During the acting class, Ye Zhizhou listened attentively to the teacher's explanation and followed along with his movements.
The girl who had made things difficult for Ye Zhizhou was named Du Jiarui. She kept her eyes glued to Ye Zhizhou's every move and even had someone move her to sit next to him.
"You can split into small groups and try out this scene. Be sure to let your emotions flow freely and don't hold back."
After Xu Hongyuan finished his demonstration, he arranged for the students to rehearse on their own.
"Ye Zhizhou, unfortunately, you're in my group."
Du Jiarui raised her head, determined to make up for the humiliation she had suffered a few days ago.
Ye Zhizhou glanced at her, her brows furrowing slightly. Without needing to think too much, she knew Du Jiarui's purpose; she had no intention of acting opposite Du Jiarui.
"Your acting is terrible, I need to find someone else."
Du Jiarui's face immediately turned ashen, and anger surged to her head.
"Who are you calling a bad actor? I'm a performance major, and you're just an amateur. What gives you the right to say that about me?"
The argument between the two immediately attracted the attention of the surrounding students, including Cen Yuzhou.
Ye Zhizhou rolled up his sleeves and said unhurriedly, "You used eye drops beforehand for the crying scene last time."
Du Jiarui blushed. She was in such a good mood during the last class that she couldn't cry no matter what she tried, so she used a little trick, but Ye Zhizhou saw it.
Her gaze fell on her teacher, Xu Hongyuan, and she noticed that Xu Hongyuan's expression was very unpleasant.
For a professional student, not being able to cry is a very embarrassing thing, especially for his student.
"Ye Zhizhou, don't talk nonsense! Who used eye drops? You're slandering me!"
Du Jiarui hurriedly began to explain in a flustered manner.
Ye Zhizhou pointed to the upper right corner of the classroom, "There are surveillance cameras. They recorded whether you used eye drops or not. I don't need to say more."
She hadn't originally intended to bring this up; as long as Du Jiarui didn't provoke her, everyone would be fine.
But Du Jiarui was restless, so there was no reason for them to let her go.
Du Jiarui involuntarily took a step back, clenched her fists, and uncontrollably reached out her hand, wanting to slap Ye Zhizhou.
Cen Yuzhou stood in front of Ye Zhizhou, forcing Du Jiarui to stop.
"Hitting someone is wrong."
As soon as he said that, Xu Hongyuan realized what he meant, walked over, and said seriously.
“Yuzhou is right, Du Jiarui. It’s better to focus on acting than anything else. Don’t waste your energy on things that shouldn’t be used.”
Du Jiarui lowered her hand and looked at Ye Zhizhou, who was hiding behind Cen Yuzhou. Her jealousy intensified.
She couldn't lash out at Ye Zhizhou in front of her teachers and classmates, so she had no choice but to give up.
"Okay, teacher, I know I was wrong, but Ye Zhizhou won't act with me, that doesn't make sense, does it?"
Ye Zhizhou crossed his arms and was about to speak when Cen Yuzhou spoke first.
"Teacher, let me act with Ye Zhizhou. We're classmates and we know each other quite well."
Ye Zhizhou frowned slightly. When did they become acquainted? It seemed like they had never met at school. The only time they met was in the examination hall.
Xu Hongyuan had always been quite satisfied with Cen Yuzhou, so when he took the initiative to suggest it, he agreed.
"Ye Zhizhou, I'm your partner now. Don't worry, I won't hold you back."
Du Jiarui witnessed Cen Yuzhou's enthusiastic attitude towards Ye Zhizhou, biting her lower lip, feeling resentful.
