Kang Le didn't expect that returning to the hotel would be the beginning of another nightmare, as he needed to do his winter vacation homework for the day.
Although Kang Le is already a child star who has acted in many dramas, he is still a 10-year-old child by Chinese reckoning, and at this moment he couldn't help but cry.
"Waaaaah~ I don't want to write~ Waaaaah~ You guys are mean, I want to go home~"
Lin Yang and Zhang Jian laughed gleefully from the sidelines, watching Kang Le with snot and tears streaming down his face, resisting the urge to look at his homework on the table. They simply couldn't hold it in any longer.
Fortunately, they had already arranged the list of students to tutor on the train yesterday.
Today it's Sheng Yiyi's turn, who slept soundly last night.
Peng Miao tried to comfort her for a while, but found that the more she tried to persuade her, the more she cried. So she simply stopped trying and started talking to the two adults next to her who had ill intentions.
"Stop laughing, everyone. Go, go, get out of here. Let Yiyi and Kangle finish their homework quickly. If you delay any longer, will they ever get any sleep?"
Peng Miao shooed the two out of the room and thoughtfully closed the door behind them.
Lin Yang took a few steps before realizing that he and Kang Le shared a room. "Wait, Sister Peng, this is my room..."
Peng Miao pushed the two of them from behind, "Go to Brother Zhang and Brother Peng's room for a while, and come back after Yiyi finishes tutoring."
Lin Yang had no choice but to go to Peng Lei and Zhang Jian's room first.
After a night of tutoring, everyone had developed a "life-or-death bond," so when the two main guests, Zhao Shufang and Peng Lei, suggested sharing a room to save money, everyone agreed.
However, Peng Lei was old and his legs had not fully recovered, so he was worried that he might get kicked if he slept with Kang Le at night. Therefore, he shared a room with Zhang Jian, while Lin Yang shared a room with Kang Le.
Peng Miao shared a room with Sheng Yiyi. Zhao Shufang, on the other hand, had a separate room because she was a light sleeper and had a regular schedule. This was so that she could get a good rest at night and have the energy to travel during the day.
Kang Le saw that only he and Sheng Yiyi were left in the room, and the crying had subsided a lot. He cried quietly while secretly glancing at Sheng Yiyi, who was playing on her phone.
Kang Le was puzzled as to why Sheng Yiyi was ignoring him. How was he supposed to skip today's homework?
Sheng Yiyi, who didn't follow the script, didn't even lift her eyelids. "Once you've cried enough, hurry up and do your homework. If you finish it early, I'll help you correct it, and then we can go to bed early. Maybe we can even go out for breakfast and have some ice cream tomorrow morning."
Kang Le mustered his courage and prepared to unleash his crying skills once again.
Sheng Yiyi put down her phone and looked at him. "So, you want me to tutor you while you write? You don't want to write it yourself?"
Kang Le interrupted his meditation, saying, "No! I want to write it myself." He immediately turned around, grabbed a pen, and started writing. Wait a minute, he said he wouldn't do his homework today, so how did he end up doing it?
Just as Kang Le was about to unleash his power again, a voice came from behind him, "Don't forget, we have cameras in the house now. Your parents can see everything. You'll be going back after the trip."
Kang Le shuddered three times. He had almost forgotten that he was filming a variety show. Waaah, wouldn't everyone see him crying and refusing to do his homework? Wouldn't the teacher see it too? He was so miserable.
Kang Le was sobbing as she did her homework, looking like a pitiful, wronged little girl.
Sitting on the sofa behind, Sheng Yiyi thought to herself, "Hey kid, I tried all those tricks of yours back in the day, and they didn't work at all. My parents were both teachers, and I just copied how they countered my moves. I've been through the rain myself, so I'm going to tear other people's umbrellas too, hehe."
Kang Le cried for a while, but without the comfort of her four elderly relatives, she quickly stopped and began to do her homework seriously.
I didn't expect to finish all three subjects' homework in just an hour and a half.
A sudden surge of inexplicable sense of accomplishment welled up in Kang Le's heart. He had actually written so quickly; yesterday he had spent four or five hours writing.
Sheng Yiyi first praised him verbally, but her tone was still indifferent as she quickly corrected the homework.
"Okay, just rewrite the parts that are wrong, and that will be fine."
Kang Le's sense of accomplishment hadn't faded yet, so she picked up her homework to check her results. But when she saw so many crosses, she couldn't help herself, and her little pearl fell down again.
Sheng Yiyi didn't offer any comfort or stop, but immediately began explaining the first wrong answer, not giving Kang Le a chance to let her complex emotions surface. Kang Le, still somewhat bewildered, had already corrected several questions before realizing that she could no longer muster the energy to cry and fuss, and could only purse her lips and continue writing.
Lin Yang thought it would be past midnight by now, so he planned to take a shower in Zhang Jian's room first. But when he came to get his toiletries, he found that he had almost finished his homework for the day.
Lin Yang couldn't believe it. "It's already finished writing?! And the grading is done too!"
Kang Le nodded happily. He hadn’t expected to write faster than usual today. He was so amazing!
Lin Yang was devastated. The same amount of homework, but today you only took an hour and a half, and yesterday you took four or five hours! Are you deliberately messing with us?! He turned to look at Sheng Yiyi, who was yawning and leaving nonchalantly, and his expression turned sour.
It definitely has little to do with Sheng Yiyi. I guess it's because Kang Le didn't want to do his homework on the first day of his trip yesterday. Good boy, it'll be his turn to tutor him tomorrow. If he, as the older brother, doesn't give Kang Le a little shock, he won't know why the flowers are so red!
The next day, everyone who didn't need help with homework slept very well, and even the two elderly people, Zhao Shufang and Peng Lei, looked to be in good spirits.
Zhao Shufang slept exceptionally well last night. Thinking back to the night before, she couldn't bear to recall it. "Yiyi, you worked hard yesterday. I'll buy you an ice cream later."
