Yu Feifei and her best friend Wang Mengmeng both managed to snag tickets to the premiere, though their seats weren't together. Nevertheless, they enthusiastically bought drinks and lined up to enter.
"It's almost midnight, and there are still so many people!"
"I guess they're all here to see 'The Shadow Bone.' Didn't you see those people taking pictures with the poster?"
"It's only been a few years, and Flying Entertainment has developed so quickly."
"Didn't you just come back from studying abroad? How do you know so many details?"
Yu Feifei was inwardly crying. She had taken on a writing project for a melodramatic TV series in order to earn money, only to find out that it was a collaborative effort between three people. She wanted to run away, but she had already paid the registration fee. She thought the series was destined to flop, but unexpectedly, it became a hit.
When she saw "Chinese Horror" abroad, she checked the production company behind it and, lo and behold, found the melodramatic series she hadn't wanted to be credited for. She was even more shocked to discover that one of the writers she'd worked with back then had become a big shot at Feiyang Entertainment. She was filled with regret!
Why didn't I write it more carefully back then?! However, although she felt regretful, she wasn't jealous, because she had seen the initial draft and her own draft, and the final product was completely different from the previous one. It could only be said that the final writer deserved the credit.
However, it didn't make a difference for her. Although she didn't become a great screenwriter or writer, the money allowed her to successfully pursue further education, find a high-paying job, and live the life of a beautiful older sister that she had once longed for.
At most, she would occasionally express her feelings, but Yu Feifei inevitably became a loyal fan of Feiyang Entertainment, and even booked a flight to Penglai Island in a couple of days.
"The show has started, hurry up and go in."
Before entering the venue, Yu Feifei and her best friend even went to the restroom, which was a very wise move, as everyone else did the same.
At the beginning of the movie, a person is holding a camera. The camera turns and two people appear in the frame. The background is a cruise ship, and they seem to be recording and taking pictures.
"Wow, we've finally arrived in Antarctica! Look, there's an iceberg ahead."
"It's so close!! Quick, take pictures! We finally won this luxury Antarctic trip, let's take lots of footage, and when we get back, we'll go viral!"
A waiter brought over drinks for the two of them. "That's great. Could you please bring us another hot cocoa? It's a bit chilly on this deck."
"Two more blankets, please."
The waiter, Mark, hadn't gone two steps before he was called back, "Give us some more bread."
"Everything on this ship is great, except that the food is all foreign, and my stomach feels like it's all ice-cold."
"Look! The iceberg over there has cracked open!! Take a picture!!"
"ah!"
The ship suddenly twisted, and the captain's voice came through the loudspeaker, "Due to natural phenomena, the ship will be rocking. Please hold on tight and sit down."
At that moment, no one noticed a strange blue-green light flickering in the footage of the broken glacier.
After the medium-sized boat came to a stop, the two men's panic subsided considerably.
"I was so scared, I thought something bad was going to happen."
"Don't worry, this is a polar cruise ship from Country X. Besides a small number of tourists like us, there is also a scientific expedition team from Country X heading to Antarctica on board."
While the two were having dinner, the power went out briefly in the cruise ship's restaurant. However, no one else panicked, and the two could only wait quietly. The power was restored soon afterward.
Before they could even relax, the ship's wing seemed to have struck something, and through the cabin windows they realized that the ship had somehow entered a narrow fjord.
"What happened?"
The two looked at the imposing icebergs on both sides of the ship and were a little scared, but a kind lady explained, "Is this your first time here? Don't be afraid, this is the sampling route taken by the research team. It was the same last time."
The two were excited and wanted to secretly film the sampling process, so they dressed up and reappeared on the deck. The camera filmed the vast and boundless glacier, which was eerily silent, with the occasional sound of ice breaking.
"What's wrong with the camera? Is it out of power? Why is it malfunctioning so often?"
"Look at the top! It's an ice cave!"
As night fell, the ship returned to the vast sea, only to be struck by another sudden break in the iceberg. Blue-green lights flashed in the ship's corridor.
The two noticed that there were more staff members on the ship, all wearing protective suits.
"The ship is covered in carpets, so where did this red tomato sauce come from? It's all over the soles of my shoes."
"My pants got rubbed too."
The two went to the waiter to complain. Mark had already received complaints all morning. The waiter who worked the night shift yesterday was missing, but he had to deal with these complaints. He was very annoyed.
"Don't you feel like it's not so cold today?"
The two chatted as they walked toward the restaurant. One of the restaurant's customers scratched his neck, revealing clearly visible worm-like protrusions under his skin, as if they were crawling inside him.
The tourist scratched his neck, leaving bloody marks. The person who suddenly collapsed in the restaurant was examined by the accompanying nurse, who opened the tourist's eyelids and found gray pupils. She hurriedly pushed the collapsed tourist away and kept wiping her palms with a towel.
"What's going on?" The two people came over to watch and found the scene strange. Then, a person wearing protective goggles and a mask whose face could not be seen was shot in the head by a tourist on the ground.
The two were quite close together, and at the moment of the headshot, white and red liquid sprayed onto both of them.
They were terrified. The tourist who had been shot in the head was screaming, and the body had already been dragged away by these people.
"I want to get off the ship!! I spent a million dollars to come here for fun! Fuck! Do you know I know the prime minister of country X? Send someone to get us out of here immediately!!"
The two men felt a deafening roar in their heads as they watched the chaos unfold on the ship. They had won a free two-week trip to Antarctica, so what had happened to cause those people to shoot the tourist?
The two men were terrified as they watched the strange, twitching birds on the deck. They decided to go back and pack their bags to find a way to leave.
As you tidy up, you can see strange birds crashing against the window, and seals twitching strangely on the ice not far away.
"Those beasts! They ran away a long time ago!!"
To their horror, the two discovered that the lifeboats on the side of the ship were nowhere to be seen, leaving only some tourists and crew members. They watched as one of the tourists, who had been hurling insults, suddenly became like the tourist from that morning, his body covered in bloody scratches. Then his pupils gradually turned gray, and his body twisted and he rose from the spot, the sound of cracking bones echoing. The howling wind came from the cabin outside, and in the deathly silence, this tourist crawled towards the others.
"ah!!"
