in the Ocean Theater at this time. They might have gone to other places of interest.
What Jian Jianan didn't know was that at this moment, outside the gate of the Ocean Theater, Gao Chunlai and his mother Gao Liuqi were running over panting, but were stopped outside by the tightly closed gate and were turned away.
"It's all your fault! Why can't you run faster?" Gao Chunlai wiped the sweat from his head and kept complaining to his son beside him.
Gao Liuqi's face turned red from running too fast, but he didn't even dare to breathe. He just lowered his head and didn't dare to refute his mother's words, as if he agreed.
Jian Jianan and his family sat down in the ocean theater, and the animal show soon appeared in front of them.
The audience around him was so excited that their applause was like thunder in the small space.
Jian Jianan's brows were furrowed as he watched, and he didn't have the interested look of the audience next to him at all.
Seals, dolphins and sea lions, these marine creatures rarely seen in inland cities are now being trained by their trainers to perform various actions. Spinning around and clapping, these anthropomorphic actions that only humans can do, look very cute on the small animals, but Jian Jianan is not happy at all.
"Hahaha! This is so cute!"
Jian Jiabei was so happy that he was swaying in his seat, his hands almost swollen from clapping! But when he turned around, he saw his sister looking unhappy and downhearted.
"What's going on?" Jian Jiabei asked worriedly.
Jian Jianan shook his head, indicating that he was fine, "I'm fine, brother, you continue watching, I just thought of other things."
She had some thoughts in her mind, but she didn't want to say them out loud now and ruin her brother's hard-earned good mood. She would talk about it later when she had the chance!
In fact, she felt quite uncomfortable watching these creatures that should have belonged to the ocean doing all sorts of seemingly cute actions at the request of humans. Even though Jian Jianan didn't know the professional knowledge of later generations about how much harm would be caused to marine animals trapped in a closed place, she already felt uncomfortable naturally.
After watching the animal show, when the Jian Jianan family came out of the Ocean Theater, they happened to meet Cai Duoyan and her daughter who were queuing at the door waiting to enter.
The two families greeted each other warmly as soon as they met.
Cai Duoyan: "How did you guys get here so quickly? Did you go straight here as soon as you came in? You're really smart and planned it out clearly. Unlike us, we had to wait outside for an hour before we could get in."
Su Qinxuan: "My daughter likes to arrange the family's life in a clear and precise manner. It's an old habit!"
While the two mothers were talking, Jian Jianan inadvertently saw Gao Chunlai and his mother at the end of the team.
They lined up with grim expressions on their faces. Gao Chunlai fanned himself with his hands to cool himself down. He leaned sideways and talked to Gao Liuqi without stopping for a moment. One could tell from Gao Liuqi's face that he was not saying anything nice.
The two families were walking in the same place, and Cai Chengyu had told him that they should find a secret place to meet up when no one was paying attention. When Jian Jianan thought of this, he suddenly had a bad idea in his mind.
This little episode was quickly forgotten by Jian Jianan, and the family quickly went to the next location.
It is also a place that all four of them are interested in - the aquarium.
Under the four-story glass curtain wall, the sea water forms another sky. Jellyfish and tropical fish seem to fly across this water curtain sky. The indoor aquarium is dim and the lighting is poor, so people can better appreciate the wonders that belong only to the ocean.
After all, the two adults had experienced many ups and downs and had broad horizons. Apart from the initial momentary surprise, they did not take it seriously and instead paid attention to their two children.
When they saw the changes in light and shadow on the brother and sister's faces caused by the flying stingray, and their simultaneous exclamations of surprise, Su Qinxuan and Jian Yangping looked at each other and laughed out loud, with satisfaction on their faces.
The two of them have been working hard all the way until now, still resolving customer disputes at five in the morning. In order not to delay the next day's work schedule, they can only sleep two hours a day. Isn't it all for this moment?
Let the two children enjoy life without distraction, do whatever they are interested in when they grow up, and provide a good future for them before they are fully grown, isn’t this the biggest wish that the couple has been working hard for until today?
This is what their whole family is working hard for.
Jian Jianan's family of four had a great time in the park. After watching the performance at the animal theater and visiting the indoor aquarium in the morning, they felt a little hungry and went to a restaurant to eat.
