Chapter 87 Traveling with the Family 18

When everyone arrived at the hotel, apart from Peng Miao and Kang Le who were tutoring each other, the hotel owner invited the others to have tea and chat that evening.

After chatting all night and hearing many stories about local life, everyone drifted off to sleep.

On the third day, the group first visited a university built locally, which teaches their language and courses, and the teachers are mostly from China.

The school looks quite nice; the buildings are newer than those in the surrounding area and have a distinctly domestic architectural style.

The school's teachers and some students welcomed them, and everyone chatted together, exchanging different cultures in the same language. The novel experience made Kang Le proudly stand tall and explain grammar to the foreigners.

The others listening nearby almost burst out laughing. Who would have thought that this kid, who didn't want to do his homework or study at night, would create a persona of a well-behaved, studious child in public?

Then, they went to the local hospital established by the government and met many doctors stationed there.

On the fourth day, on the doctor's recommendation, the group took a canoe to the jungle to see lemurs, and then went to see the penguins that Kang Le had been longing to see.

When Kang Le saw the penguins, his eyes nearly popped out of his head in surprise, as if he couldn't believe that there were penguins living on such a beach.

Looking at the penguins that were only as tall as his calves, Kang Le asked, "Brother, do you think these little penguins were stolen from Antarctica? Otherwise, why are they here?"

Lin Yang was stumped by the question, as were the others, and they hurriedly opened their phones to search.

But when everyone stumbled over the search results to Kang Le, he didn't believe it. He firmly believed that the little penguin had been secretly taken away.

A group of adults couldn't muster a single person with a background in biology or history to properly educate Kang Le about these local penguins.

Sheng Yiyi remained silent, only looking at the camera, hoping that when Kang Le grows up and sees this program, he will still be so determined.

Next, they booked a local boat and prepared to go out to sea to hunt whales.

Yes, this is a great place for whale watching.

The boundless, jelly-like blue sea stretched out before us. We were aboard a boat with a simple interior, resembling a train station waiting room, feeling the turbulence as we sped through the water. Huge waves were less than a meter away from our tops.

Kang Le looked unusually downcast, and the two elderly people didn't look too good either.

Lin Yang never expected to get seasick. He had acted in naval dramas before. Ugh, how could he get seasick?

The only person still standing on the entire ship was Sheng Yiyi, who busily handed out water and tissues to everyone.

But when it came to driving back, everyone refused.

Fortunately, they drove fast enough and soon arrived at the seaside hotel where they were going to stay that day.

When everyone came to their senses and started moving their luggage, they discovered that Sheng Yiyi had already painstakingly carried all the luggage into everyone's room.

"Your little arms are surprisingly strong?!"

Lin Yang looked at his biceps, which he had worked out to improve his physique, with some disbelief. He had been carrying luggage for the past few days and knew its weight very well.

Sheng Yiyi smiled and showed off her biceps, which didn't bulge at all, but Peng Miao immediately demonstrated what it means to have perfect emotional value.

"Look at these beautiful, powerful lines, full of both violence and aesthetics..."

Lin Yang looked at his bulging biceps again with suspicion, his expression even more confused.

Zhang Jian comforted her, saying, "Don't let their skinny appearance fool you, these young girls are incredibly strong. My wife, when we first met, she was only in her early twenties, and she could lift a whole suitcase full of photography equipment off her shoulder on the high-speed train. Can you believe it! I was thinking, what does this girl eat to be so amazing? I really need to learn from her. And then she became my wife, hehe."

Lin Yang was annoyed to be fed a mouthful of dog food (a Chinese slang term for witnessing public displays of affection).

Zhang Jian also realized that he was originally going to comfort Lin Yang, so he added, "My wife said that when a girl can lift something much heavier than herself, it's all about her last breath. Once that breath is gone, she can't do it anymore."

Lin Yang wasn't comforted at all. He just felt like all those biceps he'd trained were just for show. He remembered all the heavy lifting he'd done these past few days, how long he'd had to rest between loads. Looking at Sheng Yiyi's slender arms, all he could think about was digging a hole and burying himself in it.

If the audience sees this, his image will be ruined.

That evening, whether it was because everyone was hungry or because the pizza was so delicious, the freshly made pizza was so good that everyone ate eight large slices before finally wiping their mouths with satisfaction.

The pizza baker takes out a pizza as soon as it's baked, and it's gone in no time. It's like they're caught in a loop, constantly patting the dough and adding toppings without ever stopping.

Since we were all stuffed from dinner, we went for a walk on the beach after the tide went out.

Kang Le poked here and there with a stick, and Sheng Yiyi was not to be outdone, using the stick to pull the sea urchins up from the cracks in the rocks.

"Look, mine still has thorns."

"You wait, I'll find an even bigger one."

The others also found it interesting and joined in, comparing who found the most unusual items.

Even Peng Lei and Zhao Shufang found a long stick and searched in the shallow seawater.

After everyone returned from their meal, Kang Le was greeted by his tutor once again.

Kang Le cried, so love can disappear, right?

The next morning, upon opening the room door, the blue ocean came into view, along with tall coconut trees and a wooden pier in the distance, instantly putting one into a vacation state.
