Chapter 6 A Deadly Battle

Having the legendary "money power" of my own, of course I need to find helpers.

So, Lin Xiaoxiao secretly found three writers online, all of whom were small-time authors with only a few followers. As for why there were three, well, it's because too many cooks spoil the broth.

Lin Xiaoxiao believed that these three people would not disappoint her, so she immediately sent them the key points of the script and asked them to be responsible for writing five episodes of the script, and randomly selected the order in which the three people would write.

Lin Xiaoxiao thought to herself, "Now I can be sure that everything will be foolproof."

Wang Guang, a young writer on the Banana website, looked at the key points sent from the other end, rubbed his glasses, and thought he was seeing things. How could anyone make such a request? These are all clichés from decades ago; they're no longer used in online novels.

Wang Guang immediately felt like giving up, but looking at the generous payment he had received on his phone, he hesitated for a moment before deciding to bite the bullet and finish writing. After all, Wang Guang had just met the other party, and the other party had already transferred the entire payment without any final payment or deductions. Out of respect for the other party's trust, Wang Guang decided that no matter how awkward it felt, he had to finish his part before the deadline.

Unlike Wang Guang's loyalty, another author, Yu Feifei, was so shocked when she received the request in her dormitory that she read it aloud: "Cancer, wealthy family, miscarriage, identity swap, revenge, turning to the dark side?! These are all clichés that would give you a heart attack."

"Feifei, is this the scriptwriting you accepted?"

Yu Feifei complained to her roommate, "Yeah, I never imagined their demands would be so outrageous. I'm planning to quit. If I finish this, my writing career will be over."

Her roommate reminded her, "But Feifei, didn't you already use this money to pay for the TOEFL and GRE registration fees?"

Yu Feifei's expression was complicated at this moment. She finally remembered that she had taken on this scriptwriting job because she was short of money. She could earn enough within a week to cover her registration fee and still have the rest left.

Yu Feifei sighed, "It seems I have no choice but to bite the bullet and write it. Luckily, I drew the one to write in the middle. I'll just expand it based on what the previous person wrote and fill it with five episodes."

"My mentor has finally appeared! It wasn't for nothing that I've been working on this for five years out of passion! I've actually stepped into the screenwriting world!"

Zhang Fan excitedly looked at the message on his computer. He was finally about to make it big. He hadn't expected to receive a scriptwriting offer before his work was even adapted into a film or television series. After receiving the invitation, Zhang Fan diligently searched and discovered a clue: the person who extended the invitation was from the production company of "Love Under the Moonlight." Although this company had only produced one drama, it had been frequently trending on social media recently.

The fact that this company would approach him for their second drama (Zhang Fan automatically ignored the other two writers) made Zhang Fan feel that he was someone who had been chosen by a dark horse company in the entertainment industry.

Indeed, the long and arduous process of failure in the early stages was all to pave the way for Zhang Fan's current success.

Although it was a commissioned essay, Zhang Fan was confident that he would become famous overnight. The other party even asked him to be credited on the script! Everyone would know his name then, and Zhang Fan felt that he had finally reached a turning point in his life!

The only downside was that the script required a collaboration of three people. Zhang Fan wanted to write it alone, but the other party disagreed, and they even had to draw lots. Unfortunately, Zhang Fan was chosen to write the last five episodes.

By the time Zhang Fan's part is completed, the story's development will likely be set, leaving little room for further development. Zhang Fan can now only hope that the other two writers will step up their game and finish their drafts quickly, giving him ample time to showcase his talents.

Lin Xiaoxiao finally resolved the script issue. Although she encountered an excited writer who strongly recommended that she write on her own, Lin Xiaoxiao had a bad feeling about the recommendation. If she hadn't seen that the writer had been writing for almost ten years without a single work becoming a hit, she probably would have kicked the writer out of the project.

Lin Xiaoxiao felt she was overthinking things. Talented people are not so common. If the other party was really a great writer, how come no one had shown interest yet? Lin Xiaoxiao could only comfort herself that she was overthinking things.

The script outline was given on Friday, and Lin Xiaoxiao received the first draft the following Wednesday. Two days earlier than the scheduled Friday, Lin Xiaoxiao couldn't help but sigh again, thinking that if it was so fast, the quality definitely wouldn't be good.

Lin Xiaoxiao glanced at the beginning and then started casting the actors for each role.
