Inside the newly built Hokage's office in Konoha Village

"What did you say?!"
Danzo smashed the desk in front of him with a punch, stood up with a sinister look on his face, and then subtly hid his hand behind his back. Feeling the pain in his hand, Danzo's anger burned even more fiercely.
Damn it, why are all the spare desks in the warehouse so sturdy and thick? Even though the warehouse collapsed, many of them are still intact!
What's even more damning is the Daimyo of the Land of Fire. If he hadn't been so reluctant to allocate the funds, I wouldn't have needed to use what I left behind!
At Danzo's angry roar, the Root ninja kneeling on the ground didn't dare to lift their heads, instead lowering them even further.
"Reporting to the Hokage, a document has arrived from the Hidden Cloud Village, accusing Konoha's rogue ninja Uchiha Sasuke of intruding into the Hidden Cloud Village, attacking the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, and colluding with a mysterious person to steal part of the Eight-Tails' power. They demand an explanation from you, Hokage."
"Explain? Explain my ass!"
Upon hearing the name Uchiha, Danzo's pupils almost turned as red as his Sharingan, and he paced back and forth in the room in a fit of rage.
"Evil Uchiha brats, evil Uchiha clan! Why won't they just die obediently? Even after defecting from Konoha, they've caused me so much trouble!"
After thinking for a while, Danzo felt completely lost and could only stand still and say angrily, "Bring me the documents so I can take a look."
Danzo took the document from the Root ninja and quickly scanned it.
It would have been better if he hadn't looked. After just a few glances, Danzo felt a raging fire rush to his head, almost burning away his sanity.
The Root ninjas' words were too polite. Judging from the contents of the document, the Cloud Ninjas weren't asking for an explanation at all; they were practically pointing fingers at Danzo and cursing him. Moreover, the language they used was so vulgar that Danzo didn't even want to think about it.
Huffing and puffing
Forcibly suppressing his anger, Danzo felt like his lungs were about to explode. He had truly become the most powerful figure in Konoha during this time, and he had never suffered such humiliation before.
If it weren't for the threats from Hyuga Kaze and other ninja villages, Danzo would have already launched an attack on the border of the Land of Lightning. He even considered directly attacking the Hidden Cloud Village, thinking that his own nanotech poisoners and Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Bombers could teach those barbarians a lesson.
But the thought of Hyuga Kaze and that masked man dampened his enthusiasm again. For now, he still needed to keep himself hidden and focus on developing his strength by studying Wood Release, Sharingan, and space-time ninjutsu. Enhancing his own power was the top priority.
Even though he thought this way, Danzo couldn't help feeling frustrated. He clenched his fists, wanting to smash something to vent his anger. But after glancing at the desk, which was thicker than a brick, he could only reluctantly let go.
Hiruzen, now I understand why you were so weak before. Being the village leader isn't easy; there are too many bad people outside!
Danzo sighed inwardly, realizing that after becoming the leader, he had become as timid and hesitant as a monkey.
"Report, Iwagakure has sent a notification document."
Just as Danzo was feeling melancholy, the sound of a report coming from outside the door pulled him out of his reverie.
After adjusting his thoughts, Danzo coldly ordered, "Come in!"
Soon the door opened and a Root ninja entered. He immediately knelt down as soon as he entered.
"Reporting to the Hokage, Onoki from Iwagakure has sent a letter requesting a Five Kage Summit to discuss how to deal with the current situation in the ninja world."
"Onoki, the Five Kage Summit!"
Danzo repeated it subconsciously, his brows furrowing involuntarily. This old man was getting more and more troublesome with age, and he was not someone to be trifled with. Thinking that Iwagakure was probably the best-preserved of the five great ninja villages, Danzo felt a sense of foreboding.
After taking the document handed to him by the Root ninja, Danzo only glanced at it before his chest heaved violently again. He was so angry that he almost fell over backward!
Compared to the Cloud Ninja's crude insults, directly accusing Konoha of producing people like Uchiha Sasuke and Hyuga Kaze, and demanding an explanation from Konoha, the old man Onoki's letter was extremely sarcastic and bizarre, practically doing everything he could to infuriate people.
At first, he even seemed quite serious about Konoha's talent development capabilities, praising everyone from the White Fang of Konoha to the Legendary Sannin, and then to Itachi Uchiha and Hyuga Kaze. Later, Onoki even praised Jiraiya for his keen eye for talent, discovering such high-level talent as the founder of Akatsuki from the Land of Rain.
Then he inquired about the situation in Konoha, speaking to Danzo in a tone befitting an elder, saying that if Konoha needed anything, Iwagakure, as a fellow major village in the ninja world, could squeeze out some resources to support Konoha.
It wasn't until the very end of the document that Onoki seemingly casually mentioned wanting the five ninja villages to gather together to discuss the current situation and clarify how to deal with the Akatsuki organization, the common enemy of the ninja world composed of rogue ninjas from various villages.
He also said that if Konoha suffered too many losses and was unable to participate, they should let him know in advance. He, Onoki, could understand, since so many people had left Konoha and it was possible that Konoha was lacking successors.
"Damn old dwarf!"
With a thud, Shimura Danzo slammed Onoki's infuriating document to the ground and cursed through gritted teeth.
"You bastard, didn't the Hidden Stone Village produce a rogue ninja? He was even a key force in attacking the Hidden Sand Village. Do you think you're so clean?!"
"You're even discussing the situation in the ninja world? If Konoha hadn't suffered losses before, you wouldn't have had a chance to speak up!"
Danzo grew increasingly angry as he spoke. Konoha had suffered immense losses under Hiruzen Sarutobi, and he should have taken over long ago. He was determined to accelerate the Wood Release experiments, as his current Wood Release power was nowhere near the earth-shattering might of the First Hokage.
If he could fully master the power of the First Hokage, and with the Sharingan he had accumulated, he wouldn't be afraid even if Hyuga Kaze reappeared.
"Lord Hokage, we don't know how to respond to Kumogakure and Iwagakure, and also, will you attend the Five Kage Summit convened by Onoki?"
Danzo cursed and pondered for a long time before the Root ninja next to him dared to ask a question weakly. Then Danzo kicked him away, making him roll several times on the floor.
"Since Onoki looks down on Konoha so much, how can I not participate? As for the Cloud Ninja, aren't they going to give us a reply? I'll give them a proper answer at the Five Kage Summit!"
Onoki replied that he agreed to the meeting, and the time and place would be as he suggested.
"Someone, prepare for our departure tomorrow. I want to see just how strong that old bastard Onoki really is!"
