"No bet, no bet, I'll treat you to spicy snacks later."
She finally found kindred spirits when it came to eating spicy snacks.
After Qin Xuan and Lu Qing carried the things upstairs, they went to the fifth floor, where Ye Zhizhou and Lin Qiqi lay on the bed, chatting and playing on their phones.
A dozen minutes later, Lu Qing came to their door in person to call them down to play together.
Board games or mahjong?
They stood at the crossroads of the recreation room, struggling to make a decision.
"Mahjong!" Lin Qiqi decisively chose mahjong.
Ye Zhizhou hadn't played many board games, only mahjong, so he chose mahjong as well.
“I’m fine with anything, but what about Qin Xuan?” Lu Qing looked at Qin Xuan.
Qin Xuan slowly uttered two words, "Anything is fine."
Lu Qing made the decision, "Then let's play mahjong!"
There were four of them, enough to make a table for playing mahjong, so the waiter gave them a private room.
"The person who loses the most will sing the Peppa Pig theme song at karaoke later." Lu Qing said with a grin as he pressed the shuffle button on the mahjong table.
Lin Qiqi scoffed, "You're so childish. Who watches Peppa Pig anymore?"
Lu Qing pouted at her, "That's why you sing it, it's childish, otherwise it would be so boring."
Seeing his confident demeanor, Ye Zhizhou smiled and added more weight to the bet.
"The one who loses the worst not only has to sing Peppa Pig, but also has to do the ninth set of broadcast gymnastics."
Lu Qing recalled the difficulty of the ninth set of broadcast gymnastics, "Sister Zhou is ruthless."
The mahjong tiles were brought to the table, and the first round began. Lu Qing played his tiles like crazy, and it only took him two rounds to get to a winning hand.
It's obvious that he won the first round.
"Peppa Pig and the Ninth Set of Broadcast Gymnastics belong to you."
While drinking his juice, Lu Qing didn't forget to remind him.
Ye Zhizhou noticed that Qin Xuan hadn't gotten a winning hand in the first round, and said with concern, "You didn't get a winning hand in the last round, why don't you switch places with me? Maybe you'll have better luck."
She couldn't imagine the aloof, charismatic singer performing Peppa Pig while doing radio calisthenics.
Qin Xuan parted his thin lips slightly, "No need, I've already learned it."
The three people looked completely bewildered: ? ? ?
So, does that mean he actually doesn't know how to play mahjong?
"You learned it in just one game?" Lu Qing was a little hurt. He had to pester his grandmother for a long time to learn it, so why did Qin Xuan learn it so quickly?
He used to think that everyone's IQ was about the same, but now reality has slapped him in the face.
Qin Xuan hummed in agreement, then reminded him, "You're the bookmaker."
Lu Qing pressed the dice, and a new round began. He had won the most in the last round, and he was the dealer again in this round.
An hour later, the weights on Qin Xuan's right side were already overflowing.
Lu Qing looked on with a bitter face as Qin Xuan took all his chips.
"Didn't you say you couldn't do it?"
Qin Xuan said calmly, "I didn't say I couldn't."
Ye Zhizhou thought about it carefully and realized that Qin Xuan had indeed not said that.
Lin Qiqi counted everyone's weights and finally pointed to Lu Qing.
"Peppa Pig and radio calisthenics are yours now, let's go!"
Lu Qing: ...
If I had known he would be the one who lost the most, I wouldn't have bothered playing when we entered the mahjong room.
Ye Zhizhou checked the time. "Let's go have lunch first, and then go to the karaoke bar."
Lu Qing comforted himself, thinking that perhaps they would forget about it after lunch.
This restaurant is very large, with a total of six floors. The top floor is the restaurant, which is decorated in a very cozy style and is divided into two areas: a self-service area and an ordering area.
Having had enough of eating at the cafeteria, the four of them unanimously chose to order à la carte.
In less than half an hour, all the dishes were served, and the group began to eat.
"What are you making? Is it for human consumption?"
A shrill female voice rang out in the restaurant, followed by the sound of plates being thrown and shattering. The waiters hurriedly cleaned up the mess.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. If you have any complaints about our service, please feel free to speak up, but please don't throw the plates."
The waitress was a middle-aged woman. Ye Zhizhou noticed that although she was old, she had a good figure and her makeup was exquisite.
"Can't I throw the plate if I'm not satisfied? The taste is so much worse than what I eat in the city. Why are you charging so much? I'm going to report you to the Industry and Commerce Bureau!"
Despite the waiter's apology, the glamorous woman remained angry. Her face was covered in a thick layer of powder, she wore a strapless mini-skirt, and crossed her legs, looking every bit like a wealthy lady.
"Please don't report our restaurant. I'll go to the kitchen right now and get you a different dish, okay?"
The waitress looked flustered. Being reported would have a huge impact on the company, and she would definitely lose her job because of it.
The woman scoffed, "Changing the dish would still make it just as awful. Forget it, just call your restaurant manager over and have her apologize to me personally."
The waitress looked troubled, and no one around her helped her. She could only blame her bad luck for encountering such a difficult customer, and her salary for the month might be deducted.
Lu Qing was at the forefront of gossip, saying, "I bet this woman is a mistress; a proper wife wouldn't be so tasteless."
Lin Qiqi nodded in agreement, holding up a chicken leg, "She's still the kind of old mistress who can never get ahead, both pretentious and stupid."
They were hurling insults at each other, which Ye Zhizhou found quite enjoyable.
But since she was a stranger to the people involved, she didn't intend to meddle.
The restaurant manager rushed over and kept apologizing to the woman.
"Madam, our restaurant's chefs are all very professional, and your problem does not fall under the category of food quality issues. You will still need to pay for the broken plate and the meal."
The manager, after all, had extensive work experience, and his approach was more professional compared to the waiter's cautiousness.
