The sun slowly set, taking away its light and leaving only the darkness adorned with faint starlight; night quietly descended.
Scattered lights flickered throughout the buildings of the plague hospital, like tiny fireflies in a reed bed in the all-consuming darkness.
Ivan rounded a corner and suddenly sensed something moving through the darkness. He stopped, and his teammates behind him also stopped.
"alert."
As soon as Ivan finished speaking, Xu Yang, at the back of the group, gripped the prop gun in his hand.
After nightfall, they encountered several groups of people. Compared to the peaceful daytime, the darkness seemed to breed much malice. Ivan and his companions hadn't expected that at night they would not only need to guard against imposters, but also be wary of opportunists.

Ivan's team was only two hundred meters from the safe house, but they had already encountered two waves of three or four opportunists. Fortunately, Ivan's team was indeed highly skilled.
The first two times, they escaped death thanks to Xu Yang's formidable martial arts skills and the vigilant and sharp reactions of the others.

The newcomer was none other than Wang Quan, who had joined the team during the day and was the last to leave. Ivan's team knew Wang Quan's identity as a fake, so after their initial surprise, they relaxed considerably, since fakes were much easier to deal with than opportunists.
Ivan raised an eyebrow. "Didn't I say that I wouldn't hold back the next time I see you?"
Wang Quan didn't respond. It wasn't like he wanted to appear in front of Ivan. If it weren't for that devil and that madman asking him to be bait, he would never want to see Ivan again.
Ivan didn't see Zhang Nan and guessed that Zhang Nan had been eliminated by Wang Quan. He wasn't surprised by this, as he didn't have a penchant for saving people.
Xu Yang saw Wang Quan, sneered, and walked towards Wang Quan with a prop gun in hand.
"I'll take you to rest."
Just as Xu Yang was about to eliminate Wang Quan, a sudden change occurred. Because of Wang Quan's appearance, the tight circle that everyone had just formed had a hole. A dark figure suddenly appeared, agile and fast, and in less than half a minute, two people had been eliminated.
By the time the others realized what was happening, it was too late.
Ivan shouted urgently, "Quickly form a circle!"
No sooner had they finished speaking than the same group of speculators they had just encountered rushed out from behind, shattering the circle they had painstakingly regrouped.
In the critical moment, they could only hurry to protect the supplies and serum, but the shadowy figure did not leave. Instead, it took advantage of the chaos to keep eliminating survivors from the group.
Ivan then realized that this was not the chaotic attack he had seen before. It was clearly a premeditated ambush, and the fact that the first two attacks had been repelled might have been staged, all in an effort to eliminate them.