Jian Jianan took the navigation map and led his family to the Penguin Restaurant.
"Here you can watch all kinds of penguins eating all year round. This unique experience is something you can't enjoy anywhere else!"
Because it is a theme park, the prices of things sold inside are naturally much more expensive than outside. A good fast food meal outside costs about five or six Hong Kong dollars, but inside the park, a pork chop rice and a cup of hot cocoa will cost more than ten dollars, almost double the price.
Jian Jiabei couldn't help but turn his head away when he saw his parents paying, thinking out of sight, out of mind.
Jian Jianan knew it without even asking, that his brother had accidentally fallen into Grandet's miserly nature again and was stingy with money!
When the meal was served, he was the one who enjoyed the meal the most.
Jian Jianan really enjoyed himself while eating the hot meal and watching the cute little penguins playing around!
After dinner, they played in the park for a while. In the afternoon, when the sun was about to set, Jian Jianan took his family to the bottom of the Ferris wheel and lined up for a ride.
“The Ferris wheel is perfect for nighttime fun! It stays at its highest point for several minutes, allowing you to admire the night view of Hong Kong. It’s a highly recommended attraction for everyone who’s been to Ocean Park!”
"It's winter now and it gets dark early. It's okay to go early, otherwise it will be pitch dark and it won't be suitable to continue playing in the park!"
Jian Jiabei scoffed at this: "Ferris wheels are something you kids like to play with. I'm a grown-up now, and it's no longer suitable for me."
Although he said so, when he arrived at the queue, Jian Jiabei still took a long step and stood at the front of the line.
Four people followed the long queue and sat in the Ferris wheel cabin. It gradually rose to the highest point, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the whole Hong Kong.
They stood together, shoulder to shoulder, like the best family. As long as they were united and stood together, no matter what storms lay ahead, nothing could knock them down.
The Ferris wheel rose to the highest point and would stay there for three minutes. Jian Jianan looked down and saw a sea of light lighting up one after another. It was a beautiful sight he had never seen before.
Natural mountains and waters can naturally bring people aesthetic enjoyment, but man-made products can also give people a sense of beauty.
This is a creation that belongs only to humans. When the sun sets and the darkness falls, a large area of light and shadow suddenly appears. No one can help but hold their breath and be immersed in it.
When three minutes were up, the Ferris wheel started rotating from the bottom very punctually. The four people had the same feeling in their minds: why couldn't time stop at this moment!
Even Jian Jiabei, who had just boarded the Ferris wheel, was now a little unsatisfied. He kept looking back, as if he wanted to ride it again.
Jian Jianan deliberately repeated what he had just said in front of him: "Only children like to play with these things. You are an adult, so you don't like them. My memory is a little bad. Brother, can you help me recall who said this just now?"
Jian Jiabei patted his sister gently, signaling her not to act weird. Unexpectedly, when he glanced back unintentionally, two people who shouldn't be together accidentally caught his eye.
Huh?
How could it be these two people?
Jian Jiabei rubbed his eyes as if he didn't believe it.
Jian Jianan noticed his abnormal behavior and looked at his brother strangely.
"What's wrong with you? Are your eyes uncomfortable?" Jian Jianan asked concernedly.
Jian Jiabei shook his head. "My eyes are fine, but I suspect I'm seeing things. Could they be from our group? They look like Cai Chengyu and Gao Liuqi?"
Jian Jiabei's face was full of disbelief. Although he disdained to get involved in other people's family affairs and avoided any gossip, he could feel the undercurrent between Gao Chunlai and Cai Duoyan during this short journey of just a few days.
No, it can't even be called an undercurrent, it's all out in the open. If there weren't other group members here, they wouldn't even restrain themselves a bit.
Jian Jianan's heart moved, and she immediately knew the whole story. She didn't even need to think about it, she knew that the young couple must have sneaked to the Ferris wheel to hide from others and avoid other people's sight, wanting to enjoy some sweet time alone with just the two of them.
But these two people are too careless!
Didn't I remind Cai Chengyu this morning that she must be more careful and that she would never go wrong if she thought carefully about everything? How come even her brother, who has the dullest eyes and the most relaxed mind, has seen the actions of these two people?
As Cai Chengyu's new friend and the only member of the group who knows her secret, Jian Jianan has to cover for her immediately.
