Baiyun Yeshan felt somewhat ashamed of Tsunade's praise. Aside from gathering some intelligence, his only accomplishments on this mission were bringing back the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. He felt his strength was still far from sufficient, inferior to the several powerful figures who had appeared that day. He needed to return and train diligently to live up to the Hokage's expectations.
"In any case, you have greatly reduced Konoha's losses. I will give you an A-rank mission record for this mission, and the relevant rewards will be reissued. Now go back and rest."
After dismissing Shirakumo and the others, Tsunade frowned and walked to the window to look outside. Although Konoha appeared bright under the moonlight and streetlights, Tsunade felt as if Konoha was shrouded in a bottomless darkness.
We can no longer let the old man and Danzo get away with this; we must investigate the darkness hidden in Konoha!
Tsunade recalled the subtle hints from some of her former subordinates and resolved to continue the investigation. After all, they had mentioned not only the Uchiha clan and Konoha's property, but also her younger brother, Nawaki!
No matter the cost, she had to find out what was going on!
