Chapter 204 "The Ten-Thousand-Yuan Household" Season 2 Episode 18

Liu Xiaozhuang ate his last meal in this "home," joked with his older brothers and sisters one last time, and watched their helpless expressions as they were unable to stop themselves. He remembered it all.

That hour felt incredibly long, so long that he remembered every detail on everyone's face, yet it also felt so fast that it was almost time to leave.

"I'll leave my things to my fifth and third sisters. You bunch of grown men shouldn't fight with my sisters. Big brother, I saw you crying; it looked a bit ugly, hehe~"

Liu Dazhuang's moment of sadness vanished in an instant, replaced by the urge to scold this brat! He really hates younger siblings the most!!

"Second brother, don't always be so quiet and don't talk to others. They're not bad people. Third sister, be more clever. You need to have your own ideas. Look how fast Fifth sister's mind works. If you follow her around, you'll end up being sold out by her and still counting the money."

Liu Wumei slapped Liu Xiaozhuang across the back, yelling, "What nonsense are you spouting! Trying to sow discord between me and your third sister! We're doing great!!"

Liu Sanjie smiled and nodded in affirmation.

Liu Xiaozhuang sighed mischievously, "Fourth Brother, it's really not easy being caught between them!"

Liu Sizhuang couldn't help but laugh; this kid really ruined the atmosphere.

Liu Wumei came out of the yard and said, "Mom said she won't come out to see you off."

The group silently understood the unspoken message; Aunt Liu didn't want to see Liu Xiaozhuang leave.

"Alright then, I'm off. Good luck to you guys! You should at least get into the top three, then give me the job. I'll split my salary with you guys. I'll work and you guys get paid. Isn't that a good deal? Hehe, I'm off! No need to see me off."

Liu Xiaozhuang waved goodbye and left into the night with a final smile.

The five of them stood on the road, watching from afar. Even though the production crew hadn't turned on the power yet, the moonlight made the road shine brightly, and they could clearly see Liu Xiaozhuang's departing figure.

When Liu Wumei turned her head, she inadvertently saw Aunt Liu peeking from behind the door frame, so she turned her head back as if nothing had happened and continued to look into the distance.

[Didn't Liu Xiaozhuang come back? Why does he seem a little sad?]

【Yeah, it's not like we'll never see each other again, why are you making such a fuss?】

Stop looking at this, the college entrance exam is coming back!!

As the weather gradually turned cooler, while everyone else was still wearing cotton-padded coats, Su Zhenhua, wearing the military overcoat sent by his grandfather, stood out like a crane among chickens in the village.

This attracted the attention of the children in the park, who gathered around to watch.

"Your outfit looks so cool!"

"I said it first!"

"I thought he was handsome from the start!"

Su Zhenhua smiled broadly as he handed out candy to the children. He had managed to save some money during his time in the countryside, unlike in the city where everything cost money. He also raised two hens, though they hadn't started laying eggs yet.

While others are preparing for the college entrance examination, some have started preparing for small businesses, since individual businesses have been permitted.

After her initial sadness, Shi Hongmei realized that Xiao Er was an arts troupe member who wasn't going to the battlefield, so she didn't try to persuade the NPC's daughter to retire.

She originally thought this was just a peaceful and idyllic show where NPCs were enslaved, but it turned out to be quite unsettling for her.

Turning her head, she noticed the weather was getting cold, so she spent her days knitting scarves, gloves, hats, and other items with her NPC son and daughter, and then selling them in the city. Because the designs were unique and they even took into account the preferences of the children in the park, they made a considerable income every day.

Liu Wumei is so busy every day that she's practically never home, and Liu Erzhuang and Liu Sizhuang are nowhere to be seen either.

Su Zhenhua would occasionally run into Liu Dazhuang when he came home from get off work and they would chat for a bit.

"A meat processing plant is planning to build a factory?!"

Liu Dazhuang said, "Yes, I heard they're looking for cooked food, like sausages and cured meat. If you're looking for a job, you can give it a try."

Because of his good work, Liu Dazhuang was promoted to team leader and now manages a lot of workers. They are already lining up to be allocated housing by the meat processing plant.

Su Zhenhua shook his head. "I'm planning to start a business."

Liu Dazhuang asked, "What kind of business?"

Su Zhenhua waved his hand, "I haven't decided yet."

Liu Dazhuang was surprised that this guy was still thinking about doing business despite owing so much money. After all, they had gotten to know each other well and he understood this seemingly wealthy second-generation city dweller who was actually a poor second-generation. Just as he was about to say a few words of advice, Su Zhenhua suddenly ran away.

Su Zhenhua took a long stride and ran after the children in front of him, shouting, "Little Fatty, where are you going! Wait for me!"

These children would suddenly disappear while playing every afternoon. Once, they even went up the mountain to pick mushrooms and fruit together, and when they turned around, all the children were gone.

He's determined to find out where all these kids went today.

"Oh, so you guys were watching TV!!! You didn't even call me!!"

Su Zhenhua squeezed in and found a small stool to sit on. The TV was showing the animated series "The Secret of Penglai Island." Having not had any electronic devices for a long time, seeing a TV for the first time was surprisingly exciting.

When the village chief returned home, he found there was an extra person in the house.

"What brings you here?!"

"Village chief, you actually have a TV in your house!"

Su Zhenhua chuckled.

The village chief felt a headache coming on. He had hidden the TV so well, yet the kid still managed to sneak over. Thinking about the production team's instructions, it wasn't too early to have exposed it.

[Haha, Su Zhenhua discovered the village chief had a TV, and the village chief immediately told the whole village.]

[When Su Zhenhua skillfully entered the house and found it crowded with other contestants and NPCs, his expression was truly hilarious, even a little resentful. The village chief didn't even dare to meet his gaze.]

Wow, seeing the Coral Squad on the show, such a dream collaboration, I love it!!
