Dressed in Han Chinese attire, Pei Nansheng and Zuo Ling strolled leisurely, standing out among the Tibetans.
"Are they the people in that car?" the tall, thin monk asked the shorter monk.
"The man arrived later, accompanied by a baby and a large dog. I haven't seen the woman before; she must have been in the car."
The tall, thin monk looked surprised: "Those thugs were killed by that woman?"
The short monk shook his head, looking very puzzled: "On the day the shooting happened, I didn't see anyone get out of the car. I don't know if it was her."
He paused for a moment, then added, "The mountain road is difficult to travel, and the vehicles are so big, I don't know how they managed to drive up here."
He scratched his head. "It seems like it just suddenly appeared there."
The tall, thin monk remained silent for a long time, then the short monk asked, "It's hard to tell friend from foe, what should we do?"
"Let's wait and see. The temple can't withstand any more turmoil."
Pei Nansheng and Zuo Ling had both disappeared from sight before the tall, thin monk withdrew his gaze.
He sighed deeply, raised one hand, held the prayer beads in the other, and murmured to himself:
"May Heaven have mercy and protect us so that we may safely overcome this calamity..."
When they returned after picking up the car, they saw many people going in and out of Rongbuk Monastery. They had been there for more than half a month but hadn't been inside yet. Zuo Ling couldn't help but be curious and pulled Pei Nansheng inside to see it for themselves.
Rongbuk Monastery is quite different from temples in Central China. While Central China temples are mostly red-walled and green-tiled, Rongbuk Monastery is characterized by its white color scheme. The way prayers and blessings are performed also differs from those in Central China.
In temples in the Central Plains, incense burners are often placed not far from the main gate, with smoke billowing from them and thick layers of incense ash inside.
In many temples, in front of different main halls, there are incense burners of various sizes. Some temples have more than one, with one large and two small ones being the basic configuration.
Rongbuk Monastery does not have large incense burners. Instead, people pray and offer blessings in front of rows of low houses. The main deities enshrined in each house are different, and mani stones of various sizes are piled up in front of the houses.
As Zuo Ling walked, her gaze was drawn to a peculiar stone on the mani pile.
Just as I was about to take a closer look, the waterfall suddenly started shaking its head and acting crazy, pointing its little paws at a white stone and making little noises.
Zuo Ling quickly held it down. Fortunately, the little guy was subdued just as it went berserk, and no one else noticed. Only Pei Nansheng glanced in their direction.
The white stone had lotus seat markings drawn on it. Zuo Ling was curious and reached out to touch it. Thousands of needles shot up her arm and spread all over her body. She pulled her hand back as if she had been electrocuted.
Damn it, which despicable person painted a layer of white ash on the outside of the second-ranked white energy crystal?!
It took a while for the stinging sensation to subside.
After circling the white stone for a long time, I secretly rejoiced. With so many people coming and going at Rongbuk Monastery, it was inevitable that some people with supernatural abilities would come here. Fortunately, there was a layer of white ash, otherwise, someone would have gotten there first.
The waterfall pointed at another white stone and continued its madness. Zuo Ling quickly soothed it and whispered, "Okay, okay, I know."
Two white energy crystals have been discovered in succession. Rongbuk Monastery is quite interesting!
The waterfall looked up at her and said, "Didn't you want that? Take it now!"
Zuo Ling certainly wanted to keep it for herself, but with so many people watching, how could she take it? She'd have to perform a magic trick right there on the spot!
Pat it, "Take another look, take another look."
After going around in and out, the waterfall went crazy 18 times, and there were 18 white energy crystals ranked second.
Without exception, the crystal bears the imprint of a lotus seat.
In Buddhism and Taoism, 18 symbolizes perfection; in Feng Shui, it also signifies wealth and smooth sailing.
It was obvious that the person who made the stone knew it was an energy crystal, which was why they disguised it on the surface. Zuo Ling dared not make any rash moves.
