Chapter 75 Traveling with the Family 6

The next day at noon, everyone finished packing and headed to the restaurant.

Lin Yang walked at the front, following the navigation. Peng Lei took out his cane and followed at a steady pace. Zhang Jian walked in the middle of the group. Peng Miao and Zhao Shufang walked side by side, chatting. Sheng Yiyi and Kang Le walked at the back, looking around at the flower wall and the food trucks by the roadside. They were excited about everything they saw, like little birds that had just been released from their cages, curious about everything around them.

The relaxed atmosphere of the trip gradually emerged, and the seven people, like a real family, strolled through the flower-filled garden town, just like other tourists.

Behind the monitor, Lin Xiaoxiao's face was unusually bitter. How could she not tear it apart? Lin Yang, why don't you fight back? Zhang Jian, why don't you speak like a father? The two old guests, hurry up and give us your opinions!

After working together to move their luggage yesterday, the atmosphere among the seven people became much more harmonious. When ordering food, Zhao Shufang suggested that in order to save on the budget, they could share the meal.

After enjoying a delicious brunch, the group arrived at the entrance of the garden attraction.

Lin Xiaoxiao had a mischievous smile on her lips. When it came to the issue of money distribution, something strange was bound to happen.

"Should we split the money among ourselves or use it together? The airfare, accommodation, and car rental have already been paid."

Upon hearing Lin Yang's suggestion, Peng Miao raised her hand, "If we're not going to split up later, why don't we all use it together?"

Sheng Yiyi and Kang Le looked at the ice cream truck by the roadside and asked, "Could you give us the money for an ice cream?"

The two older guests, being health-conscious, won't be eating these cold things. However, the younger guests might want to buy some snacks.

Lin Yang thought for a moment and then said, "How about we give each person 10 euros as pocket money, and we can all spend the rest together, including meals? What do you think?"

Sheng Yiyi and Kang Le were overjoyed and agreed. Lin Yang was a little worried that the two seniors might not agree, but to his surprise, they also agreed.

"Everyone can keep some money on them, not much, just enough for an emergency."

Peng Miao was also quite happy, since the show wouldn't be using her own money. She looked at the things on the roadside stalls and wanted to buy some, but because she didn't have a big budget and wanted to save money, she decided not to use her pocket money.

Sheng Yiyi and Kang Le took the money and immediately ran to the ice cream cart next to them to buy an ice cream.

Unexpectedly, Peng Miao also bought ice cream. She and Zhao Shufang, who wanted to try it but dared not eat too much, shared an ice cream.

Zhang Jian bought a glass of iced beer and sat down to drink it at the stall, while Peng Lei leisurely sipped his goji berry water from his thermos.

The sun was shining brightly, a gentle breeze was blowing, and the walls along the roadside were covered with captivating roses, their petals swirling in the wind like ripples.

Peng Lei and Zhang Jian, who were sitting in front of the stall, asked Lin Yang to buy ice cream as well.

The oldest among them, Peng Lei, advised Lin Yang, who was standing there blankly, "Go and eat with them. You're not that old, you don't need to be so tense all the time. Take a break, and then we'll go sightseeing, and that will be the end of today."

Lin Yang was a little shy, but he nodded and ran over to buy ice cream to share with Sheng Yiyi and the others, enjoying different flavors together.

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled shadows that pieced together the figures of several people in a haphazard fashion.

The sunlight, like butter melting in a glass cup, envelops the people and scenery before us in translucent amber.

Each leaf, bathed in a warm light and glistening with moisture, scatters golden dust upon passersby in its shade, casting dappled shadows onto the bamboo fence covered in pink roses. Plump clouds, like fluffy quilts drying in the sun, also carry the pleasant scent of sunshine, dancing swiftly with the passing wind, leaving only remnants of white against the blue sky as proof of their passage.

This moment of relaxation and ease allowed Lin Yang to briefly set aside his anxieties and immerse himself in the ease and joy of the trip.

Before arriving, Lin Yang felt a lot of pressure when he saw the guest lineup, as he and Sheng Yiyi were the only two young people in the group. He had worked with Sheng Yiyi before and knew that she was a bit of a scatterbrain; if it weren't for Feiyang Entertainment, she would have been devoured by this industry long ago.

So before he came, he was under a lot of pressure and did a lot of research, afraid of displeasing his seniors and also afraid that the younger ones wouldn't have enough fun.

What I thought would be a miserable trip with the whole family turned out to be not as difficult as I imagined.

After visiting the garden attractions in the evening, the older Zhao Shufang and Peng Lei were about to head back, while Peng Miao wanted to wander around to see if she could buy some things to have breakfast at home the next day. The rented guesthouse had a kitchen, and eating breakfast at home would save them a lot of money, since they didn't know how much they would spend later.

Lin Yang originally wanted to go with them, but Zhang Jian refused.

"I'll go with her. You kids can go explore the town and have some fun. You won't have too much stuff; I can carry it. Oh, and don't eat too much cold food, or you'll get an upset stomach."

Peng Miao suddenly remembered Kang Le's homework, but fearing it would affect everyone's mood, she could only tell him, "Come back early, don't stay out too late, and be home before dark."

Lin Yang smiled and nodded, then ran towards Sheng Yiyi and Kang Le. In that instant, he felt like he had returned to his childhood, as if there were people to hold up the sky even if it collapsed.

Lin Yang and his two companions didn't play for long; they returned home before dark, bringing back some food with them.

Aside from Zhang Jian and Peng Miao tasting some, the two elderly people did not try any, as they were used to not eating at night.

It was during this heartwarming moment that Lin Xiaoxiao asked the staff to remind them that Kang Le had not yet started doing his winter vacation homework.