Jian Jiabei wanted to turn around to see if he had made a mistake. He had just seen the two of them acting very intimately. Could it be that...
Jian Jianan immediately stretched out both hands and pressed her brother's head so that she could only look at him and could not turn.
"Brother, you must have seen it wrong. You slept very late last night and didn't catch up on sleep today, so you're very tired. You must be tired and your eyes are blurry. Although it's only been a few days, you know the relationship between Cai Duoyan and Gao Chunlai. It's not an exaggeration to say that they are enemies. How could their two children be together, and so close? You must have seen it wrong!"
Jian Jiabei wanted to break free, but he didn't know what medicine his sister had taken, but her grip suddenly became so strong that he couldn't break free even after twisting his head several times.
Jian Jianan observed the movements of Cai Chengyu and the other person out of the corner of his eye, and saw that they had already boarded the Ferris wheel. Even if Jian Jiabei turned around now, he couldn't see clearly, so he breathed a sigh of relief and put his hand down.
Jian Jiabei, who suddenly gained the freedom to turn around, did not turn back immediately. Otherwise, how could he say that his brother was a creature with single-minded thinking? He was about to quarrel with his sister because of Jian Jianan's restriction of his movements!
Jian Jianan breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that he had been in the wrong just now, so he rarely argued with his brother, but instead begged for mercy with a smile on his face.
Jian Jiabei was still wondering why his sister was so easy to talk to today, but since he had finally won back a victory, of course he had to press on with the victory.
Today's happy trip to Ocean Park ended perfectly. The family planned to take a walk in the park for a while and then go back to the place agreed with the tour guide Xiao Zhou. It was almost time to meet up, so it would be convenient to take a walk along the main road of the park.
By this calculation, they can still stay in the Ocean Park for another half an hour.
Unexpectedly, when the family was walking slowly along the path in the park to the meeting place, they met Cai Duoyan, who looked anxious and even panicked.
As soon as she saw Jian Jianan and the other three, she immediately came over, not even bothering to exchange pleasantries. She hurriedly asked, "Didn't you see my daughter? Did you see Xiaoyu on the way here just now?"
Um?
Cai Chengyu? What happened to her?
Jian Jianan recalled the scene he and his brother saw on the Ferris wheel, but did not speak immediately.
Jian Jiabei answered hesitantly: "Auntie, I think I saw Sister Xiaoyu over there at the Ferris wheel just now." Although he didn't know the relationship between Cai Chengyu and Gao Liuqi, he had a natural intuition that this matter must not be told now, otherwise it would upset Aunt Cai.
And maybe I was seeing things wrong.
Cai Duoyan immediately thanked her and turned to leave. As she left, a hurried "thank you" was heard from afar behind her.
She was always so respectable that she didn't even bother to say goodbye in order to find her daughter!
Jian Jianan immediately realized that something was beyond his expectations. Su Qinxuan and Jian Yangping also had gloomy faces. They quickened their pace and rushed to the meeting place first, wanting to know what had happened.
Jian Jianan and his family had just arrived at the agreed meeting place. The first person who caught their eyes was the tour guide Xiao Zhou. He was pacing anxiously, contacting someone with the pager in his hand, talking non-stop, and looking very anxious.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the family of four coming.
The outspoken Mrs. Zhao stepped forward and said to Jian Jianan, "Oh my God, I'm glad your family is okay. Do you know where Cai Chengyu is?"
Su Qinxuan replied: "No, we didn't see Xiaoyu anywhere along the way."
Mrs. Zhao clapped her hands and shouted, "Oh my God! What should we do? Your family didn't see Cai Chengyu, and we didn't see Cai Chengyu either. So where is Cai Chengyu now?"
"Her mother said that in the last hour, she and her daughter were free to move around the park and had agreed to meet here at this time. But after waiting here for so long and still no one saw her daughter, her mother became anxious and insisted that something must have happened to her daughter and she wanted to go find her herself!"
Jian Jianan finally understood the whole story. When their family saw Cai Duoyan on the way back to the city, she was anxiously looking for her daughter, and it seemed that she had not found her yet.
When Su Qinxuan heard about this situation, she immediately became anxious. Even if she and Cai Duoyan did not get along well and had a bad relationship, she would still have to help.
