Chapter 25: Eight Early and Late

"Fuck, guys, hurry up, get up, it's 7:50, class is almost time!"

Cai Wei, who was woken up by the urge to urinate, went to the bathroom and looked at the time. It was already 7:40.

“Fuck!”

“Fuck!”

"Fuck! Hurry up, get up!"

The university generally stipulates that classes start at 8:00 in the morning, but it is already 7:40, and there are only ten minutes left until class starts.

"Damn you Cai Wei, you dragged us to play Yuanshen yesterday, so we didn't even hear the alarm clock today. Today is the first day of class, and if we are late, the teacher will definitely scold us!"

Zhang Haoxuan was running to the classroom while cursing.

Originally they were planning to go to bed early last night, but Cai Wei, that idiot, couldn't beat the boss with his Yuanshen, so he dragged them to fight with him.

As a result, they played until two or three in the morning, so they didn't hear the alarm clock this morning.

"Stop yelling, stop yelling! I know I'm wrong, hurry up and go to the classroom! I don't want to have my attendance points deducted!"

Everyone in dormitory 634 was running at full speed. Even a 100-meter sprint was not as dynamic as this.

The boys' dormitory is some distance away from the teaching building area. It takes about 15 minutes to walk there, and it takes five or six minutes to run there. The key is to climb the stairs.

It was not until 7:40 that Cai Wei asked them to get up, fold the quilts and wash up, which took another three minutes.

This left them with only about seven minutes to get to the classroom.

They went down the dormitory building by jumping up and down five or six stairs. There was no other way, it was all to save time.

"I'm here, I'm at the teaching building. I'm so tired!" Seeing the teaching building in front of him, Cai Wei stopped to take a breath.

"What the hell! We still have five floors to climb, and there are only two minutes left!"

Zhang Haoxuan scolded Cai Wei again. He had already scolded him a lot along the way.

Jun Zimo was not as idle as them. While they were talking, he had already started climbing the stairs.

For Jun Zimo, who had undergone inhuman training, although he had not exercised for a long time, running at this intensity was still easy for him. He did not even take a breath while running all the way.

"Hello, students! Today is our first class, let's take roll call!"

There was still one minute before class started and the classroom was already full of people.

The professor, who looked older, saw that most people were there, so he picked up the roster and started calling the roll!

"Cai Wei!"

"Cai Wei!"

Seeing that no one answered, the professor drew a small circle next to his name.

In high schools and middle schools, students may be listed in order of grade.

But in college, it is different. The students' names are ranked according to their surnames.

Cai Wei's surname begins with c, and there are very few surnames that begin with a or b, so Cai Wei naturally became the first name reported.

The professor called out a few more names and they all came.

In the few seconds it took to announce names, Jun Zimo arrived, followed by Zhang Haoxuan and Wang Jian.

The professor looked at the three people standing at the door. It was already 8:01, and they were already one minute late.

"You college students, you're late on the first day of class. Don't you know how to manage your schedule properly?"

The professor looked at the three people standing at the door and shook his head.

"What's the name of the first student to arrive?"

"Jun Zimo!"

"Jun Zimo? Why do I seem to have heard of this name before?"

The professor racked his brains to recall; he seemed to have heard this name before.

After thinking for about a minute, he figured out why he was so familiar with this name!

It was almost ten o'clock last night when he was getting ready to go to bed.

His old friend Zhou Yi suddenly sent him a song lyric for him to appreciate.

The professor teaches a course on Chinese traditional culture and mainly studies Chinese traditional culture. He has no awareness of modern pop songs at all.

So when the lyrics were finally sent to him, he didn't care much about it. However, at Zhou Yi's repeated request, he took a look at it.

It would have been fine if he hadn't read it, but after reading the first two sentences, the professor was deeply drawn into it.

"The blank outlines the blue and white strokes, which then become lighter and thicker"

"The peony on the bottle is just like your first makeup"

While "I" was coloring the blank, I was thinking of a Jiangnan woman who I had once met and was as beautiful as blue and white porcelain.

Look further down.

"The lingering sandalwood fragrance penetrates through the window and I understand your thoughts."

"Put the brush halfway on the rice paper"

Amidst the lingering sandalwood fragrance, my heart felt slightly sad, and I could no longer paint. Even if I were a master of painting, the peony on the vase could not compare to the beautiful woman's smile that was about to bloom. I didn't know where the beautiful woman was, and I couldn't help feeling sad.

Judging from the writing style and the imagery used, the poem begins in a straightforward manner without any flowery rhetoric, but it has already established the clear and elegant tone of the entire piece.

It can be said that the first few sentences are already considered quatrains.

But until I saw:

"The sky is blue and waiting for the rain, and I am waiting for you"

The professor couldn't hold it in any longer. Even a cultured man like him couldn't help but curse, "That's awesome!"

Then I asked Zhou Yi, which literary master wrote this.

But Zhou Yi's answer made him drop his jaw.

"This was written by a freshman and sung at freshman assembly today!"

"What? Such amazing lyrics were written by a freshman? I don't believe it!"

So the professor called Zhou Yi to confirm again.
