Chapter 86 Traveling with the Family 17

Children's moods change rapidly and are often unpredictable. Before adults can even apologize for their casual remarks, the child has already moved on.

Only the bewildered adults remained, standing there bewildered in the wind.

Lin Yang dragged Kang Le back to do his homework yesterday. After that, Kang Le cried all night before going to sleep with his back to him. Of course, he still pulled Kang Le back into his arms in the middle of the night.

It wasn't out of pity, but because Kang Le had kicked him in the waist while he was asleep. To avoid further injuries, he could only hold onto this guy who could move around and hurt people at any time while asleep.

The next day, I wanted to talk to Kang Le and tell him that doing his homework well would lead to a bright future. I also told him that I made him do his homework yesterday for his own good.

When Kang Le woke up, he was excitedly carrying his little schoolbag, making little noises like a spinning top, his heart filled with excitement about going out to play. He didn't remember anything about Lin Yang's behavior last night.

"Big brother, what are you doing? Come quick!"

Lin Yang smiled bitterly, his feelings somewhat complicated. In fact, he was worried that Kang Le would use the magical logic of a child to break down his reasons one by one, so he hesitated to speak.

By the time he was about to speak, Kang Le was already jumping around without a trace of gloom, only filled with curiosity and a desire to explore the world.

As Lin Yang carried his luggage and followed the group, he thought to himself, "Sure enough, only adults care about whether people make each other uncomfortable. Children's world is only about the stars and the sea."

He's definitely past the age of being a savior from an animated film. The fact that he doesn't want the world to end at his age already makes him a mentally healthy and well-rounded member of society.

All seven of them were on the road that day, and it wasn't until the afternoon that they arrived at another seaside town in Country X.

Zhang Jian remarked with emotion, "This place feels completely different from another place; it's actually the same country."

Peng Lei, leaning on his cane, said, "The humidity in the air is indeed higher."

"Grandpa, you can even sense the humidity in the air?!"

Peng Lei laughed for a while, "Of course, Grandpa's legs are like a rain warning system, super accurate."

Kang Le looked at Peng Lei's legs with starry eyes, "Grandpa, I want them too! Why can't I have my legs? I want them too!"

Everyone else couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing this.

Peng Lei was initially a little worried about delaying everyone's trip because of his leg problems, but after Kang Le talked about it, it sounded like some kind of amazing high-tech gadget, and his mood brightened up considerably.

Seeing that Kang Le was getting no answers and even trying to lift up Peng Lei's trouser leg, Lin Yang quickly interjected, "You can go see whales this season, and there are also little penguins here."

Sure enough, Kang Le's attention was immediately drawn, and his mouth gaped open like an egg. "A little penguin?! Where is it? Aren't penguins only allowed to live in Antarctica? Dude, you're lying!"

Lin Yang gave him a light tap on the head. "You little rascal, when have I ever lied to you? I've already said if there's a penguin, there's bound to be one."

Kang Le pouted in dissatisfaction, covered his head, and looked aggrieved. Peng Miao thought Lin Yang hadn't held back, so she gently patted Kang Le's head. When she didn't find a bump, she realized she had been overthinking it. It wasn't that Lin Yang had a strong hand; Kang Le was obviously faking it.

Sheng Yiyi recognized him immediately; he looked exactly like her when she was a child. Unfortunately, the adults around her didn't have the sharp eyes of her parents and could see through the boy's trick at a glance.

"Does it hurt a lot? Let me help you relieve it."

Seeing Sheng Yiyi's malicious smile, Kang Le suddenly felt no longer aggrieved. "It doesn't hurt anymore, I don't need you anymore."

The others smiled and helped push the luggage out of the airport.

This time, Lin Yang booked a hotel owned by a fellow countryman in Country X. The fellow countryman was very enthusiastic in picking him up from the airport. When he saw that it was a celebrity with a photography team, his eyes lit up.

"Are you celebrities?! Why didn't you say so when you made the reservation? I'll give you a free meal."

Lin Yang quickly refused, "No need, one thing at a time. We will definitely pay what we owe."

After all, even if the meal is free, the production team will still take the money, so it's better to let the villagers earn some.

“There are quite a lot of you, both young and old. The younger ones should sit in the back. The road conditions here are not good and it’s a bit bumpy. The little ones should sit in the last row with their older brothers and sisters.”

The owner's name is Huang Weiqiang, and he tells everyone to call him Aqiang. He's a small business owner at the hotel, and although he looks young, he's actually over thirty. He runs the hotel with his parents. Initially, his father went abroad to work and kept sending money home, while his mother and he stayed in China. Later, his father saved some money, opened the hotel, and made quite a bit of money. His mother then came to help, and he was placed in a boarding school, where he would stay with relatives during holidays.

He had no one to supervise him, and his grades weren't good. He used to blame his dad for not spending time with him. Later, when he didn't get into a good university, his dad didn't scold him, but he was still willing to spend a lot of money to send him to school.

He had a vengeful mentality at the time, so he spent money like crazy during college in an attempt to attract his father's attention.

So, after he graduated and entered the workforce, he began to understand why his father hadn't come back. It was because plane tickets back to China were very expensive, and once, when he finally managed to come back, his flight was canceled.

As a child, he always blamed his father for not returning as promised and wouldn't listen to any other explanations. Later, when he started working to earn money, he realized how hard it was to earn money. His parents hadn't come back because they wanted to save money for him to spend in China.

Later, he couldn't continue working there, so he went abroad to find his parents.