What's more, if you put yourself in her shoes, if her daughter was missing or something happened to her, she might be even more anxious and crazy than Cai Duoyan.
After Xiao Zhou finished contacting his superior, he hung up the phone and returned to his group members, wanting to say something.
Jian Yangping immediately stepped forward and offered, "Cai Chengyu's disappearance is a serious matter, and she's still a minor. It's so late now, it wouldn't be good if something happened to her. Why don't we go look for her together? We can mobilize the masses. There's strength in numbers, and we'll definitely be able to help."
The other tall and strong adult male members also chimed in, "Yes, yes, Comrade Jian Yangping is right. We just got back from playing, and now is the time to get familiar with the group environment. We have a large group, and everyone has a map. Any help we can provide is a big help!"
After hearing what they said, the anxious Xiao Zhou also agreed.
Oh, what is going on? Originally, only Cai Chengyu was missing, but Cai Duoyan also went to look for her daughter. Now everyone has to help find her. If anything happens, how will he explain to his superiors?
Without further ado, everyone went about their business. Before leaving, Jian Jianan casually glanced at Gao Liuqi and his mother.
After learning that Cai Chengyu had mysteriously disappeared, Jian Jianan had been observing Gao Liuqi.
She particularly noticed something wrong. When the tour guide Xiao Zhou said that the weather would be cold after the park closed and that they would probably get frostbite if they couldn't find it, Gao Liuqi became obviously anxious. Complex emotions such as struggle, hesitation, and reluctance flashed across his face. He took a step forward to say something, but was immediately pulled back by his mother Gao Chunlai, who noticed what he was thinking.
Gao Chunlai glared at his son fiercely, blocking all the words he wanted to say.
Jian Jianan keenly noticed this scene and immediately realized that something was wrong. Cai Chengyu's disappearance might be related to Gao Liuqi and his mother.
To speculate even more negatively, perhaps these two people are the culprits behind her disappearance!
Could it be, could it be that Gao Chunlai discovered their secret affair and is taking revenge on them?
Sister Jian Jianan felt a chill when she thought of this. All the Hong Kong crime dramas she had watched flashed through her mind one after another, and her hair stood on end.
But Jian Jianan quickly shook his head, shaking all these unrealistic guesses out of his mind.
Don’t think about these things now. The most urgent thing is to find Sister Xiaoyu as soon as possible.
Oh, right, secret love affair. Jian Jianan followed this line of thought and immediately thought of the conversation with Cai Chengyu in the morning. Didn’t she say that she wanted to find a secluded corner with Gao Liuqi to have a tryst when no one was paying attention?
Thinking of this, Jian Jianan seemed to have found her backbone, and turned around and ran to one place. She already had a goal, and that was to eliminate these remote places suitable for couples to date one by one!
Just do it!
Jian Jiabei shouted anxiously behind her: "Nannan, Nannan, Jian Jianan! Where are you going? Don't get lost. Otherwise, we only need to find Cai Chengyu, but you will be the next missing person!"
But Jian Jianan had already run away quickly, leaving his brother's roar far behind.
Su Qinxuan came forward and patted her son's shoulder, comforting him, "It's okay, it's okay, Nannan knows her limits and won't do anything out of line."
"Besides, think about it, she's been so close to Cai Chengyu lately, it's almost like they've known each other for a long time. Maybe she really does know where Cai Chengyu is and can actually find her!"
Jian Jiabei kept silent, turned around and joined the others in the search for Cai Chengyu, and sincerely hoped that Jian Jianan and Cai Chengyu would return safely in the end.
Jian Jianan searched several places according to his memory, but he didn't see any people, not even a shadow of Cai Chengyu.
She stopped and gasped for breath. This series of runs had consumed most of her strength, and she was almost exhausted and could not run anymore.
Then the only place left is the last one.
I hope I can find Cai Chengyu this time!
Perhaps it was the effect of the incense burned at Qingsong Temple in Hong Kong a few days ago. When Jian Jianan arrived at the last possible location with his last hope, he found a girl with disheveled long hair sitting on the steps in a daze, her head buried deeply in her knees, looking as if she had suffered a major blow!
Jian Jianan rushed over immediately, thinking as he rushed, I finally found you, Sister Xiaoyu!
