Chapter 190 Back and Forth

Dissatisfied with the farmer's reaction, Xiao Hao smashed the man's kneecaps with an axe. Finally, he heard the farmer cry out in pain, and then felt a sharp pain in his mouth as his tongue was cut off.

"The dead are the happiest. The living suffer the most. Don't you like to eat human flesh? Enjoy it with your son. There's plenty left in the pot."

They found the compressed biscuits on the farmer's body and took Xueye out of the yard.

Someone was watching from a distance, but when they saw Xiao Hao come out, they retreated back inside.

Xiao Hao loathed the villagers. He patted the dog's head and said, "Go ahead, take them all, don't hold back."

If it weren't for his and Xueye's martial arts skills, they would already be food for the villagers.

Xueye had been waiting for this one sentence, so he dashed out, causing a commotion.

Dogs don't distinguish between men, women, young, or old. They have no pity for the weak or poor. In their mouths, they only distinguish between what their owners allow them to bite and what their owners don't.

Someone ran out of the village, only to be shot in the head by Xiao Hao, who was standing on a high place.

The group that attacked them were the village's core members; the rest were the elderly, women, and children. Xiao Hao wasn't worried that anything would happen on snowy night.

After waiting for a while, Xueye returned triumphantly, its teeth still stained with blood, which was quite unpleasant to look at. It took a bottle of mineral water to clean its mouth.

Xiao Hao didn't want to stay in the village for even a minute longer, and with Xue Ye by his side, he walked further and further away.

Zuo Ling took out the Doomsday Chariot, intending to provide Pei Nansheng with multiple layers of protection. However, the Doomsday Chariot was too conspicuous, attracting either beggars or people who wanted to take advantage of it.

After overcoming numerous obstacles, two days later, when Pei Nansheng found Xiao Hao, Xiao Hao was being chased and beaten by a group of people.

A child with a big dog is a sitting duck wherever he goes.

They had no fixed abode, no rest, and had to be constantly on guard against bad people. Both the man and the dog were injured.

Looking around, it seemed like everyone was trying to devour him and Xueye. Xiao Hao was exhausted and wanted to cry out loud.

Zuo Ling prepared a backpack for Xiao Hao containing 200 bullets. Xiao Hao got 17 bullets and used 42 of them.

Realizing the perilous situation and not knowing when he could find his older siblings, and fearing that he would run out of bullets and be left without them in a critical moment, Xiao Hao would avoid using his gun if possible.

I didn't bring many darts. We were chasing each other around and didn't have time to retrieve them, so I only had two left.

He was too exhausted to run anymore. He was panting heavily with his tongue lolling out in the snowy night. His bloodshot eyes glared at the bad guys who were surrounding him. He was so annoyed. Why could they never finish biting him?

"Hahahaha... Little kid, run, run faster, why did you stop running?"

"The little rascal can run pretty fast, he's exhausted me."

"Even dogs have backpacks, I'm living worse than a dog."

"Guess what's in the backpack that dog's carrying?"

"..."

The group laughed and joked, playing cat and mouse; their joy lay in... the play!

Xiao Hao stared at them coldly with a tense face, his hand stroking Xue Ye's back. Gouzi looked at him, asking, "Shall we do it?"

We'll definitely do it. It's either them or us who die. There's no rush.

He was conserving his strength; the longer the battle dragged on, the more disadvantageous it would be for him and Xueye.

One of them was annoyed that Xiao Hao kept glaring at them, so he reached out to slap Xiao Hao on the head. Xiao Hao grabbed his arm, tapped his thigh with his toe, and leaped onto his shoulder. The crowd gasped in surprise, and in a daze, Xiao Hao had already gracefully jumped down.

The man crashed to the ground, blood gushing from his neck. He was still breathing, one hand clutching his neck, the other pointing at Xiao Hao. His eyes held both shock and resentment; he couldn't understand how his throat had been slit in the blink of an eye.

"Damn it, you're asking for it!"

Enraged, the crowd charged at Xiao Hao.

Xiao Hao had already jumped onto the second person's shoulder, and with the same move, he succeeded again.

He charged left and right through the crowd on a snowy night, creating opportunities for Xiao Hao.

Xiao Hao used the switchblade that Zuo Ling gave him; they bought a total of five, and Pei Nansheng also had one.

After two people died in succession, everyone realized that the little brat they were talking about was not a lamb to the slaughter that they could eat at will.

"It's a little wolf cub! Everyone, attack together!"

Five years into the apocalypse, few of those who have survived are truly good people. Someone pulled out a gun, and before Xiao Hao could dodge, a shot rang out.

Xiao Hao closed his eyes. Was he going to die?

Bang, bang, bang... seven or eight gunshots rang out in succession.

It didn't hurt. He opened his eyes and saw a tall figure walking towards him from the light and shadow. Tears welled up and flowed faster and faster.

I dashed out into the snowy night. Woof, woof, woof! Why are you only arriving now?!

Pei Nansheng stroked the dog. The dog had about a dozen wounds of varying sizes on its body, and in one area, all the fur had fallen out, indicating that it had clearly been through more than one fierce battle.

"Good dog, not bad."

Woof, woof, woof, chest puffed out and head held high, of course I'm a good dog!

Just as Pei Nansheng was about to stroke Xiao Hao's head, Xiao Hao threw himself into Pei Nansheng's arms and burst into tears.

Two days have passed, and his older siblings still haven't found him. The little guy can't help but have wild thoughts: Has he drifted that far? Have his older siblings abandoned him?

Upon seeing her brother, she could no longer control her emotions.

In just two days, Xiao Hao had visibly lost a lot of weight, his eyes were dark and swollen, his clothes were dirty and torn, and he had injuries on his body.

Pei Nansheng glanced coldly at the corpse on the ground. Damn it, he had made such a mess of his adorable younger brother.

After letting Xiao Hao cry for a while, Pei Nansheng gently patted Xiao Hao's back, "Alright, that's enough. I taught you so much, not so you would cry your eyes out."

Xiao Hao buried herself in her brother's arms, crying and whining, "Brother, why did it take you so long to come to me? I thought you didn't want me anymore."

"How could I bear to part with such an adorable little brother? Oh dear, your older brother is badly injured and has almost bled to death, yet you don't seem to care about him at all."
